Positive Power. When God shows up.
How Many of us Remember the story of Gideon in the Bible, when "God ask him to go in the strength he has and go and deliver Israel from the hands of the Midianites."
At times in life some of us claim to have a Big God and yet exhibit small God.
Listen to Gideon’s Response.
How Some of Us Exhibit Small God: Gideon Responded to the LORD and say " LORD how can I save Israel? when my Family is the poorest in Manasseh and i am the youngest in my father's house." Judg. 6: 14-15.. Lol, wouldn't you just love Gideon’s Response, after all who wan die.. yet we all want to go to heaven. Lol
How would you access Gideon’s weakness here; He saw himself in a way that rationalize his passivity, he has this access of excusing himself from what he sees in himself.
The Assurance: The LORD Assured Gideon that he was going to be with him and he shalt smite the Midianites as ONE MAN. Judg. 6 vs 16.
Lesson: It shows that God will always use the un-likely to do the un-usual. and some of us often fail this TEST in our spiritual Journey.
What’s the Chance that God can Use an Un-likely to do the usaul:
With Gideon we were meant to understand that he exhibited the behavior that he was terrified that the Midianites might track him down and take him away, he was NOT some action Hero then, he was living with a little distant, non-caring, non-capable far away God. And when we live our lives with Little God, we are living a world without DREAMS or POSIBILITIES where things DO NOT and CANNOT change. As things were yesterday so they will be again tomorrow,
So we settle, for Treasuring with a Wine crest
We settle, in a Harmful Habit
We settle, into ON Relenting Failure
We settle, into Ruining that beautiful Relationships.
We settle, for Complaining when we could be Contributing
We settle, for Surviving when we could be Thriving
We settle, for Renting when we should be Buying
We settle, for Maintaining when we should be Building.
We settle, for Today when we should be working on Tomorrow.
We settle, for what has been when God is calling us to what can be.
But we can praise God today, we can thank God today that God will not leave us with a little view of divinity. Because it is the will of God that we will come to know, comprehend and understand that
For God is always, Greater, always stronger, always larger than our view of God.
That God is Bigger than what you think of God.
God shows up to Gideon to tell him that where he thinks He is; IS NOT indicative of who he is…
Who told you, you cannot be that which you see in your Dreams,
Who told you, you cannot land the Big contract.
Who told you, you cannot be a graduate.
Who told you, you are not qualified to be the Next President.
Who told you, you cannot be married or Remain single if you so desire.
Who told you, you cannot have a child of your own.
Are you like Gideon in the Bible, begin to look inward to find out who you think you have.
A Small God or Big God.
How long do you have to go through the same thing, the same pain, the same hurt, the same betrayal, the same disappointment before you realize it.
Till then say to that problem/challenges to stay out of your way okay?
