I think the wedding scene was meant to confront us with how are minds are wired to think the misogynistic though first instead of analysing the man’s behaviour and choices

I know people have probably already said this, but I love that she also included a black man being smushed and uncomfortable as the white man takes up all the space on the subway. Women and minorities are constantly just expected to make space to accommodate rich white men. It’s a misconception that sexism, and toxic male privilege benefit all men in the same way, in reality it’s white cis het men who benefit most from the status quo not changing. Like women, men of color are often not welcomed or supported in spaces dominated by mostly white men. And I just feel like many well intended feminist statements miss that.

If I could put this on my blog permanently as a warning sign, I would.
