Streamers passively watching other streamers (who sometimes watch other streamers) play games or whatever is some of the weirdest and laziest shit I've seen over the past few years. This happens a lot in gacha game spaces. I don't know why this is a thing or why it became a thing. At that point just play the damn game yourself or go do something else productive.

People are being mad weird about Stellar Blade similar to how they reacted when Nier Automata came out. If fictional and thick anime women with jiggly assets are getting you that mad that you feel the need to write long ass think pieces and Twitter threads about it, then don't play the damn game. Clearly, it's not for you. And for the filthy incels on the other side, stop with the weirdo shit. You're embarassing yourself lol.

While Nomura desperately wanting to be done with the FFVIIR trilogy is amusing, it also puts things into perspective. These projects are big as hell and take years of commitment. You have to give it your all mentally, physically, and emotionally. That's a lot of time, energy, and resources to sacrifice for one big project, which speaks to why AAA game development cycles are unsustainable. It's reaching Disney-Marvel levels which is bad. A big budget does not equal quality — something I'm hoping Disney and Marvel have realized by now.

AAA projects will always be around so long as publishers and investors are willing to front the bread for them. But the scope needs to be dialed back by a thousand. Personally, I'd prefer to have more games in similar scope to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Spider-Man: Miles Morales. But I don't think people are ready for that. Games are treated like movies now instead of what they actually are. You can blame whoever for that but it is what it is. It's up to the developers and the gamers to want things to shift away from that.

The one thing that shocked me when I heard Nomura speak for the first time was the fact that he has a deep ass voice. Here you have this young-looking Japanese man who (based on photos I saw of him at the time) looks like he belongs in a boy band, and then he opens his mouth and it's like "wait, what???" His voice did not match that way he looked to me lol.

Nomura has the chance to do something real funny tomorrow. Imagine the huge collective hype only to be reminded that it's April Fool's Day, and then the disappointment immediately sets in. Day ruined for real lol.

I'mma have to start buying games physical again. Prior to me getting a PS4, I mainly bought games on disc. I switched to digital mostly for the ease of access and not having to deal with scratches, cracks, etc. But with the eventual digital store shutdowns and the fact that you'll lose your games and purchases if you get banned or something happens to your account, I'm gonna have to start buying games on disc sooner than I thought.

I always planned to start buying games on disc again (along with digital) just so I could avoid those eventualities. Cost is the issue though. I'm waiting for the prices to drop so I can buy them cheap. This is only with games though. All the anime, movies, and tv shows I have are all on dvd/blu-ray. Same for manga and the two stacks of light novels sitting on my shelf that I haven't read yet lol.

Guess I'm one of the few who thought Chadley and MAI were funny especially when they're fighting for attention from Cloud, who really couldn't give less of a fuck lol. Not gonna lie though, MAI does talk too much during the fiend intel challenges. If she is in Part 3, they need to tone that down a bit.

As I was playing FFVII: Rebirth, I realized just how much I miss having the experience of being fully immersed in a game and truly enjoying it from start to finish. Neo: The World Ends With You and Tales of Arise were the last games I played where I was fully invested. That was three years ago. I got into Genshin Impact right after that — a decision I regret till this day. That game has done near-irreparable damage to my gaming habits. It's to the point that I can hardly enjoy gaming anymore.

What got me was feeling obligated to play almost every single fuckin' day, the horrendous RNG, the bloated ass dialogue, being dissatisfied with the state of the game, etc. Basically, I was burnt out. It was hard to get into any games I played during that period. Lately, I've been contemplating leaving the gacha game shit alone. Rebirth might've reinforced that.

Last month, I got into the Wuthering Waves closed beta and I wasn't really feeling it. Don't get me wrong — the game was fun but after three years of the daily gacha grind shit...I don't know if I can play another one. Plus, Rebirth was out and I wasn't gonna stall playing it over a fuckin' gacha game. My almost non-existent work-life balance wasn't helping either. So, I dropped it. I'll still check it out on launch but...I don't know.

Playing Rebirth put things into perspective. I don't want to feel obligated to play something to satisfy some false sense of progression. I want to experience a game to it's fullest and actually enjoy it. I can't do that with gacha games. So, I'm done. Star Rail and Wuthering Waves will likely be it for me. Almost feel like I'm on the verge of being freed, not gonna lie lol.

FFVII: REBIRTH SPOILERS | Sephiroth has two near-instant kill attacks that he repeatedly spams in the second half of the final battle. One eats chunks of your HP in miliseconds if you don't move and the other, if you don't break Masamune or his wing, will instantly bring you down to 1HP. Thankfully, Aerith is there to help out though that's only if he hasn't killed her because HE WILL straight up ignore Cloud and kill Aerith. Like, you could be in the middle of throwing blows and he'll deadass leave, go kill her, and come back like nothing happened. The same thing happens the second you revive her too lol. Not only that, he actually pops shit about her after the fact. Sephiroth is a menace bruh.

Flaws to Add to Characters

So, are you searching on how to make your character a little bit less perfect without giving them too many extreme deficiencies? Well, I have a few examples, and some of you guys might've not even realized that they're flaws!

Inability to get over the past - This doesn't have to be as serious as people think! Maybe the past just influenced your character in a way that affects his modern life!

Self-reliance - This doesn't sound like a flaw, doesn't it? Well, in some cases, it could be an issue a character struggles to overcome, and other times, it can actually be a part of a character's development! However, the act of never accepting help from someone is most definitely a shortcoming.

Apathy - I think that this is pretty self-explanatory. Over-passionate people are dangerous, but worse than that are people who don't care enough.

Over-passionate - It's still a flaw, guys! Having too much passion for one thing to the point where nothing else matters is harmful to your character.

Vengeful - This is also rather clear, I don't think I need to further explain this.

Detached - Almost like self-reliance, but to a more severe degree, where they don't see the need for not only anyone's help, but for anyone in general.

Possessiveness - If a character is too possessive towards another character, it could harm the latter's mental health and ruin any relationship between the two.

Manipulative - I hope that no one needs me to explain this!

Self-destructive - Honestly, this has a pretty wide range of examples, it could go from neglecting oneself to actual self-harm. Either way, it's definitely not healthy for a character.

Superiority/God complex - The problem is in the name: a character with these complexes simply believes that they are better than everyone else. It's similar to arrogance, but not quite the same.

Here you go! Ten flaws that you can incorporate in your characters!

FFVII: REBIRTH SPOILERS | Its gonna take me a while to process what the fuck I just saw and played for the past three hours. There's too much I want to talk about but I'll say this; this is the best game I've played in years. And I'm deadass. From start to finish, I truly enjoyed every last second of this game. Like, you don't know bruh. I wish I could relive this experience again.

FFVII: REBIRTH SPOILERS | Look, I'm not into shipping and all that but goddamn...that was certainly something. I got Tifa for the date (both times) and man, I wish I could've recorded my reaction lol. I was going in on Cloud like, "You better not fuck this up", "Bruh, take her hand! Take her hand!", "I know your dense ass is gonna say ye - you motherf-". But as soon as they kissed I got up and did a lil goofy ass dance all happy and shit lol. It was fun. I don't think there will ever be a game that could get me this hyped about stuff like this again.

FFVII REBIRTH SPOILERS | Chadley and MAI competing for Cloud's nonexistent affection was not something I expected to happen. It's funny though. Right now I'm doing the rest of the leftover side quests and fiend intels I skipped before I visit Gold Saucer for the second time. I don't know who the hell I'm going on the date with though. Tifa, Aerith, and Yuffie all have blue icons. I was aiming for Tifa too but as long as it's not Aerith (nothing against her, I just don't find her all that intetesting) I'll be all right. Also, it was good to see Nayo and others again. Wish we could've taken her with us but whatever. Oh, I meant to write about this ealier but what the fuck happened to Glenn??? He went from a happy airheaded dumbass to an Organization XIII member. What in the Kingdom Hearts is going on with him??

FFVII: REBIRTH SPOILERS | I just got done fighting Vincent in his beast form for the last two fucking hours. I got so pissed off I had to temporarily switch to easy mode just to get through the fight. And I'm playing on Normal. He is way too fuckin' difficult. This section with Cait Sith was testing my patience.

FFVII: REBIRTH SPOILERS | I got to Cosmo Canyan last night and...what the fuck was that?! I was not expecting that voice to come out of his mouth. That was some crazy whiplash lol. And I was wondering who that upbeat voice was that was talking to Aerith earlier. I should've known it was Red XIII/Nanaki because he was the only one in the room with her. Had me thinking her white materia was alive lol.

FFVII: REBIRTH SPOILERS | Sephiroth's beef with Tifa is crazy. I was sittin' there laughing like, "Damn, what did she do to make this nigga that mad?" lol. Also, Barret and Dyne's part of the story was better than I'd thought it'd be. These bosses are starting to whoop my ass though. Scarlett had me cursing her out the whole battle. She was on 1HP and refused to die because I didn't do enough damage during the stagger window, so she got her damn arm cannons back (which are a bitch to destroy due to her flying everywhere). Aerith was the only one alive. Luckily, I managed to take her down with Aerora. Scarlett bad but she evil as fuck though.
