It’s tragic Nakyum is Seungho’s last lifeline, the only semblance Seungho has to anything healthy and functional (his own family wants to exorcise him), because Nakyum shouldn’t be dealing with this, but if he decides he would, he should know what he is getting himself into.

The betrayal of trust cuts deep, even deeper than the physical pain, because Nakyum’s truly given his heart to Seungho and had expectations. He wholeheartedly believed Seungho’s promise and it’s fitting that now he is literally pushing Seungho away - the only thing Seungho asked him to promise him not to do.

For the first time ever, Seungho is openly disgusted with himself and scared of himself for hurting Nakyum, as much as frightened that he might have fucked everything up for good. After finding out the truth about the kidnapping he regretted his action, now his self-loathing is clear.

He never apologized for their first time or the rape at the pavillion, blaming Nakyum for it. Even after the kidnapping, he said he is someone who can’t apologize, but now Seungho is accepting all the blame and apologizing sincerely and so inaptly because he doesn’t know how.

Nakyum is the one who’s been hurt but it’s Seungho who is trembling and scared shitless, both of hurting Nakyum and losing him. Accepting the blame and responsibility and the fact that he is not alright are a huge character development and first steps towards healing.

The perfect precious human being that is Nakyum! Even though he is in such pain, the moment he sees Seungho’s bloodied hand, his heart goes out to him, all his concern for him. This boy’s goodness and love are immeasurable.
