3. Least favourite things to draw?
I answered this in a previous ask, but I'll go a bit further in detail.
The human head/face at different angles. This is my artistic Achilles heel, moreso than hands and feet. Something about the way the jawline and neck looks when a character is looking up throws me off. Any figure drawing practice I do these days is focused on trying to get this right.
4. Favourite things to draw?
Animals in general, including anthros/furries, but I've got a soft spot for birds and their feathered wings.
Mythological creatures make up the majority of subjects in my sketchbooks. Dragons, minotaurs, and guardian lions are my typical favorites.
If I could get into a better habit of finishing my illustrations, I'd be sharing more art of biblically accurate angels.

I've been looking through my sketchbooks, both old and current, to find some art to share. Between freelance work and recovering from excessive stress, I'm able to find the time to do some personal drawing. I'll be doing my best to post more art.

Those bumpy nose horns are SO sick!

A few snapshots of dragon sketches in ballpoint and fineliner pens. I often drag my feet on designing my actual dragon characters and opt for doing headshots of random dragons instead. But this keeps me actively drawing, at the very least.
I do love the nose horns on the big fella though, so I'm gonna be exploring that design element further in a character of mine.

So I'm not sure if you'd call these redesigns or reimagining, But I wanted to take a crack at drawing the character from the Sonic series in a way I wish they'd appear in canon media!
If you're aware of the OVA you're probably already familiar with some of the characters shown here as well as certain adornments they have! The Sonic OVA is a HUGE inspiration to me, I watched it a lot with my sibling when we were both kids- and it had a large influence on my art! It's hands-down my favorite portrayal of the Sonic franchise.
I hope you enjoy my silly attempt at drawing these characters! I tried to match the art style of both the OVA as well as official artworks!

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard
Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.
Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.
Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.
Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.
SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.
SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.
Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.
Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.
Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.
Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.
Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

I wonder if @neil-gaiman might know about anything off the top of his head. This seems like something he'd have some pocket wisdom on.
(It's worth a shot, at least. Like your mystery mythocryptid, I can't find if tumblr alerts someone when their name is invoked in a post. All the results keep talking about tags and I know those don't work.)
OK, I need some help finding a mythological/folktale thing! I remember reading about it somewhere online recently but I didn't write it down (like a fool). I'd also never heard of it before, which means it must not be from a heavily popularized folklore/mythos.
It's either a monster or a cursed spirit that lures its victims and forces them to take its place, leaving them to look for a new victim to curse.
Details I'm not sure about:
Mirror? Well? Lake? Swamp?
Might be a shape shifter?
I think it was European?

A hawoo!
As part of our school's end of the school year festivities we hold a staff and faculty art show. As a member of the Visual Arts Department I am required to submit something for the show. On the upside, I'm allowed to work digitally (only fair, since I'm a computer art teacher) on the downside the deadline is in just one month!
I spent the last week doing research on what I want to paint. I still haven't quite figured it out but I do know I want to do a classic fairy storybook style illustration (or two) for my "Wishing Stars" universe. I've been collecting inspiration online and plan to visit the local library this week to raid the children's section for more.
Here's the real kicker: I started thumbnailing possible ideas yesterday and then, for some godforsaken reason, decided to write my ideas out instead. 48 hours and just over 5,000 words later I have done a ton of story development (and an entire fairy tale complete with a dark ending) but haven't even the slightest idea of what I want to illustrate.
