Want to know how corrupt the pharmaceutical industry is?
See this?
This is called Afrezza. It’s an inhaler for diabetic insulin. That’s right. An inhaler. That means no more needles. It’s only for fast acting insulin, but it could still vastly improve the life of a lot of diabetics.
Imagine having to constantly prick yourself with needles to keep yourself alive, and then suddenly there’s a new product that could change the whole way you live your life for the better.
And here’s the thing: it works. It works really really well. People with diabetes that have been lucky enough to have used it think it’s amazing.
But sadly, it’s probably going to end up as a failure because the pharmaceutical company (a French company called Sanofi) that was in charge of marketing it didn’t care enough to actually try. Not only that, but they made it incredibly expensive so hardly anyone could afford it. Most people have never heard of it, and the way things are going, no one else ever will.
Please reblog this to raise awareness of this product and hopefully get another company to market it. It could change so many lives.
I gasped and looked around, what Hell scape had they thrown me in this time? Clutching to my bleeding side I looked around, everything I knew and loved it was gone.
Hot tears welled up in my eyes as I staggered forward. I had to keep moving, this was what, i wasn’t sure how many times I had been thrown into some other terrifying world. What did they want with me though? I’m just a minor character!
Snap, the ground beneath me crumbled and i tumbled down into darkness. Listening closely I could hear the fan describe the terror I was feeling. Yes I was scared, but I wasn’t that scared.
Hitting the ground hard I groaned in pain and looked around. It was dark damp and smelled horrendous. One of the good things though was that there were some lamb ear plants near by, big clumps of plump soft leaves that helped to stop bleeding. Snatching some up i pressed them to the wound I’d gotten from the previous world.
A soft growl came from behind me and I knew it was time for me to go. Running I held the leaves to my wound I weaved between trees and bushes until i felt i was safe.
I wanted to go home, but until i found a way back i would be trapped here. . . It’d been almost a week since this had happened. I’d changed a lot, but i still kept myself the same. I used to not know how to survive on my own, now, i knew how to fight and survive.
There in the distance a soft and warm light and the music of my village. It was my way home. I’d seen it so many times and I’d almost reach it before i was yanked away to another world, this was my last chance.
The growl came back and I launched myself at the light. I could feel somethings hot breath on my back and i ran faster than I thought i really could. My fingers just barely brushed the warm light when i felt teeth sink into my back leg.
Screaming I grabbed whatever i could and turned around and saw that what had my leg was a huge wolf. Slamming the huge rock I’d picked up against the wolf’s head i heard a sickening crack. The wolf yelped in pain and snarled, i took the moment to pull my leg away and crawl my way into the light.
Sitting up and gasping i looked around, home, I’m home.
You are a minor character in a work of fantasy, though the author doesn’t seem that bad, making sure everyone gets some sort of happy ending. Unfortunately there’s a large group of fans that decide they didn’t like how the story ended and the fanfiction writers have come together to write, for an entire week, horrible short works about you and how you come to a miserable bloody end or end up emotionally destroyed. Tell how you try to survive this week and avoid breaking too badly.
