Prompt #2-Suyin
Prompt # 2 - Suyin
Requestor: @helplesslesbeean
I’m just on a roll, and there needs to be more Su, I’ll eventually get around to Korra and Lin. But Kya and Su need more loving.
—-
Glancing up from my journal to stare at her beauty, I smile as I watch her so focused in her work, and wonder how I got so lucky to have her in my life. I look back down at my sketch of her, but something was missing.
“Hey, whatcha got there?” Su asked as I looked up and saw the love of my life standing in all her glory in her dark green robes with metal plates standing above me looking gorgeous. I just smiled up at her, as she sat down next to me and questioned the drawing of her standing across the courtyard. I smiled and kissed the side of her lips. “What do you think love?”
“I think, you should stop drawing me, and focus on the city my bagermole.” Su says loving while capturing my lips with hers, and deepening the kiss. Always the forward one in the relationship, which I could never protest. I have always followed her like a lost puppy until she set me up with a dream of my own, and I fell in love designing her city, our city.
I pulled away and smiled at her cheesily. She just laughed and shook her head and kissed me again, and pulled me up for dinner. I just closed my journal and followed her into our house.

What makes you beautiful (Suyin)
Inspiration from "What Makes You Beautiful" (1D)
--
"I don't know what to do that will make her fall for me, I've tried everything Lin!!"
"Have you tried impregnating her? Worked with the last one." Lin continued as she flipped through the newspaper at the dinner table. It was just the two of you, since everyone else was out training. You were apart of the Zafou guard to try and impress Suyin, the love of your life. Your attempts to get Suyin to notice you haven't gone unnoticed, just not what you wanted. Su would always just smile and give you a brief kiss on the cheek or little side hug and be taken away to attend to some sort of emergency. You were desperate at this point.
You got along with all her children, and ever since their father left, and it left their mother a hundred more times busy, Su barely took time to sleep, let alone try dating again, saying all she needed were her children. Everyone saw through it, but couldn't convince her otherwise.
"Not funny. I'm serious, you're her sister!! Shouldn't you have some ideas?!" You exasperated, arms outstretched and head on the table. Lin gave you a side eye and then rolled her eyes, folded her newspaper down and looked at you deadpanned.
"Su likes big gestures. Hell the last one helped her build this entire city. You have a lot to compare to. Those little flirty moments, won't cut it. Whatever you do, make it big, involve her family, and show her you're not leaving." Lin then got up and left you to your thoughts. You instantly started planning away.
--
"Opal!! Hey, I need your help, and I need you to get everyone but your mother involved, but figure out when she can get a day completely free." You ran up to Opal to explain the rest of your plan, and she was fully on board, along with the rest of her siblings. They all loved you, and already half viewed you as a parent almost, or good friend or some sort. They all loved the idea of you with the mother, and couldn't imagine anyone else with her. Even Kuvira appreciated you and all you did to help Su with the city and her family.
--
"MOM!! I need help!" Opal shouted, sounding completely frantic and worried. Su instantly dropped what she was doing and ran to find her daughter who was shouting at the dinning room. She ran up to her to make sure she was safe.
"Opal, honey, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Su asked worried as she made sure Opal was okay. Su was very tired and stressed out about the train station being behind schedule for the grand opening, affecting the loan for the project, making her stay up even later than she normally does. With dark bags under her eyes, and her hair a little untamed, everyone could see that Su was stressed and overworked, but she refused help from anyone.
"Mom, come here, follow me! Hurry, you're going to miss it! Mom, stop walking so slow!! Lets go!" Opal started shouting while grabbing her mother's hand and pulling her behind her as she ran to the back yard where her twin brothers would train with their power disc game. Su, completely sleep deprived and over stressed wasn't sure what was happening, but Opal wouldn't let up or explain.
"Opal, where are we going, I need to get back, what's happening?" All her questions getting ignored, and she just continued to get pulled to the back. She started to worry that her boys got injured in a game, and needed medical attention ,but then why would Opal call for her and not a medic?
Instantly when Opal broke out into the back yard, there was giant speakers and a crowd gathered of her entire family and friends. Su looked so confused, as people started cheering and confetti blasted everywhere and puffs of fire on the side line went up when she got dragged to the middle of everyone and sat into a chair. Su who was still shocked to see her mother of all people amongst all of this, and wondering what was happening, just open and closed her mouth a few times until she spotted you.
You had gotten with Varick to get all the speakers and band and all the lights. You were dressed in the typical clothing that Su and her children wore, the green robes, with a metal top and black pants and boots. Your hair was pulled back into a high ponytail with make up and bits of glitter on, you slammed on the guitar and started singing.
"You're insecure, don't know what for. You're turning heads when you walk through the door."
You sang atop the stage while looking at her, and giving her a quick wink. Su looked completely dumbfounded and confused, with a small smile on her face staring up at you. The avatar gang and her children were all jumping up and down and cheering.
"Baby, you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed. But when you smile at the ground, it ain't hard to tell that you don't know, you don't know that you're beautiful!"
You continued to slam on the guitar and wink at Su again at the end of the chorus. You took off the guitar and tossed it to the other band member who could play it. You took the mic and hopped off the stage and ran up to 3 giant covered tarps, and pulled the first one down while you continued to sing.
As it fell, Su could see a giant rock statue of herself and her children all together all with smiles and hugging each other. Su felt her eyes tear up as she looked at it, and you ran to the next one and pulled it down to reveal another statue, but of just the two of you and Su. Hugging and smiling at one another, and looking into each other's eyes.
You watched as Su brought a hand to her mouth to cover a gasp and dart her eyes to Lin and her mother who stood next to each other looking half impressed and half bored. They just gave her a little head nod back to you as you ran to the last tarp and continued to sing.
"If only you saw what I can see, you would know why I want you so desperately."
You smile at her and pull down the tarp and it reveals a giant statue of you, her, and her children. All together smiling and hugging and the two of you looking at each other. Su looked to her children who all gave her thumbs up and were cheering, even Kuvira gave her a nod.
Everyone started to sing along "nana, na, na, na, na, na." as you made your way up to Su, and panting slightly and a giant grin plastered on your face, you took a knee before her and held her hand with your free hand, and continued to sing softly.
"Baby, you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed. But when you smile at the ground, it ain't hard to tell that you don't know, you don't know that you're beautiful."
You pause, breathing heavily staring at Su, holding your breath a bit.
"Su, I've been in love with you since I moved to your city, and I couldn't imagine to continue living in it without you by my side every day and night. I know you were done dirty, and it left you with a lot on your plate, but I am asking, no begging you. To let me in, and help you take on that load together. I promise I'll never leave, or make rash decisions without your input, and I promise to help you raise your amazing, brilliant, hilarious, talented children until we grow old and happy together. All I want is to be there every step of the way with you." You breathed out hard staring intently into Su's eyes still on a need with her hand in yours. This was it. She'd either take you and you'd be happily ever after, or she'd reject you and you'd become a heartbroken woman and leave to the fire nation. I mean, at least its warm there, the North and South water tribes were cold and you weren't exactly a monk...
"I-i, I don't know what to say." Su says a little speechless while looking from you to her family and friends.
"Oh spirits, it's not going to get better than this, you say yes Suyin Beifong. She's promised to leave me alone if you say yes, and if I ever visit she'd let me kick her ass in bending." Toph screamed throwing her hands in the air.
"Please say yes. She's been bugging me for weeks about how to ask you out." Lin says flatly, while raising her eyebrow. Su looks back to you and just stares.
"Mom. We all love her. Just say yes, we know you like her too." Opal says softly giving her mother a little nod of approval. You continued to be on a perched knee while looking at Su intently.
"What do you say Suyin Beifong? Will you let me take you out on a date?"
"I, there's so much to do. The train station-"
"-has been taken care of. The bank has a 2 week extension penalty free, and the men are working round the clock without extra pay because their company guaranteed it would be done by today or else you get your money back, and the guards are helping with the production line to go over more smoothly. You haven't slept a proper day in months. I have everything taken care of, and a perfect spa day planned for you, followed with a bottle of the best wine I could find." You continue as you search her eyes.
"H-how did you do all of this?" Su asked eyes wide at the station being finished today.
"When I want something, I make sure it gets done." You say with a slight smirk and wink. Su flushes deep red and shakes her head. She pulls your hand up and hugs you tightly, you instantly returning.
You pull back and look at her, "so does this mean yes?"
"Yes." Su says while bringing you in for a kiss and wrapping her arms around your neck and you brought her even closer, deepening the kiss and smiling into it, while everyone else shouted and the music started up again.
"Baby, you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed. But when you smile at the ground, it ain't hard to tell that you don't know, you don't know that you're beautiful!" (x2)
You finished singing and lifted Su up and spinning her around as she laughed and kissed you again, sweetly and just shook her head and smiled at you, resting her forehead against yours.
"You really are beautiful Suyin, and spirits am I in love with you."

Flying rocks and kisses
Trying to gain inspiration through power outages, and got prompted for a Suyin request, which I’m actually pretty excited about, gives me a bit of a challenge now. Since they didn’t choose which prompt, I’ll start with 3, and I’ll just play around with a few different people. While, I’m a le $ bean, I’m open to also writing for my boys- so you can request anyone, not just the lovely ladies of ALTA and LOK (but lets be real, they’re the important ones and deserve more love). Here goes nothing, let me know what you think, and hope you enjoy!!
Prompt #3: “Shit, watch out!” She screamed as a large boulder was flying at her crush at an extremely fast pace, fast enough all she could do was jump in front of it, and prepare for the sudden pain.
Word count: 2,973
Requestor: @Helplesslesbean
—-
Having grown up in the lovely city of Zafou for all my life, and following the guards around the city has made me grown accustomed to all the ins and outs of the city and especially the large mansion which resides my personal favorite human, Suyin Beifong. Granted yes, she is the same age as my parents, and I should definitely not be major crushing on her, but I mean
How can you not? Look at her, she’s the fiercest woman I know and would do anything for her family and she made this entire city from nothing, and she’s a Beifong! Her mother literally invented metal bending, which is our entire city. She also started a dance troupe and has worked countless of tiresome hours to perfect her dancers for their plays. I go to every performance and practice.
Speaking of the lovely, perfectionist of a woman, I sat outside helping Kuvira, Suyin’s adoptive daughter practice her dance routine since I’m always at the practices, Kuvira has me help her practice, because like mother, like daughter, she’s also a perfectionist. Something about being abandoned as a child
As we were going over how to jump from the bottom to the top to interlock her ankle with Lucy’s, Su walked up and instantly I started getting nervous, and Kuvira knows my little secret, but finds it weird and childish. Which is probably is, but I ignore her, and keep my little crush on the matriarch to myself.
“Aww, wonderfully done Kuvira and (y/n)!! That was performed beautifully! I should create a routine without metal bending, so you can participate (y/n)! You’d be such a lovely dancer, might even steal the show!” Su exclaimed in joy while walking up to the two of us, with my pale complexion becoming as red at the Fire Nation.
“It could’ve been better. Again.” Kuvira said while getting back to the starting position. I just sighed, we’ve been going at this all morning. Usually Su would come by earlier on to watch the practice, but with the Avatar being in town, she’s been preoccupied , which works out for you, since every time she watches you, you get nervous and mess up, and especially when Kuvira trains with you, that usually has you ending on your ass, with a lot of bruises. Kuvira isn’t easy-going, and will use your crush on Su to her full advantage.
“Oh, Kuvira, you need to learn to take a break, it looks like (y/n) could use one, here have some water.” Su said while pushing Kuvira back down with a water bottle that she brought up. She then handed me one, and I quickly grabbed it, trying to ignore the slight spark of electricity that went off between our fingers when the brushed each other, and quickly downed half the bottle in one go.
“Wow, you must be thirsty (y/n), I can get you another if you’d like.” Su said, which made you choke on the second half of the bottle, and had you sputtering out that you were okay. Kuvira just scoffed and pushed Su out of the way to go over the form again, she didn’t think it was strong enough. You got back up and started to practice again, ignoring Su’s lingering eyes on you. You kept up with the routine, and eventually Su had to attend to some other things around the city.
—-
After you finished up, you got cleaned up and ready for bed.You were brushing your teeth when you heard a knock on the door. Confused because Kuvira has a strict sleep schedule that is not to be interupted, and that even means as soon as it’s after dinner, you never hear from her. You finished wiping your mouth and opened your door. Standing there was Su in her long, luxurious emerald green gown with her metal plates and you could smell her fresh perfume she always wore to bed and light green slippers.
“Su? How can I help you?” You ask, while trying to keep your blush down, or at least not blistering red. You were also trying to ignore the fact that while normal people who don’t crush on others twice their age, they also don’t wear just a large t shirt to bed, with NOTHING underneath.
“(Y/N), I just wanted to check in with you about a few things, do you mind if I come in?” Su asks. You let her in, but try to ignore that her perfume has you leaning in closer and wishing you could just curl up in bed with her forever.
As Su walks in, she slightly brushes you with your arm, and the hair on your arm stands up as you clear your throat and close the door behind her. You follow Su into the room as she sits on your bed and you awkwardly stand there. You just look down at the floor, and wait for her to speak. She just sits there and stares at you, and you’re quite confused what she’s looking at, and why she isn’t talking yet.
“Are you not going to sit?” Su asks. You shuffle and sit next to her, but trying to keep some space between you, for your benefit so you won’t do anything too stupid. This crossed Su’s mind, and she completely ignored it and scooted closer to you and rested her hands on your forearm and knee, which prompted you to swallow loudly, as you tried to ignore your pounding heart.
“I’ve talked with Kuvira before, and she always says how great you are at talking things through, and I have some concerns.” She starts with, causing you to die a little inside, thinking she knows your little secret. “With my sister being here, and being so resentful against me and my family, I don’t know what to do or say, and my husband is well
we’re not how we used to be, and I feel like you’d have good insight.”
“Uhhh yeah. Um. You’re not?” I squeaked out, not really sure to answer that. She’s not how she used to be with her husband? But they always seemed to be the perfect duo. How is she not doing well with him? Are they splitting up? What happened? Okay (y/n), focus. She’s starting at you. I need to concentrate on what she’s saying. I hear her speaking, but nothing is coming to my ears, I’m just staring at her perfect lips, and wow. They’re so kissable. I wish I could, just

“(Y/N) are you okay? You seem out of it. I knew this would be too much, just forget I said anything, and have yourself a goodnight.” Su rushed out as she got up to leave. I didn’t know what to do, because now she thinks it’s her fault. I did the only logical thing to do. I grabbed her retreating hand and yanked her back down to me and before she could question anything, I grabbed her face pulled it closer and slammed my lips on her lips. I instantly wrapped my hands into her hair pulling her closer and enjoying this moment.
She was completely frozen. That’s when the panic started, and I soon realized this was not where she was going with this, and I’m an idiot. Just when I started to pull back, there was a loud bang that shook the mansion, cause me to fall to the floor and Su to stand up immediately. Horrible timing, but I could always just stare at her from this angle. Any angle to be honest. Thats when another loud bang shook the walls, and before I could get up, Su grabbed my hands to lift me up, surprisingly quickly and strong.
“I need to investigate, stay here (y/n).” Su said eyes piercing through mine.
“But I-“
“I mean it, don’t leave your room in any circumstance until I come get you.” Su said, then looked at my lips, gave me a quick peck on the cheek instead, and ran out of the room, metal bending the door behind her so I couldn’t get out. Damn metal benders. Though, joke is on her, because Kuvira used to lock me in my room all the time for dinner as a joke. I carved out some hollowed areas to crawl through that gives me outdoor access through the vents. Granted this was 10 years ago, when I was much smaller, but will have to do in a pinch. I wiggled through and I don’t know if its all the training I’ve done with Kuvira to stay toned and made this a piece of cake, or all the sweat I’ve gathered from thinking about the kiss I just shared with Su. Of course she didn’t want to kiss me, I’m her adoptive daughter’s friend, why would she me as anything else? Welp, time to move out I suppose. You know, Fire nation looks lovely this time of year. Another loud bang followed by shouting was heard, and I got back to focus and busted the vent and crawled out.
When I got up, I see about 20 guards, Su and her twins, team avatar, and Lin. I can’t specifically spot out Kuvira, but I’m sure she’s somewhere amongst the guards. Who I can’t find oddly is the avatar. Isn’t this her thing? Investigation loud bangs? Then I spotted it. The giant metal plates in the center of.. lava? Well that’s new. Some buff, bald man had the knocked out avatar over his shoulder, and everyone was firing metal at him. But some of the guards were fighting a woman with water arms, and a guy who was lavabending?! Who are these people?! My training with Kuvira kicked in, and while I don’t have some super fancy bending like these people, or really any bending, I know how to throw a punch and dodge cheap shots that Kuvira loves to throw at me.
I run into the action and I spot Kuvira bending her plates at the lady with water arms, but miserably failing. I run up to her and push her behind a pillar.
“(Y/N)! You can’t be out here, these aren’t normal people. Go call back up!” Kuvira shouted while protecting you from an explosion near by.
“Idiot, I’ve trained with you, I can help. But you’re such and earth bender. You’re only thinking within the box of fighting. These obviously aren’t normal people. You need to outsmart them, not out bend them.” You shout over all the commotion and duck your head into Kuvira’s arms while splinters of metal go flying a little too close to your face. Kuvira puts up a shield next to you to protect you, and you continue on you theory. “If you can distract the water bending with set up 12-4, then I jump off your back and go and electrocute her. Water hates electricity.” You shout over the loud bangs.
“That could work, but if you get injured, Su will kill me.” Kuvira shouts, while contemplating.
“That’s okay, I think she already wants to kill me now. I kissed her earlier.” You shout/whisper to Kuvira. She just stares at you with large eyes, and punches your arm. You just shake your head and nod to her. Kuvira get the guards to line up in 12-4, a common move they do to surprise an attacker, with surrounding forces, and my added presence should hopefully hit it home. I waited for the right moment and then when I saw Kuvira was ready and water lady spun around I ran and jumped on Kuvira’s back and she launched me into the air, and thankful for all her dance routines, I flipped next to water arms lady and with the baton fully charged with electricity, I went to electrocute her to take her out, and it was going perfect, except we didn’t account for mr. lavabender to have heart eyes for her, and jump in, and shoot the ground from underneath me, and shoot me into the air, and given it was unpredicted, I was flying far, and crashed into Lin. And man, if I thought Su was strong, her older sister is earth itself, and pure muscle. I groaned from the not so soft landing. I think the ground would’ve been a better landing than Lin.
“Watch it kid. This isn’t a circus.” She grunts roughly and tosses you aside. Ahh, so now you see the resentment Su was talking about from earlier. You roll off and sit up brushing the dirt off you. That didn’t go as planned. Before you could think of another suggestion, you looked up and saw Su fighting with her twins and you see combustion bender (how did I miss her earlier?!) Directly aim for a rock pile near by Su, to throw all of them at her at once, so she couldn’t dodge it, and before you knew what to do, your body was running full speed at Su, screaming, “Shit, watch out!” as a large boulder was flying at her crush at an extremely fast pace, fast enough all she could do was jump in front of it, and prepare for the sudden pain.
You know those moments when everything slows down, and you just embrace what is happening, but it gives you a chance to look around? This was one of those moments, and you thought you were toast. For sure, going to be flattened out into nothing. Though while you looked around, you see guards running all over, team avatar helping Lin get the avatar, and the twins under the protection of their mother, who is shielding her body to protect them, and staring at you. You feel the wind of the the boulder about to hit you, and you ready yourself for the impact
. That never comes? You look in front of you to see all the boulders that were flying towards you at full speed are now hitting the combustion lady and Lin escaped with the avatar. What really surprised you was the air being blasted from your hands. I’m an airbender?????
Then the bald man took his staff and the other 3 talented benders into a gust of wind and they were gone. Okay, if I am an airbender, I need to learn that trick. You look back to see if Su is okay, but are instead greeted with arms instantly wrapping around you and the intoxicating smell of Su’s perfume and a bit of mix of burnt earth
You awkwardly return her hug and bury your face into her shoulder, even though she is about an inch or two shorter than I am.
“You idiot, I told you to stay put! And why would you jump in front of those boulders? I’m an earth bender, I can handle it!” Su screams at you, and you wince.
“Yeah, but I couldn’t see you get hurt, and that was a lot. Even the best of us need help sometimes.” You say as you rub the back of your neck. She just shakes her head at you and brings you in closer.
—-
After all the crazy moments and discovering the bald man named Zaheer, had all the airbenders, team avatar went after him, and though you wanted to join in on the fight, Su asked you to stay, and while you do love her, you aren’t sure if you can.
She pulled you aside after the meeting into a small room that was almost never used. “(y/n), I can’t have you in danger again, especially now that you’re an airbender, you’re a bigger target for Zaheer. Please don’t go. I can’t have you getting hurt.” Su says quietly while holding your hand and searching your eyes. You really struggled, you wanted to say okay to make her feel better and happy, but you had to help.
“Su, I-“
She stopped me by kissing me on the lips, and I think I just died
Is this the spirit world? Sparks shout out from my closed eyelids, and I pulled her in closer to my body as if this was a dream I was hoping to never awake from. Eventually we both pulled away for air, and searched each others eyes while resting our foreheads together. I eventually spoke up, “okay
 I’ll stay back.”
Su visibly sighed and relaxed against my body, and I held her tight and kissed the top of her forehead. I’m not comfortable with the idea of her going out alone, but I heard Kuvira can’t go, and someone needs to stay back to keep her from taking over the kingdom.
—-
I hope you all enjoyed this, and sorry it went so long!! I just ramble a lot in my head, and it kinda comes out as word vomit, and this is what you get
Please leave a like and comment for support!!
Also side side note: I know you choose #6, but I wanted to switch it up!!

Glasses
Fandom: Legend of Korra
Ship: Kuvira x reader
Request: No
Prompt: No
A/N: I love this idea so much and we need more art of Kuvira with glasses. So soft, I love it.
Summary: You’ve been married for almost ten years. Kuvira’s become the matriarch of Zaofu since then, not that she believed she deserved it. You two are happy. Kuvira keeps up with her dancing and training as always, but she seems to be off. You worry that there’s something wrong and eventually convince her to go to the doctor. When the doctor says that she just needs glasses you’re both relieved. It takes a few weeks for her to wear them more often, but you love them so much. You make sure to tell her how beautiful she looks with them.
Tumblr media
You sit outside reading a book while Kuvira trains. You keep telling her that she doesn’t need to do that anymore. She has the guards of Zaofu to protect everyone. But she refuses to go out of practice. The thought that she was still being overprotective was always in your mind, not that you hated that side of her anyway. It was nice to be reminded how much she loved you.
You were always sure to remind her of how much you loved her. No matter how many times she would shrug it off. It’s taken years for her to get over what she did with the Earth Empire and you were there for her every step. No matter how hard it got or how hopeless it seemed.
You looked up from your book to watch your wife practicing her accuracy. She strives for perfection in all things and you had to be there to tell her that she didn’t have to be perfect. This one skill she was always perfect at. And now that she was older she’s seen it get worse. She hides it from you the best she can. She doesn’t like when you worry.

Note
hi! could you write something kind of au where the reader is the avatar, and during the battle of zaofu she and kuvira are flirting with/teasing each other to the point they’re not even fighting by the end anymore?
Tease
Fandom: Legend of Korra
Ship: Kuvira x Avatar!Reader
Request: YES
Prompt: ^^^^
A/N: Thank you for being the first request. You have no idea how excited this makes me. You will forever hold a spot in my writing heart. I hope this is some of what you were looking for. I got excited and didn’t want to wait for my brain to be fully functioning with ideas.
Summary: You confront Kuvira after Suyin tries to assassinate her. She challenges you to battle for Zaofu. Being as stubborn as you are, you accept, knowing full well you’re still recovering from Zaheer. You two are evenly matched for a while until you hear her make a snarky remark. You two begin teasing back and forth as you fight.
“Avatar Y/N, you are interfering with internal Earth Empire business, and letting your personal feelings get in the way of reason. Zaofu cannot continue to rule itself. They have been hoarding their riches and technology too long. I'm here to distribute those resources fairly throughout the nation. This is about equality.” Kuvira calls out as you stand across from her. Her army is behind her, ready to attack if need be.
“You don't care about equality! This is about control!” Opal yells from her spot beside you. You both turn to each other and she speaks again. “Just take her down! You know it's the right thing to do! You have to stop this!”
“The only way you're going to keep me from marching into Zaofu is if you physically stop me. Now what are you going to do?” There is a hint of arrogance in her tone. This Kuvira was different from the one you met in Zaofu three years ago. That Kuvira was the captain of the guard and had to follow Su’s orders. Now she was free, although you knew she was taking things too far.
“It looks like you're not giving me a choice.” You step forward, separating yourself from Opal and Jinora.
“Fine.” Kuvira turns to address her troops. “I want you all to know that I would never ask any of you to do something that I'm not willing to do myself. So, rather than risk your lives, I will fight the Avatar one-on-one.” She turns to face you again. “Y/N, if you win, then you can do whatever you want with Zaofu. But after I beat you, I want you out of my business for good. I'm the one who brought peace to the Earth Empire, not you. You're not relevant here anymore.”
“Fine. You wanna fight the Avatar? Then let's finish this, right here, right now.” You roll your shoulders. Now you sounded like the arrogant one.
“Are you really ready to fight her?” Jinora asks you.
“Just stay back and let me handle this. It's been a while, but I got a lot of pent-up rage.” Yes, you were very arrogant. You also had a lot of steam to let out.
“Don't mess around! Kuvira is too good! Just go into the Avatar State and get it over with!” Opal’s resentment towards Kuvira was clearly evident.
“No, I'm only going to use that as a last resort,” you told her. You wanted to win this fight fair and square. To show Kuvira you could still stand up for yourself and the world.
“Use whatever you want: all the elements; the Avatar State; anything you need,” she smirks as she takes up her own battle stance. “I know you're a little rusty.”
“Enough talk!” You yell at her. There would be plenty more talk.
You send two boulders at her first, using them as cover to come at her from above. She anticipated this and moved to the side, rather than backward as you wanted. She took a shot at your exposed side with her own boulder. It hits you in the gut and changes your path to the ground. You barely land and have to catch your breath.
“Looks like the Avatar’s a little off her game!” You hear her chuckle and spirits it had been a long time since you heard anyone laugh. This still makes you frustrated that she thinks it’s so easy.
You send another boulder her way, which is easily dodged. Now that you are upright you send two blasts of air at her. You get closer with each attack, having Kuvira on the defensive with how fast you were going.
You swipe the earth under her feet, standing only a few feet in front of her. Now it was your turn to laugh. You weren’t as rusty as you or she thought. Maybe you did have a chance at winning.
“Now look who’s off their game,” you sneered at her. Kuvira did not like you teasing her with her own words.
She sends two metal strips on your wrists as an answer, forcing you to fall with your arms behind your back. This allows her to get up and dust her uniform off.
You send a large gust of wind at her using your feet. This knocks her back again and releases your wrists from the metal. You rub your wrists from the familiar feeling, holding back the remaining flashbacks from Zaheer’s torture.
“Don’t like being restrained?” Kuvira asks jokingly as she gets up again. Her hair is starting to become undone. She doesn’t pay too much attention to the loose strands.
“I’d like to see you try it some time,” you called back at her. Your remark was mostly meant to help your bruised ego, but when you saw Kuvira’s face go red you knew you hit a nerve.
She snaps out of whatever thoughts grip her mind and send more metal strips at you. They aren’t as precise as the other two, but they’re still on target. You still have to either dodge or deflect them to avoid being restrained again. These little discrepancies would go unnoticed by anyone else, but you knew that Kuvira aimed for perfection. Clearly, something was distracting her.
You two traded blows for a long time, her with her metal or earth and you with mostly air and fire. You figured out earth bending wouldn’t be much use against someone as skilled as her. These blows you each traded were either dodged or deflected. The fight was about evenly matched now.
“Are you holding back? Or are you just too scared to use the Avatar state?” Kuvira took a low blow at your ego and trauma. She knew what Zaheer had done to you, that you had been struggling since then. That was her point though. Get you riled up so you make a mistake.
And you made a mistake.
You often used earth as your anger element. Most people would have assumed fire, but earth was much more willing to cooperate with your anger. And so it did that very well.
In your rage, if you would call it that, you created a fissure in the ground, going from where you stood to where Kuvira stood. The earth was great at conveying your emotions. Your reaction caught Kuvira off guard, again. She did not expect such anger, or this amount of power to come from it.
The fissure cracking caused Kuvira to stumble and you sent a boulder in her side, knocking her down to the ground. She was dazed. Trying to get up was much harder than before.
The gasps from everyone were heard. Kuvira’s soldiers were shocked at how much power you showed without the Avatar state. Jinora and Opal were surprised at how many times you had knocked Kuvira down at this point.
You sprinted over to her before she got up, grabbing her by her collar in her dazed state. Turning her head to face you, you saw your own face with eyes glowing rather than Kuvira’s face. You threw her back as a reaction, terrified that she would trample all over you at this point.
Kuvira had expected another smart ass response from you and when she didn’t get one she knew something was different. The way you looked at her with fear and emptiness made her wonder what you saw. She could guess it had something to do with Zaheer, but there were so many faces you could have seen.
“So you are scared?” she chuckled as she got up.
“The Avatar, afraid of her own shadow!” Kuvira yelled for all to hear. Her soldiers cheered and laughed. Opal and Jinora glared at Kuvira.
“Don’t make me put you in your place, Kuvira!” You yelled back, trying to push the growing fear and doubt in your mind.
“I’d like to see you try,” She smirked. She began her onslaught of metal and earth again, immediately putting you on defense.
As she continued to attack, you continued to back up. There was no other way for you to go. If you moved to the side you would get a boulder thrown at you to keep you in line. Kuvira was practically ordering you to keep going backward. Her attacks were precise once again, which allowed her a wider range of movement.
You had heard the boulders you manage to dodge hit the large group of rocks behind you. You didn’t expect to be pushed against them so soon. But you were and shortly after that four metal strips restrained you to said rock. You were in a vulnerable position and under Kuvira’s will.
She stared you straight in the eyes, holding a strip of metal next to her head. You knew what she was going to do with it, so you waited. But Kuvira hesitated.
“Oh don’t get all attached to me now, Vira,” you tried to hold a smile. You really were still terrified, but what was one more tease going to do?
She grabs you by the collar and leans in to whisper in your ear. “I don’t know, Avatar. I’m not so sure I’m the only one getting attached.” A chill was sent down your spine.
“Surrender Avatar!” Kuvira backs up, ignoring what just happened between the two of you. You knew what she would do if you said no. But it was your job to stop her from taking Zaofu.
“N-” You were cut off when Kuvira was sent flying. Once she was out of your way you saw that Opal was the one to move her.
“Opal!” you yelled. You still pull yourself from your restraints and look over at Kuvira. She was lying on the ground unconscious and bleeding.
“Shit!” you cursed. You wouldn’t have put it past Opal to have done this on purpose.
You ran over to her body and looked for where the blood was coming from. There was a gash above her right eye that would surely leave a scar if not healed by water. Sadly you had no water.
“Get a medic over here!” you yelled out. Opal and Jinora hadn’t come over to help you. Why would they? Kuvira’s the bad guy.
You saw a soldier and, who you assumed to be, the medic run over. The medic was carrying a bag in his hand. You adjusted Kuvira so she was laying on you, allowing the medic to work on the wound.
“I need to take her back to our camp, Avatar,” the medic told you. Under normal circumstances, like Kuvira losing the fight fairly you would have said no.
“Take her.” You moved so the shoulder could take her from you.
You stood up and walked away, not looking at Opal or Jinora. Zaofu would be free for a little while longer. If only Kuvira hadn’t been such a tease things would have been different.

Kuvira x reader au where she gets a cat please. I'm a shameless obsesser. Of both.
Jinx
Fandom: Legend of Korra
Ship: Kuvira x reader
Request: Yes
Prompt: ^^^^
A/N: I absolutely love this idea so much. My heart can’t handle all the adorable thoughts that come to mind. You are a genius Anon. Thank you for giving me this gift of a story to write.
There you two were, in the animal shelter, picking out a pet. After almost three months of convincing, Kuvira finally gave in and said yes. She saw how you missed the cats from your parents since you two had moved in together. Getting one wouldn’t be so bad she thought. It would mostly spend its time with you, you had promised to take care of it, so there was no reason for it to ever really bother her at home.
You were weaving your way around little kids whose parents had brought them to also get a pet. Most of them were looking at dogs anyway. Not that you didn’t like dogs, but you couldn’t exactly have one in an apartment.
When you got to the cats your eyes lit up. There were so many, and if it were up to you then you would take them all. But you promised Kuvira only one cat, for now.
You read each paper of every cat you walked by, looking for one that you knew would be perfect for the two of you. You knew if Kuvira would ever have gotten a pet by herself that it would have been a cat. Graceful and nimble, just like her. Also affectionate.
You probably spent a little too much time looking at each and every cat because a volunteer walked up to you.
“Looking for anything in particular?” he asked. You looked away from the cat that you were reading about.
“Kind of? I guess one that can handle being by itself, but also will be able to handle other cats in the future,” you shrugged. You felt Kuvira glare at you, but not in an angry way. It would be a long time before she thought about getting another cat.
“You should look at some of the younger cats then. Most of those are rescued from kitten mills or found abandoned at the sides of roads. They usually come in groups, but the cats seem to do fine on their own as well.” He talked as he directed you to the section of younger cats. You noticed now that some of them were pens together. The older cats were always by themselves.
The little meows of the younger cats tugged at your heart. The age differences were fairly big, there were old cats and cats who probably should still be with their mother. Your eyes landed on one of the pens in the back. You learned from your years of adopting cats that they put the ones that were less likely to be adopted there.
In one of those pens sat a small black kitten, maybe six months old. You looked at the papers, seeing the kitten didn’t even have a name. At this point your mind was made up. You knew the poor thing would be here for the rest of her life if you didn’t take her. Black cats were almost never adopted.
“This one.” you pointed at the kitten. She walked up to you since you had gotten there and attempted to sniff your hand.
“Are you sure?” Kuvira asked.
“I’m sure.” You looked up at Kuvira. She wasn’t going to second guess you again.
Kuvira had been over your parent's house plenty of times before you moved in with her to know that you liked all kinds of cats. Your parents currently had four cats. Two of them were Calicos, being brother and sister. One was a Maine Coon, who was the ‘mom’ of the group. The last one was a black cat, who was basically yours since he spent most of his time with you. Kuvira should have known that because of which cat you spent the most time with that you would choose one that looks like him.
“I’ll get the papers then. Another volunteer will get a carrier ready for her so you can take her home.” The volunteer walked off. You knew to meet him back at the front desk, as this was the same shelter your parents got the two Calicos at. Kuvira followed along, occasionally looking at some of the cats herself. This made you smile a little knowing she wasn’t completely disinterested in the idea of a cat.
You two waited a few minutes for the volunteer to come with the adoption papers. You smiled as you saw the excited kids leaving with their new companions. It was the best feeling in the world, to get a new friend who would love you just as much as you loved them. Even if they would be gone long before you would be.
“Just sign on the marked lines, pay the fee and you’re good to go!” The volunteer handed you a pen so you could sign the papers. In your opinion, you didn’t like the fact that you had to pay to adopt an animal, but you knew it was how the shelters stayed running. If it were up to you, you would have the government put funding into the shelters so they could afford to not have fees for adoption.
“Perfect,” the man smiled. “I’m glad she’s getting a home. She was the last one from her litter left,” he explained. It hurt your heart that whoever had adopted her siblings decided to leave her there on her own.
Another volunteer came out with the kitten in a carrier. You could see she was scared, but you knew that most cats were scared during and right after adoption. Kuvira was the one who took the carries from the volunteer, careful to keep it as steady as possible. You had never seen Kuvira so attentive to each and every movement she made. It was different from her dancing, even though the basic idea of precise movement was the same.
When you two finally got back to your apartment you were so giddy to let the cat out. Kuvira adored this side of you, so happy and excited, even if she wouldn’t say it out loud. Not that you hadn’t been happy since you moved in together, this was a happiness that was beyond that. It made Kuvira a little jealous.
Kuvira gently placed the carrier down on the floor in the living room. You were already sitting on the floor, having done this situation plenty of times. You motioned for Kuvira to sit next to you, which she thought was ridiculous. She wasn’t going to spend much time with the cat so what was the point of her joining you. The look you gave her made her give in, but only to make you happy.
Kuvira opened the cage with her metal bending and you two waited patiently for the cat to come out. She walked out of the carrier slowly, eyeing her surroundings for anything dangerous. Once she saw nothing except for you and Kuvira she finally came out of the carrier. Apparently, the small time of interaction with her at the shelter made an impact. She walked over to the both of you with caution.
You were the first to reach your hand out. You placed it on the floor, to make yourself seem less threatening. The cat stood still at first before coming up to sniff your hand. She didn’t have any problems with you so now it was Kuvira’s turn.
You grabbed Kuvira’s arm and placed it down on the floor like yours had been. You can tell how tense she is. She never did this with the other cats, them being adults and all. They just looked at her and didn’t really mind whenever she came over to your parent's house.
“Just relax,” you chuckled. You telling her to relax seemed to work a little, but she was still nervous.
The cat moved over to sniff Kuvira’s hand. It took its time, longer than it had with you, and that worried Kuvira. If the cat didn’t like her how would that make you feel? She at least wanted the cat to be fine with her.
When the cat rubbed her head against Kuvira’s hand you both were in shock. You put your hands in front of your face and you couldn’t stop grinning. Kuvira was frozen with the cat still rubbing her head on Kuvira’s hand. You thought this moment was ironic and perfect. The cat meowing at Kuvira just made it even better.
“She wants you to pet her,” you said, still grinning from ear to ear.
Kuvira moved her hand so she could pet the cat. She was still hesitant even though the cat clearly liked her. She had never been known as a fragile or soft person and this cat was exactly that.  When she finally started petting it, that little bit of fear went away.
“Have you thought of a name?” Kuvira asked while petting the cat.
“I was thinking Jinx,” you smiled.
Kuvira raised an eyebrow at you. The name was cliche but you loved it anyway. Kuvira didn’t really care what you named the cat. It was more yours than it was hers anyway.
As the weeks went on you spent more time bonding with Jinx. She finally warmed up to you and loved playing with you when you had the time. Working from home really helped the bond. She often curled up next to you or even on you while you were working. Those were the moments you missed from home.
What was even better, in your opinion, was that whenever Kuvira was home Jinx would follow her everywhere. Sometimes it got on Kuvira’s nerves, especially when she would turn around and almost trip over Jinx. You always thought it was the cutest thing in the world. You eventually decided to get Jinx a collar with a small bell, so Kuvira could hear whenever the cat was behind her. She never outright thanked you for that, because that would mean telling you the cat was annoying her.
Weeks turned into months and Kuvira finally took some time off of work. You were grateful that you could spend more time with your girlfriend now. Spending time with Jinx was nice and all, but being with Kuvira was nicer.
Because of her time off Kuvira started to do more things around the apartment. One of your favorites was when she would make dinner for the two of you. She had picked up a few things from the chef back when she lived with Su. You didn’t expect her to be a good cook because you knew all of Su’s kids were horrible at it.
One particular night, when she was cleaning up after you two had finished, Jinx was sitting patiently next to her in the kitchen. Kuvira hadn’t seen her do this before so she was slightly confused. You looked over from your spot on the couch and laughed.
“What?” Kuvira asked.
“She wants a piece of the chicken,” you told her.
“I’m not giving her a piece. She’ll learn to expect it every time we have it.” Kuvira looked over at you. You had a sheepish grin on your face, telling her why Jinx was sitting there so patiently.
“You’ve been giving her some before haven’t you?” She asked.
“Maybe.” You looked away. You had given her a few pieces every once and a while either when you were putting the leftovers away or giving Jinx her own dinner.
“Look at her, sitting so nicely. How can you deny that face?” you pouted. You heard Kuvira sigh and knew she gave in.
“Fine. But stop doing it so often.” Kuvira pointed at you with the knife she was using to cut up the remaining chicken.
“I can make no promises,” you smiled. You would try, but as you said, who could deny that face.
When Kuvira finished in the kitchen she joined you on the couch. You sat there with Kuvira’s arms wrapped around your waist. You loved it when she got time off of work. She loved it more than you did because sometimes work got to be too much. Coming home to you was the best part of her day. With the addition of Jinx in the house, she had become more accustomed to the cat coming up to greet her whenever she got home.
Jinx had hopped up on the couch while you two were snuggling and decided to climb on Kuvira’s lap. You heard her sigh, but she refused to move from her position. You looked down at Jinx, who had now curled up on Kuvira’s lap, and smiled.
“Y’know, she really likes you. Like more than she likes me,” you explained.
“How, she’s your cat. I’m also not home as often as you are,” Kuvira argued.
“I think that’s why. She doesn’t see you as often so she misses you. Plus she warmed up to you way faster than she did with me.” You knew more about cat behavior than she did. You also knew more about how people dealt with cat behavior more than she did.
“Pretty sure you like her more than you’re willing to admit,” you smiled.
“I tolerate her,” Kuvira mumbled.
“Which is why you’re letting her sleep on your lap and why you let her sleep on your side of the bed?” you smirked.
“She’s not as bad as I thought she would have been,” Kuvira admits. That’s what you were looking for.
“Well, I’m glad you like her.” You moved your hand to pet Jinx’s head. She meowed and stretched out across Kuvira’s lap. You heard Kuvira sigh, but that didn’t stop you from petting Jinx.
Kuvira eventually moved from holding you to sit up carefully, so as to keep the cat where she was. When she was done with that she gently picked up Jinx and held her in her arms. Jinx began to purr even though Kuvira wasn’t even petting her.
That image will forever be in your mind. It was perfect in every way. This is what home means to you.

what was kuvira and y/n’s wedding like?
Wedding

Prompt: No
Word Count: 5,477
A/N: Anon you are fueling the fluff train. Keep the ideas coming. Did I combine the cat au with this one, absolutely. It makes it so much better. You’re in for a treat my friend.
Summary: You’re finally getting married. After everything that’s happened to Kuvira she still can’t believe it. But here she is planning the wedding, with Su no less. She wants it to be perfect. The day of the wedding is stressful for you both. It feels like anything could go wrong but it doesn’t. You two are finally together.
No one would have expected Kuvira to be the one planning the wedding. Everyone knew you had the mind for these things. After all, you were a designer. But when Kuvira told you she wanted to do this you let her. You also knew that Su wanted to help, so you stayed out of her way.
Kuvira didn’t keep you out of the loop though. She knew you were curious, but you always had to ask her to show you. She felt like you would always tell her to pick something else. But you didn’t. You liked what she chose, it fit both of you so well. You had to admit you did underestimate Kuvira’s ability to plan the wedding. Su must have helped a lot, but you wouldn’t sell Kuvira short.
You were in charge of the invites. You knew that you were going to invite most of your family, which Kuvira was fine with. You had a few friends you wanted to invite that made her nervous, but you made sure she had no need to worry.  The only people Kuvira invited were the Beifongs. It did surprise you, especially since Jr. was on the list. You knew she had worked things out with him, but you still disliked him.
When you had finished all the invites there were around fifty. You felt kind of bad for how big your family was. You weren’t sure how they would handle Kuvira, or how she would handle them. You had hope that it would be fine, but you could never know.
You were so glad to be done for the day. Planning a wedding was way more stressful than your family made it out to be. You didn’t have all of them to help, so that was probably why. But you knew they would have overwhelmed you.
You heard the door open and leaned over to see it was Kuvira. Almost immediately after Jinx hopped off of the couch to greet her. You smile when you can hear her saying something to the cat before she picks Jinx up.
“I hope she’s not the only one who missed me,” Kuvira smiled. She walked over to you and leaned over to give you a kiss.
“Of course not. Any time without you is too long.” You got up from the desk so you could finally relax.
“I brought some things home for dinner,” Kuvira told you as you gathered all the invitations together.
“What did you get tonight?” you asked curiously. You left the invitations on the table, or else they would get lost.
“I got some crab to make crab puffs. I can make some soup to go with it too,” she told you.
“Where in spirit name did you get crab this time of year?” You came into the kitchen.
“Oh, you know, a certain village that has the best crab fishers in the world.” She was referring to your home town. She wasn’t wrong though.
“You spoil me,” you teased. “Do you even know how to make crab puffs? I’ve never seen you try.”
“Actually, I don’t. I was hoping you’d be willing to help me make dinner tonight?” she asked. It was so sincere and you couldn’t help but smile.
“Of course I would.” You give her a quick kiss before helping her get everything ready.
It had been a few years since you had made crab puffs. The last time was before you left home to join Kuvira to unite the Earth Kingdom. Your family never fully understood why you left and you never had the proper opportunity to tell them why. It’s not that you didn’t love them, but they were always so overwhelming to you. Even without siblings, you had all these cousins running around and dragging you everywhere.
You knew now with your own space you’ve grown into your own person. You’re more outgoing and there are no more days where you mentally and physically exhausted unless you’re sick. Kuvira would be lying if she said she didn’t notice how different you were from when you two first met. She wouldn’t change it for the world though.
You both moved in sync with each other, grabbing what you needed from either the cabinets or each other. You got the saucepan and poured some oil in it. You turn on the burner and place the pan down to let the oil heat up. You move to the counter and you gather the crab meat, cream cheese, and whatever spices you decide to add it. You made the decision to add some Cayenne Pepper powder, which is what your family liked to use instead of garlic. It sounds weird to anyone outside your family, but you all loved it. You wondered if it would be a surprise to Kuvira.
While you were making the crab mixture Kuvira was busy cutting up some vegetables and leftover meat for whatever soup she was making. You’d had so many over the five years you had been living together that you learned to expect something different every night.
“Which one are you making this time?” You didn’t need to turn to ask her.
“Just a simple Miso soup,” she answered. You knew that Miso soup was never simple in her eyes. With all the extravagant meals the chef cooked at the Beifong estate you completely understood why she liked it. It was simple, but also unique to each person who made it. It was never made the same way twice so she never got tired of it.
Once you finished mixing the crab meat you grabbed the wonton wrappers to place the crab meat in. You were glad that Kuvira had grabbed all the correct ingredients. You managed to make twelve of the crab puffs and put them in the oil to cook four at a time. When they were done you plated them and set the plate on the table. You looked over to Kuvira, who was already filling two bowls with soup.
You grabbed a bottle of sake and poured half a glass for both of you. Another thing you learned, Kuvira didn’t have a high alcohol tolerance despite the fact that Su would serve wine to those who could drink it for dinner. It surprised you when you learned she was a lightweight, but that just made things more fun.
She handed you your bowl of soup and a spoon so you can sit down and start eating. She joins you shortly after so you’re together. Most of the time you two eat in silence, you don’t need to talk now. There would be plenty of that after dinner.
“I hope you like them,” you smile when you see Kuvira reach for one of the crab puffs. You decide to leave out the information about the Cayenne pepper, for now. You waited to see her reaction, if she did have one, but she didn’t.
“You added Cayenne pepper didn’t you?” You were honestly shocked.
“How did you know?” you asked.
“I’ve learned my spices from the chef at the estate and I happened to bump into someone who told me it was a good spice to add,” Kuvira told you with a smirk.
“So you’ve met someone in my family then,” you confirmed.
“I guess I did. I suppose you won’t tell me who though.” She raised an eyebrow.
“Even if you did describe them I still probably wouldn’t know. I have way too many cousins to keep them all straight.” You got her to laugh a little.
“It’s true!” you pouted.
“I never said I didn’t believe you,” she laughed more.
You two finished your dinner shortly after. Both of you had finished the crab puffs and you each had more than one bowl of soup. Kuvira stored the remaining soup for another day, whenever you two weren’t together to eat.  She noticed you had left a piece of crab out and knew exactly who it was for.
Jinx was laying down somewhere else in the apartment, but when she heard her food bowl get filled she came trotting into the kitchen. Kuvira placed the piece of crab on top of the food, knowing Jinx would dig it out anyway.
You two cleaned the rest of the kitchen up while Jinx ate. It was nice, even though you never liked cleaning up after a meal. Right now it keeps your mind off of all the wedding thoughts.
When you two finish you both retire to the bedroom, tired after all the day's events. Kuvira more so than you. She’s been walking all day while talking with Su. She beats you sitting and writing invites for the most exhausting task.
You pick up the book from your nightstand and open it to where you had left off. In your absentmindedness, you had begun twirling the metal bookmark in the air. A habit you had to keep yourself distracted from even thinking about what happened during the day. Also something Kuvira has learned over the years. You only realize you’re doing it when you see her grab it from the air and place it back in the book. She knows you weren’t really paying attention to the story anyway.
“What’s bothering you?” her voice is full of concern. She could make an endless list of things that she thought could be wrong and not voice a single one of them.
“My family I guess. Not in a bad way, but I’m worried about what they’ll think of you. They can get to be a lot pretty quickly,” you explained.
“I survived Opal and the twins. I’m sure your family isn’t nearly as bad as them,” Kuvira tried to make you feel better. It works a little, considering all the stories she’s told you of the three of them and the chaos they caused her.
“I just don’t want them to overwhelm you like they do with me,” you worded your frustration differently.
“I’ll be fine. Plus I can always find excuses to go back to you if they do become too much,” she reassured you.
“Y/N I love you. You know that right?” she asked in a more serious tone.
“Of course I do. We wouldn’t be getting married if you didn’t,” you joked.
“Well, then you should know that the way your family is won’t affect anything between us.” She placed her hand on your cheek to turn your head towards her.
“I know
” you sighed. Words were being frustrating at now of all times.
“It’s ok to be worried. You don’t think I am?” She asked.
“I have to deal with Su pestering me over every decision I make, not that it's abnormal for her to do,” Kuvira sighed.
“I can’t even imagine what she’s like right now,” you try not to laugh.
“Spirits, she is so detail orientated. Every little thing has to match. She keeps trying to change the flowers I chose but I won’t let her,” she complains.
“Oh, why’s that?” you ask. You had a feeling it was a more personal reason than just her own preference.
“She says they don’t match as well as some others will, but I chose your favorite. I don’t want to change that.” She looks away and you can see the blush on her face. You finally place the book back on your nightstand and roll back over to snuggle into Kuvira.
“I love you, Vira,” you smile. You feel her wrap her arms around you to keep you close. The bed dips a bit at the bottom, telling you that Jinx has hopped up on the bed. It was a nice ending to a stressful day even though there would be more stress to come.
*******************
It was the day of the wedding and you couldn’t be more nervous. Kuvira had gone to the Beifong estate, per Su’s request, to get ready. You were getting ready in your apartment, with the assistance of your mother and Bolin of all people. He refuses to not help because you’re his ‘best friend and that’s what friends do!’ Bolin was also good at keeping you calm.
“Bolin the shawl is fine!” you told him as he corrected it for the fourth time. Your mom was a little skeptical about Bolin when he came to help, but you assured her he was fine. He was fine, but right now he was being a little excessive.
“Now it is! Y/N you have to look your best today! I’ll accept nothing less,” he smiled.
“Thanks, Bolin,” you smiled. “You can go join the rest of the gang if you want to. There isn’t really anything else to do.”
“Well, then I’ll see you at the wedding. Don’t be late!” he joked as he left your apartment. That left you and your mom alone and for once it was nice. You hadn’t really spent time with individual members of your family, because everyone was always home. It was different, but you needed it still.
“How’s my little cherry blossom doing?” She stood in front of you. She was a few inches shorter than you, but refused to stop calling you that. It always made you blush, but you never asked her to stop. The nickname was a part of your unique connection with her compared to the rest of your family. She was the only one who could call you that.
“I’m great mom,” you smiled. There was underlying nervousness and excitement, but you did your best to keep that at bay.
“I know it’s late to ask you this, but does she make you happy?” she asked you with genuine concern. It had been a long time since she had last seen Kuvira. The last time was before you left to join her. Of course your mom was concerned. You knew she was worried about the person Kuvira had become during those three years.
“Mom, of course she does. It may not have always been perfect between the two of us, but we’ve come a long way since then.” She didn’t truly understand how, but she wasn’t going to try and change your mind. You were stubborn to a fault once you decided on something, much like your father.
You and your mother left your house with enough time to get to the wedding venue. You made sure to say goodbye to Jinx before you left just so she knew you loved her. Su, being Su, had chosen one of the open spaces of the Beifong estate. She asked you specifically about this to make sure it didn’t make you uncomfortable.
Your father was waiting for you both outside of the seating area. He was wearing a suit and you were surprised. He never wears fancy clothes unless your mother forces him to.
“Did mom make you wear the suit?” you asked as your father hugged you.
“Only the jacket and bowtie,” he smiled.
“Are you ready?” Your father asked after your mother had left to go sit down.
“Are you ready dad?” you asked. He wasn’t a man of many emotions, but the ones he had were strong. You could see the tears he was trying to fight and gave him a smile.
“Yes, and I couldn’t be more proud.” he smiled.
You two walked down the aisle and the music started to play. Nothing fancy, probably Kuvira’s doing, but it was still nice. The people seated began to quiet down and turned towards you and your father. Kuvira was talking to Opal about something before she heard the music and looked over to you. The adoration on her face was unmatched, even by your father. You both had waited and suffered through too much for this to feel real.
When you finally joined her your heart was racing. Yes, you both had practiced this before, but it was for real this time. You didn’t want to mess up now. You couldn’t mess up now.
“Please join hands,” the minister asks you both. You hold your hands out and Kuvira takes them. You can feel her usual steadiness is gone, replaced with the nervousness that you both feel.
"I ask you each now, to repeat the marriage vows." The minister looks at you both.
“I, Kuvira take you, Y/N for my wedded wife, To love and cherish, For better or worse, for richer or poorer, In sickness and in health. From this day forward.” Kuvira did her best to keep her emotions in check. You saw through the usual stoic expression she gave.
“I, Y/N take you, Kuvira for my wedded wife, To love and cherish, For better or worse, for richer or poorer, In sickness and in health. From this day forward.” You of course didn’t even try to hold back the smile that appeared on your face.
The minister grabs the rings from where they were placed after Naga brought them in. Kuvira thought it was completely unnecessary to have the Polar bear-dog bring the rings, but both you and Korra asked her every day for almost a week.
“May the Spirits bless these rings which you give to each other as your sign of Love, Devotion, and everlasting peace.” The minister held the rings up before handing both of you each other's rings.
“As you place this ring on your partner's finger I ask that you repeat these words.”
“This ring is my sacred gift to you, A symbol of my Love, A sign that from this day forward and always, My Love will surround you, With this ring, I thee wed,” he spoke the words. You both repeated him as you put the rings on each other’s fingers.
“For as much as Kuvira and Y/N have consented together in matrimony and have witnessed the same before the spirits and those present, and have pledged their faithfulness, each to the other, and have declared their love by giving and receiving rings and by joining hands, I now, by the authority committed unto me as a minister and a priest, declare that Kuvira and Y/N are wifes according to the ordinance of the spirits. Those whom the spirits have joined together, let no one put asunder.” The minister went through his required lines. You were beginning to become impatient, just wanting this to be official.
“May the peace and the unconditional love of the spirits surround you and remain with you,” he smiled.
“You may seal your vows with a kiss.”
You practically jumped on Kuvira. There were things about this kiss that felt the same, the feeling of her smiling as you kissed, the warmth it gave you. But there was the one big difference: this meant you two were married now. You never want to forget this moment.
Did you two kiss until you ran out of breath? Definitely. Neither of you minded and you didn’t pay attention to the raised eyebrows and smirks of others.
“Allow me to present Mrs. and Mrs. Beifong.” You both turned to everyone. You see your family all smiling at you, for once not being overwhelming. You see Su, Baatar, and the other Beifong kids smiling. Jr. looks a little upset, but that was a fact you knew.
You notice an older couple, around Su and Baatar’s age, sitting farther in the back. You don’t recognize their faces and you wonder who they are. You think back on the invitations and how you weren’t the one to send them out. You only wrote them, well almost all of them. An idea in the back of your mind made it’s home there, waiting for a better opportunity for you to ask Kuvira who exactly those two were.
The reception was much more familiar to your home life than the wedding was. The kids were chaotic as usual and there were the teens assigned to hunt them down. You missed this a little more than you cared to admit.
Catching up with family members was nice, most of them kept the conversations short so you wouldn’t get bored. You’d probably talked to half the people there by the time you decided to take a seat for a while. Even after years of not dealing with them, your family was still draining.
“Taking a break?” Kuvira had walked over to you after talking with your father about something. They got along surprisingly well and you were glad.
“Yeah. Already overwhelmed again,” you sighed.
“If you weren’t so keen on catching up with everyone as fast as possible, maybe you wouldn’t be so tired.” Kuvira raised an eyebrow. She sipped some of the wine in the glass she held when she saw you give her a mildly offended look.
“Yes, I know you’re far more social than I am,” she rolled her eyes. “But you really don’t have to do it so fast.”
“Habits I guess,” you shrugged. She grabbed your hand that was resting on the table and gently squeezed. It was the silent ‘I love you’ that she’s been giving you in the past few years. You give her a smile in return and she walks off to go talk with someone else. You watch as she walks over to the twins, who both give her a playful punch on the arm. The only two who could ever keep up with her in your opinion.
After she walked off you caught a glance of the older couple once again. They were sitting down and talking to each other. They looked happy, not as happy as everyone else, but simply content with where they were. You finished the glass of wine you had in your hand to help with whatever nerves you had. You were going to talk to them, learn who they were.
You were stopped by only a few family members while walking over to the couple. You kept those conversations short as well, but you took Kuvira’s advice and slowed yourself down. To your surprise, it actually helped you. You would have to thank her later for that.
You finally made it to the couple and they took notice of you right away. You felt a little awkward so you introduced yourself.
“I’m Y/N. I don’t believe we’ve met before.” You held out your hand. The man took it and gave you a firm handshake. His wife, you assumed, just nodded at you.
“It’s nice to meet you. I’m Ruong and this is my wife Keeva.” Ruong introduced himself and his wife.
“It seems like you two go well together,” Keeva pointed out. You could see she wasn’t looking at you, but over your shoulder. You guessed she was looking at Kuvira based on her statement.
“There have been a few ups and downs, but she’s amazing. A lot has happened since we got together. I don’t know how we would have handled it if we weren’t together,” you smiled. Keeva clearly liked you more than Ruong did. You could tell there was some disdain in his look.
“I don’t mean to be invasive with this question, but because I don’t recognize you, you have to be here for Kuvira don’t you?” you asked. Keeva gave you a small nod.
“We are
” Keeva answered. You could tell she wanted to say more. You weren’t sure why she didn’t. You struck a more casual conversation with them to ease whatever tension that had created. You knew they were Kuvira’s parents, they didn’t need to say it.
Kuvira had seen you leave your chair after she was done talking and messing around, a little, with the twins. She looked around for you amongst your family and when she did see you, in the obvious white dress, the feeling of dread crept up on her. She knew where you had gone and wasn’t ready for you to have done that yet.
She grabbed another glass of wine and downed it quickly, numbing her nerves so she could get the inevitable over and done with. She weaved through the crowds to where she knew her parents were sitting. When she saw you standing there with them, laughing and having a good time she was shocked.
She came up next to you and only startled you a bit. You smiled at her and she gave a faint smile back.
“Vira, I was just having a nice conversation with your parents,” you told her. She froze still because you knew. She didn’t blame you and your curiosity, but she wanted this whole interaction to be on her own terms.
“Could I talk to you for a minute?” she asked you. You understood now that talking to them on your own wasn’t what Kuvira wanted to happen. You heard the strain and hesitation in her voice.
“Of course.” You stood up and followed her. About halfway through her taking you somewhere to talk you took her hand. A reassuring gesture that you knew she needed right now. When you two got somewhere more quiet she stopped and turned to you. The look of uncertainty on her face was something you haven’t seen since she surrendered at Republic City.
“Hey, what’s wrong.” You placed your hand on her cheek.
“You mean other than the obvious?” She snapped at you.
“Vira, I didn’t know how you wanted me to meet them and I didn’t even know they were coming. I got a little curious.” It was sort of an apology and an explanation at the same time.
“I know, I just wanted to be there. My father can be a bit...harsh at times,” she sighed.
“Yeah, I think I got that. He doesn’t like jokes very much. Your mom seems to find me very funny,” you give her a small smile. She can’t help but laugh at that fact. Of course that’s how you interact with them.
“I wanted to be there with you when you met them.” You figured that when she dragged you off.
“I’m sorry.” You gave her a kiss, trying to make up for the panic you had caused her.
“No, it’s ok. I’m glad you met them. I honestly couldn’t have stopped you from doing that anyway,” she smiles.
“Yeah, you’re right about that,” you smirk.
“We should go back, I’m sure the music will start playing soon if my mother has anything to say about it.” You rolled your eyes at the thought and heard Kuvira let out a chuckle. You two had never really danced together that often. You were too embarrassed by your dancing skills, or lack thereof. You had some practice, but you felt like a clutz compared to Kuvira. She would always compliment you, which just made you blush and then mess up.
When you two got back there was already music playing. There were a few people dancing, either couples or adults and kids. You looked over to Kuvira who smiled. She knew that this wasn’t the time to dance yet.
You had a plan for the dancing. You wanted at least a song or two to dance with her, one with your father of course, and then your song. Kuvira had no idea about your song, or that you were going to be singing in general. It was your big surprise for her.
She stayed close to you throughout the first song. You knew she was going to ask you to dance for the next song, you could see it on her face. That tiny smirk whenever she would look over at you.
The song ended and changed to a slower one. A favorite of yours and your father. He walked over to you and took your hand. You were thankful that your father wasn’t a skillful dancer like Kuvira, because he would have embarrassed you with it.
The dance was slower than the last. There was a feeling of peace surrounding you, that whatever stress accumulated throughout the day practically vanished altogether.
You looked over to Kuvira and saw her father walking over to her. You couldn’t help the smirk on your face and she was slightly confused by it. You indirectly watched their interaction, how her father didn’t look confident at all. Reminded you a lot of her trying to dance with you for the first time.
Your father looked at you with a raised eyebrow since he saw that Kuvira had actually accepted her father’s request to dance. You only smiled and shrugged. You didn’t have time to explain it to him and you knew he would ask them questions if you couldn’t answer them.
When you caught a glimpse of them together it was the first time you had seen Kuvira smile with her father. Granted she might have before, but you don’t really know. You would say this night couldn’t get any better, but there was one thing that could and you just had to wait a bit.
The song came to an end and you gave your father a tight hug and you both went to sit down for a bit. You watched Kuvira and her father have a short conversation before she came to sit next to you. You couldn’t tell what emotion she was feeling because there was too much to read on her face.
“Hey, you ok?” You grabbed her hand gently. You must have brought her out of her own thoughts because you felt her hand tense in response.
“What? Oh, yes I’m fine.” she still seemed out of it.
“You sure?” You didn’t want to press for details, but you weren’t going to just leave this be.
“For once I am.” You saw the content smile, that she’s rarely shown to anyone, appear on her face. You guessed her father had said something and you thanked the spirits that it wasn’t something bad.
“Good, there’s one more thing happening tonight that I think you’ll like,” you gave her a sly grin.
“Oh, and what’s that?” she raised an eyebrow.
“You can wait to find out.” You kissed her on the cheek before getting up. You heard her try and say something, but she was fumbling with her words.
You walked over to the band, already feeling everyone’s eyes on you. You had only told Su about what you wanted to do, knowing Kuvira wasn’t good with picking music. You looked over to Su and the smile she gave you made you more confident about what you were going to do.
The band knew what you wanted to do. They had music for this. The singer simply handed you the microphone and gave you a thumbs up. The band started with a soft, but upbeat sound. Setting you up for when you would come in. You took a deep break and turned around to start singing.
Some day, when I'm awfully low
When the world is cold
I will feel a glow just thinking of you
And the way you look tonight
Everyone had stopped talking when you started singing. It made your heart beat even faster knowing that, but you focused on Kuvira. This was your song for her. You wanted to know how she felt about it.
Yes, you're lovely, with your smile so warm
And your cheeks so soft
There is nothing for me but to love you
And the way you look tonight
You motioned for people to start dancing. It would help with your nerves and it was meant to be danced to as well.
With each word your tenderness grows
Tearin' my fear apart
And that laugh, wrinkles your nose
Touches my foolish heart
Your parents were the first to start dancing. Thankfully that encouraged others to join in. You even saw Kuvira’s parents join in. You were mildly surprised by that.
Lovely, never, never change
Keep that breathless charm
Won't you please arrange it?
'Cause I love you
Just the way you look tonight
You watched Kuvira get up and walk over to you. You were smiling while singing and she gave you that content smile that she had before. She held out her hand and you gladly took it. You knew you weren’t great at dancing, but right now you were focusing on singing. Kuvira didn’t mind either of those things.
And that laugh that wrinkles your nose
It touches my foolish heart
Lovely, don't you ever change
Keep that breathless charm
Won't you please arrange it?
'Cause I love you
Just the way you look tonight
You took the microphone away from your face and leaned into Kuvira, singing the last part just for her.
Mm, mm, mm, mm,
Just the way you look tonight
Everyone was clapping for you because of how beautiful the song was. You were too busy kissing Kuvira to be embarrassed about that. Now you could really say tonight couldn’t get any better.

Relax, Kuvira x reader
(from my one-shot book on wattpad, love language)
Tick Tock, Tick Tock.
More and more time ticked by as y/n sat in her office working tirelessly on the new plan for the Earth Empire. She was the Earth Empire's strongest mind and the person behind most of their ideas.
She was the Great Uniter's right-hand-woman and lover.
Kuvira and her had plans to rule the world together. And by all means, they could do it. They were perfect together. While Kuvira presented the power and intimidation, y/n was behind the scenes making all the important calls and inventions.
Y/n was just as much as the Great Uniter as Kuvira was. She just wasn’t in the public eye.
But that didn't make her job any less stressful. At times it actually made it more stressful. Sometimes she longed to trade jobs with her fiancée but, she knew she didn't have the personality or patience for it.
Also if Kuvira dealt with half of what y/n did, she'd lose her mind. It was perfect the way it was.
Well. . .almost.
Y/n was an absolute perfectionist which is why she was even working into the night. She had been even more stressed than normal lately and Kuvira had noticed.
Kuvira had found a healthy balance between work and rest, unlike her fiancée. She knew y/n would you work herself to death if she could. This is why once the clock hit nine she was ready to intervene.
Nine of course came quickly and y/n showed no signs of returning to their shared room. Kuvira let out a long sigh and rose to her feet, leaving their quarters.
She saw y/n's office door and gently opened it. "Babe?" She asks peeking into the room.
Just as she suspected there was y/n, with her nose buried in a book and blueprints scattered all over the desk. Whiteboards were even out in different corners of the room, having different calculations on them that seemed like a foreign language to Kuvira.
Y/n didn't even notice Kuvira was there. She hadn't glanced up. She was too stressed, she needed answers.
Kuvira makes her way over to her lover's desk, shocked that y/n hadn't moved a muscle. By now she had noticed her but didn't look up, "hi 'Vira."
Kuvira snatches the book from y/n's hands making her look up with a small glare. She looks down at her with a commanding look, "It's getting late, you need to rest."
Y/n lets out a groan and rubs her eyes. "I have too much to do. . .I'm gonna fail the empire."
Kuvira raises a brow, "no you're not. You're the hardest working person we have. You work harder than me! You deserve to relax, love."
She only hums in response which makes Kuvira sigh. She knew y/n didn't believe her, even though that statement was more than true.
Kuvira wraps her arms around y/n but pauses when she feels how tense she is, "spirits, y/n, baby you're so tense. There's no way you're not in pain!"
Y/n looks over her shoulder to meet Kuvira's worried gaze, "I'm fine, 'Vira. I'm sore from time to time but it's nothing I can't handle."
They both knew that way a lie. Y/n had been in nothing but intense pain in her neck, back, and shoulders for weeks now. But she was too stubborn to say anything about it.
What she wasn’t expecting was for Kuvira to start gently kneading her shoulders, "I think we both know that's a lie, my dear."
Y/n lets out a soft moan that told Kuvira that she was correct. She had only started on her shoulders and she could feel so many knots and tense areas in her partner's gorgeous body.
Kuvira's heart broke a little as she felt how stressed y/n was. She could tell that she wasn’t doing the best job of taking care of herself and it frustrated her.
She loved her so much and seeing her in this kind of pain hurt her inside.
To y/n, Kuvira's hands were working wonders. As much as it hurt it also felt amazing. She was getting all the spots that were bothering her the most. It was relaxing and relieving all at the same time.
"Babe, you gotta start taking better care of yourself," Kuvira says gently as she presses against a knot in her lower back.
Y/n sighs, knowing it was true.
Kuvira continues, "I love you so much and it hurts me to see you this way. . .and if that's not enough to sway you, the empire needs you to be at 100%. It can't have you sleep-deprived and stressed. We both need you to take care of yourself, please."
“Okay,” y/n replies softly making Kuvira stop for a moment and hug her.
She places a loving kiss on her cheek, “thank you, dear. I love you.”
“I love you too.”

DATING KUVIRA WOULD INCLUDE:
-Her approaching first and completely catching you off guard to ask you out.
-You being one of the few people to see Kuvira in her most relaxed state (quite literally with her hair down), her usual stoic mask completely gone.
-Her being quite blunt with her compliments and more handsy that you originally assumed (and thank god for it)
-her whispering inappropriate things into your ear when youre out in public. She loves seeing how much or in some cases, how little it takes to make you shiver.
-Her slightly controlling side evident whenever she’s worried about your health; often setting alarms for you to drink water, insisting you go to bed earlier when youre overworked, going out of her way to cook for you if you dont normally have time.
-Her purposely trying to show off during workouts if she knows youre watching
-You giving her massages to help loosen her tight muscles and slowly getting her accustomed to “relaxing”
-Spending hours into the night discussing each others hopes and dream for the future. She’s extremely supportive of you in every aspect of your life
-her being the big spoon but every now and again she loves being held by you (and you love holding her just the same).
-Her getting you to sit on her back as he does pushups.
-Those brilliant green eyes locking with yours right before she helps you reach climax
-Either getting up early together to watch the sun rise or staying up to enjoy the stars
-Her instinctively throwing a hand over your shoulder if she catches someone eyeing you, followed by a subtle glare.
-Getting to wake up to her gravely morning voice
-Her wearing the smuggest of smiles whenever you bend to her touch
-You bringing her a fresh cup of a coffee whenever she works late into the night on a project
-People noticing a slight glow to kuvira when you first started dating. Some even feel she got a tad softer but they wouldn’t dare say it to her face.
-You making a big deal about her birthday despite her barely celebrating. She secretly hides how warm your enthusiasm makes her.

It was Suyin’s annual Zaofu anniversary party. Celebrating the day that Zaofu had become its own city (and a successful one at that). She had all of her close friends and family members come by her house and by the end of the day, the house would be jam packed with people. All of them wearing different earth kingdom themed clothing and formal outfits. She would allow most of her guards to join the party along as long as they had been taking turns watching over Zaofu and not ingesting any alcohol.

The Avatar's Love
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Things happen for a reason and you can't do anything to change it. Y/N never imagined that she would have become the next Avatar. She was born in the earth kingdom and she was an earthbender. She had trained every day & night for the past 13 years. All the elements had come easy to her which was a surprise. For the past 4 years she has lived in Republic City living in the air temple with Tenzin & his kids.
Y/N was training with Tenzin's kids on the training grounds. "Go easy on Us Y/N were not even close to the powers of the avatar" Jinora said and Y/N rolled her eyes as her and Jinora walked in circles. Jinora was the first to attack with her airbending. Y/N used her earth bending and made an earth wall. The others attacked as well and Y/N dodged all of their blows before using her water bending to knock them all down before using her earth bending to keep them on the ground. "Alright we give up" Ikki shouted and Y/N let the four of them go. Y/N smirks but stops when she sees someone walking towards them. "Ugh what's he doing here" Rohan said and the others agreed.
"Y/N sweetie how's training going" Mako said as he pulled Y/N into a hug before kissing her on the cheek. "It was good before you got here" Y/N muttered out the last part when Mako pulled away. "Mm that's nice I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date tonight and maybe we could have some fun after" he said and Y/N scrunched her face up. "Uh I actually have to be somewhere tonight sorry Mako" Y/N said and she whistled. "Oh uh that's fine maybe next time" he said as he rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. A TigerDillo stopped beside Y/N a couple seconds later. She nudged Y/N's face causing Y/N to smile. "I should get going now I'll see you all later" Y/N said as she mounted her animal guide. "See you soon Y/N good luck" Jinora said and Y/N waved before telling Ruby to set off.
Y/N and Ruby arrived at their destination a couple minutes later and Y/N hopped off of Ruby. She patted Ruby and they both walked in the courthouse. "Go rest Ruby" Y/N said and Ruby rushed off to the back. Y/N made her way up the flight of stairs before walking through the halls. She stopped at a closed door when she heard someone talking on the phone. She twisted the doorknob before throwing the door open a little too roughly. "What the hell kno- oh Avatar Y/N" someone said and Y/N put the door back on its hinges before turning back around. "Councilman Bolin" Y/N teased causing the man to roll his eyes. "Where are they at" Y/N asked and Bolin pointed behind him. Y/N walked over and kissed his cheek before using her earth bending powers to move the wall.
She arrived in an underground room and looked around when she heard hushed voices. She snuck through the room and hid behind a bookshelf. She snuck around the bookshelf and threw herself into the closet out of the two women causing her to jump. She spun around and slammed Y/N against the bookshelf causing some books to fall on the other side. "Well this is a nice way to greet someone especially the Avatar" Y/N said as she looked up at the person. "Oh hello Princess" Kuvira sighed out before her lips twitched up into a smirk. Y/N's face flushed red causing Kuvira's smirk to widen. "ZuZu help me" Y/N whined out as she looked at the other black haired woman who just sipped on her hot tea. "Oh you can beat her you're the Avatar and plus you got yourself into this so" Azula said and Y/N frowned and was about to use her air bending when something clicked over her wrists pinning her to the bookshelf. She looked over to see metal keeping her from using her hands. "If you try to use your fire bending it's gonna set the whole place on fire so I wouldn't use that. On the other hand using your water bending would ruin the books as well" Kuvira said as she patted Y/N's cheek before stepping away. Y/N growled out as she stomped on the floor making the ground crack. Azula grabbed the tea pitcher and lifted it up so it wouldn't spill when the ground shook. "Watch the damn tea" Azula growled out and Y/N gulped. Kuvira let Y/N go causing her to drop to the ground. She stood up and brushed herself off before walking over to Azula and kissing her on the cheek.
"How much longer do you have until you get married to that boy" Kuvira growled out and Y/N sighed. "Can we not talk about that I just want to forget about him right now" Y/N said as she stroked her hand through her ash brown hair. "I know a few ways to get your mind off of him" Azula said causing Y/N to blush brightly. "Absolutely not" Y/N said and Azula raised an eyebrow as well As Kuvira. "What you don't want to fight against your two secret girlfriends" Kuvira said and Y/N's eyes widened in shock. "Oh that's what you meant" Y/N said as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Yes what else did you think we m- oh oh you thought about something dirty" Kuvira said and she laughed as she threw her head back. Y/N blushed even more and hid her face in her hands as Azula smirked. "Well we can do that too if you want I'm not against that" Azula said as she stood up and walked over to Y/N. Y/N squeaked when she felt Azula's strong hands on her shoulder. Azula squeezed them before leaning down and whispering into Y/N ear. "We could do both" she said her voice raspier than usual.
It was the day of Mako and Y/N's wedding and Y/N just wanted to get the day over with. "Honey you look beautiful" Y/N's mother said as she tightened the wedding dress causing Y/N to suck a breath in. She didn't smile as she looked at herself in the mirror. She didn't want to marry Mako she wanted to marry Azula and Kuvira but that probably wasn't going to happen after the wedding since Mako and Y/N would be going back to Mako's home city far away from Republic city. "Dear are you alright" her mother said and Y/N looked at her mother through the mirror before faking a smile. "Yes I'm alright mother I can't wait to marry Mako" Y/N said before she cringed on the inside. "Well you don't have to wait long you'll be married to him in a couple minutes" her mother said not hearing the sarcastic tone in Y/N's voice.
Mako and Y/N were standing at the altar facing each other while holding hands. "Mako do you take Y/N to be your wife as long as you both shall live" the priest said and Mako smiled at Y/N. "I do" he said and the man nodded before looking at Y/N. "And do you Y/N take Mako to be your husband as long as both of you shall live" he asked and Y/N gulped before looking around the wedding hall to see everyone waiting. She saw Jinora, Ikki, Meelo and Rohan looking at her. She looked back at Mako to see him still smiling. "I-" she was cut off when the doors to the wedding hall busted open. Everyone looked over to see Fire Lord Azula and Great Uniter Kuvira standing in the doorway. "Stop this wedding now" Azula shouted and Y/N looked back at Mako before pulling her hands away and stepping back. "Y/N sweetie what's going on" Mako said as he tried reaching for her but a wall of earth divided the two. The priest had jumped out of the way and everyone looked at Kuvira with eyes widened in shock. "This wedding is cancelled" Kuvira growled out and Y/N ripped the bottom of her wedding dress off before dropping it onto the ground. "Took you guys long enough I absolutely hate wearing dresses" Y/N growled out as she made her way towards the two women. Y/N stood in between the two women before turning around.
Before Y/N could stop it a huge fight started with Mako, Azula and Kuvira along with Y/N's parents. Y/N started shaking with anger and her eyes started glowing. "KNOCK IT OFF" Y/N shouted just as lightning struck Kuvira in the arm causing her to wince as she collapsed to the ground. Azula stopped and rushed over to Kuvira before helping her up after sending fire towards Mako. He nearly dodged it and it grazed his arm burning him. He shouted out in pain and Y/N's parents rushed over to him. Y/N floated back to the ground and walked over to the two women. "Are you two alright" Y/N asked and the two nodded. Y/N looked over at Mako before walking towards him. She stomped on the ground and the ground shook before Mako was pinned against the wall. Y/N's parents were shoved out of the way as well. She made her way up the small stairs before stopping right in front of him. "What's going on Y/N" he growled out and Y/N silenced him as her eyes glowed again. "Simple I never loved you it was an arranged marriage and I don't even like men my parents knew that but still made us get engaged" Y/N said as she clenched her hands into fists. "And those two women I love them with all my heart I've been seeing them ever since we got together" she continued causing Mako's eyes to widen in shock. "YOU CAN'T DATE WOMEN THAT'S JUST DISGUSTING" Y/N's father shouted causing Y/N to whip her head around. Y/N just smirked before she raised her hand up. His limbs started bending in weird ways causing him to scream out in pain. "You're the only two to think that in this whole room" Y/N said as her smirk widened. "Y/N darling stop it's not worth it" Azula said causing Y/N to snap out of it and drop her father to the ground. "Now if you'll excuse me I'm leaving with my girlfriends" Y/N said as she made her way to Azula and Kuvira. The three of them walked out and Y/N let Mako go before the doors shut behind them.

----------------------------------------------------
You were on a work trip when it happened. Using the city as a two day rest between negotiations meetings ended up not only leading you to an alternate reality but a deadly one.
Your first game was simple enough, a three of diamonds based on ethics, almost as if it was made for you. Afterwards, it wasn't hard to find the beach, they were still at the beginning of setting up the place so your help was welcomed.
After a few days you got used to this new world, of course the games were challenging but the prospect of creating a society made you feel a bit closer to home. The other inhabitants were nice but you rarely went past pleasantries with them, except Ann.
You both became friends after you supported her decision to perform autopsies on some of the dead. It wasn't a best friends relationship but you protected each other and that was enough in borderland.
Mira arrived around the tenth day of The Beach, quickly rising above the hierarchy due to her six of hearts. However, some still believed she needed a test, so that's how you two started talking.
You were meant to supervise her game, going only you, Mira, Ann and Chishiya. The game was in groups, four people would head to a room where they would be separated into two partners, difficulty being nine of hearts. Leaving you and Mira in one room, Ann and Chishiya in another, which meant you weren't playing together.
Instead, your game was partnered with Mira and against two other girls. All you had to do was be the first to press the button at the end of a small maze, well, with a blindfold and countless noises varying from snakes to chainsaws. It was a game of trust, since not knowing if the threats were true or not.
You can't say the game was easy, after all, walking blindfolded through an unknown path while listening to screams was definitely frightening. But you trusted her, and won.
The four of you went back to the beach discussing the game and deaths of the other players, morbid but it was better than going insane with guilt. You obviously gave Mira a good evaluation, you did return without a scratch.
In consequence you both got closer, going from small talks to 2 a.m conversations about humanity.
Mira was crazy, not in a bad way, but still crazy. She would talk for hours about heart games and get happy when you showed genuine interest. She would constantly do minor manipulations to people in order to achieve whatever she wants at the moment. And lastly, she seemed to truly enjoy the new world, of course it wasn't wrong to like it, but all of the destruction was too much for you.
However, you adored all of her traits, finding her unique in a special way.
Your feelings for the woman were quite obvious to anyone, following her around and staring with heart eyes were definitely giving you away. She knew of it, how could she not, you would shower her with presents and affection.
At first Mira wanted to use your feelings, or so she thought, it's quite easy to believe in a lie, especially a well told one. She just didn't want to admit that being by your side was because she worries for you, or that she holds your hand to stay sane or that she adores your gestures when you get excited about something.
You both danced around your feelings for a long time, until Arisu showed up and right after it, Hatter died. Unlike you, Mira knew what was going on, and for the first time in a long time she wasn't thrilled about a Hearts game.
Before the game started, you were both at the roof counting stars when she kissed you. It wasn't rushed or intense, it was slow and meaningful, as if it would be the last time this would happen.
Mira left you with Ann after the game began, you were worried for her but if there was a chance to end the challenge you had to take it, so you helped your friend.
You didn't see Mira when the figures game was initiated, none of the others could tell you what she had done. So you carried on, kept looking for her but never straying too far from one of the group members.
You spent more time with Kuina, she would always assure you that Mira was fine, you never really believed her.
When the King of Spades was defeated you looked an absolute mess, multiple wounds, none too deep, but a lot of blood. And you still carried on for the Queen of Hearts, going in with Arisu and Usagi, trying to forget the pain of seeing Ann bleeding out, because you had to finish this, for them.
You weren't stupid, deep down you knew but chose to ignore it. Everyone kept telling you she was fine, or looked at you with pity. It was simple, she either died or was one of the figures.
You weren't surprised to see her on the rooftop, not even with the game she chose. You just stood aside and waited.
It wasn't a surprise when she got in their heads and played as if they were just pawns in chess.
What surprised you was when you started crying. You can't even remember how it started, just that it happened.
For a moment Mira forgot her goal and just ran to you. She embraced you while the others regained consciousness, and waited until you calmed down.
It's funny how she was supposed to be the Queen of Hearts when her own doesn't belong to her anymore. If only you knew how she would give anything to you, even life.
She asked Usagi to stay with you while the game came to an end. You closed your eyes during the play, not bearing to watch when you knew the finale.
You only looked again when hearing her little "I won", running to hug her and beg for her not to leave you again. You wouldn't let her go, not even when the time was getting to zero, you just couldn't.
You fell down when she died, clutching to her body, sobbing, asking anyone to help you, to fix it, to switch places.
When it asked if you wanted to stay you said no, not without her, you asked for both to leave, again and again until everything stopped.
You woke up in a shared hospital room with a few bandages and a very painful headache. Looking around only to find a woman laying next to you with bandages on her head and a breathing tube.
She seemed weirdly familiar but you couldn't quite remember her, so you went back to sleep and hoped to meet the woman when she wakes up.

“I thought I made it clear that I need this time to properly dissect the evidence, Y/n.” Ann says, lifting her delicate, latex covered fingers up, her dark eyes focusing intently on the scalpel in her hand. Even when she was covered in filth and bloody grime, she still managed to look so serene and beautiful. But you can’t help but pucker your lips in frustration, as she’d promised you her full, undivided attention for what seemed like an hour ago. In truth, Ann has been laser focused into a hunch that seemed to come to her in a dream, seeking answers to a mystery that hadn’t sat right with her for a while.

5 ways of love

----------------------------------------------------
Love wasn't easy for Mira, studying the human mind quickly changed her perception on emotions, and after being sent to the Borderlands, all the betrayals made her even colder.
You weren't expected in her life, in fact she planned the game you were supposed to die in. However, your survival called for Mira's curiosity, which increased with your arrival at The Beach. You were shy at first, a bit clumsy, not wanting to draw attention but strangely coming unscathed from every game.
The queen of hearts was enthralled by you, wanting to study your mind (and casually break it). It wasn't unusual when she started to speak with you, everyone knew how nice the woman was. But she would slowly get closer to you, be it by treating your few injuries or holding your pinky when walking.
You became used to her, finding her comforting and absolutely adorable.
Of course you weren't stupid, you didn't draw attention because you knew how dangerous Hatter could be, you didn't talk because you've been through many heart games, and you never got major injuries 'cause you knew how to survive and there were very few things you wouldn't do.
You were quick to sense Mira's curiosity just as much as you noticed her starting to care for you. It was scary, but how could you deny a woman so enchanting.
Mira stayed in denial for a while, but a particular diamond phase made her once forgotten emotions come rushing in.
You got hurt, not deadly but bad enough for the woman to lock you in her room until everything was properly treated.
The following days were awkward, Mira was distant after realizing her feelings and you were afraid of scaring her even more. She did try to apologize, but her threatening you would be less scary than her trying to be emotional, so you decided to guide her through your relationship.
Day 1 - words of affirmation
You started teaching her from the easiest to the hardest, therefore the day was spent by showering Mira with compliments and silly love eyes.
Anything she did was encouraged by you, except when the woman plotted to kill someone because they "stared at you for more than two seconds."
By the end of the day, Mira was not only turning into a blushing mess but was beginning to understand her feelings.
Day 2 - quality time
This was one that Mira didn't need teaching, since she constantly stayed by your side. However, confessing that her motives were to keep you safe was trickier than expected, but possible.
Day 3 - receiving gifts
Living in an apocalyptic city made presents harder than it should be. Giving gifts was your specialty, and in this new world your tradition couldn't just die.
So you made a crafting day with Mira, where you both would try to create something new to give the other.
Mira was
competitive, resulting in you crowning her as the winner and making an extra present as reward for her upstanding work.
Day 4 - acts of service
As much as Mira would hate to admit, doing something for you brought her immense happiness. Not for the act of serving itself, but for being the one to make you happy, to be useful for you.
So, the roles switched a bit, even when you tried to do things for her, she would pretend needing help just to see you smile.
Day 5 - physical touch
Neither of you were very touchy, both being afraid of intimacy made holding hands hard. But that didn't mean you never touched, just that it was more delicate.
In the privacy of your rooms, sharing a bed wasn't unusual, it was always followed by low giggles and shy smiles. You would cuddle occasionally, usually preferring to just be in each other's presence.
Sometimes, you would wake up to see Mira hugging you tight with a satisfied smile on her sleeping face.
And during other times, Mira would wake up with your head on her chest, sleeping peacefully.
Love wasn't easy for Mira, but you made her want to learn to be better, because being by your side was enough for her to feel again.

Aib women: How they cuddle you
Kuina:
- first off, she'll definitely BEG for cuddles and or take it upon herself to cuddle you herself
- is a literal body blanket, just flops herself onto of you and lays her head on your chest
- " these are really fluffy" " shut up kuina" *she giggles*
- listens to your heartbeat and usually falls asleep like that
Ann:
- try's to make it seem like she doesn't want to cuddle but she actually like it
- Ann isn't use to skin to skin contact but she'll make an effort for you
- starts off with holding hands for the most part but when you guys are deep within your relationship An let's you hold her close (face to face cuddle)
- it's your guys way of saying I love you almost
- she often gets drowsy because of the body warmth and feels safe
Mira:
- Mira is a naturally very touchy person, especially with you
- any chance she gets to touch you, she'll take it
- Mira prefers that she take the lead but for the most part when it comes to cuddling she just wraps herself around your waist and lays on your side
- she lays her head on your shoulder and uses her hand to trace patterns on your stomach
- sometimes Mira try's to spice things up by going under the shirt but you quickly scold her while she giggles
Queen of spades:
- she a literal top for everything
- you'll FOREVER be her little spoon
- anywhere she'll come up behind you and hold you close to her body
- she often lays kisses on the back of your ear and whisper teases
- as long as she has you in her arms she'll be fine
- you often fall asleep before she does, so she'll watch you from that position and lay a kiss on your cheek
Urumi:
- Urumi likes to be taken care of and cuddling doesn't exclude that
- she often makes you wrap your hands around her waist
- you rest your chin on her head because of the height difference
- in bed, she's your little spoon and she loves having you in that position
