It’s almost as if I enjoy missing you. You, you, you sometimes it’s all I think about.

The night you held my hand…

It’s almost bittersweet to remember that night, The night when you first held my hand, How I felt scared and excited, But something within me melted, And something within me began to bloom. And your intense stares softened the hardest parts of me, But you never noticed, And may be because I never showed. And even though I tried to pull away, You didn’t let go. It was almost symbolic, as if you were trying to say that you’ll never let go. You seem to have a way with me, Almost like you know my every fear, And you are so careful to silently tell me that I shouldn’t be afraid But as I began to trust you, You were the one to pull away. And I tried to hold on to you, But you slipped right through, And you left me there, Alone, And I watched you walk away, But your hand forever left an imprint on my hand.
