I love how this season has defied many previous aspects of Nickelodian shows such as:

1) Korrasami bonding based on their mutual relationships as Mako’s ex girlfriends

2) VILLIANS IN LOVE

3) Members of Team Avatar weren’t perfect and had their own fair share of mistakes that still have consequences on their families

4) Toph had TWO daughters and it’s insinuated that she wasn’t married to either of their fathers

I can’t wait to see what else we have in store this season!

They were written to be like living, breathing people, and that means they might have screwed up once or twice. And it also means that their kids might view their well-intentioned choices in a less than idealized light. Because that’s how families operate.

The Gaang is not your substitute family. They also aren’t your property. Quit piling onto everyone who’s actually pretty cool with the fact that they didn’t turn out to be completely infallible. You are not a better guardian of their legacies than they.
