Interview with Lil Altima
Lil Altima is a Houston, Texas artist.
He has nearly 4k followers on Soundcloud and has been growing alot lately.
Q: How long have you been making music.
Altima: 2013
Q: How old are you if you dont care sharing?
Altima: Nah I dont mind, im 19.
Q: Who would you say has influenced your music.
Altima: Well my music has changed, i used to be lyrical and then i was inspired by Eminem and Hopsin. Now my music isnt focused on being lyrical so i'd say Xavier Wulf and Yung Lean are big for me.
Q: With the recent success of artists off soundcloud would you say you need a soundcloud following to get big today?
Altima: Id say so yeah. Unless you have connections in the industry, which most of us artist don't have that, so you for sure need a following.
Q: Do you believe you need a record label nowadays.
Altima: Nah, with record labels they use you for money then get rid of you. The internet is more than enough.
Q: Favorite song youve made so far.
Altima: Thats hard.. My latest song Run It Up was alot of fun to make.
Q: Any plans for a mixtape?
Altima: I dropped a tape last year, it didnt do the numbers i wanted to then. Now i think if i drop around the end of the year itll do numbers so look for sometime at the end of the year.
Q: Who would you like to work with in the near future?
Altima: David Shawty, Lil Paycheck
Q: Could you describe your music to new listeners?
Altima: versatile
Thanks to Lil Altima for the interview and stay tuned for more!

The Art Of Chopped And Screwed
The style of chopped and screwed has been the prize point of Houston for the past decade and for good reason.Chopped and screwed which was popularized by DJ Screw has been one of the most influential  sub-genres for hip hop and rap,Chopped and screwed was particularly formed to enhance the vibes and feelings for many houston natives who enjoyed using promethazine and codeine. This intoxication usually created a slow and wavy educed feeling and to enhance this feeling even more chopped and screwed was born.
