He almost hmphed at him, crossing his arms. "I'm not a good-for-nothing, y'know," he huffed.
Almost topping over in surprise as Kagami wrapped his arm around his shoulder and smiled. Especially the smile. He didn't want to admit it, but he actually missed that stupid grin the American always wore - almost to the point where he wanted to just hug the idiot. But it was too early for that stuff. And besides, it was pouring, and he didn't fancy himself getting more wet.
"...I missed you too...maybe."
Raindrops | Aomine and Kagami
Kagami raised an eyebrow towards the ex-Touou ace and looked at him confused. College? The heck was he even studying? Still, nothing could really change the fact that Kagami had pretty much missed Aomine. It’s been what felt like forever for the two to make any eye contact again. Especially with Kagami’s cell phone breaking and changing.
The male wiped a bit of rain from his face and smirked, letting out a bit of laughter.
"Really? That’s it? I thought you’d be making more of an ass yourself here!"
The male’s face lit up with laughter and smiles before colliding into Aomine with an arm being chucked over Aomine’s shoulder and a head linking over his shoulder blade, clinging slightly to his shirt.
"……… I missed you…"

The fact that Kagami was here was just plain stupid, but he actually felt a little bit happy about it. Just a little... okay, maybe he was actually overjoyed. They hadn't seen each other since their final match back in Japan, and that was months ago.
He smirked a little as the other started being more himself again. "I'm here for college - why else?"
The rain was still pounding down, but he barely noticed it by now. After all, there was something more important than the possibility of getting sick in front of him.
Raindrops | Aomine and Kagami
Kagami bounced the ball once hard and caught it in his hand, now tucking the basketball under his arm as he stared at Aomine very confused yet happy. He was glad to see Aomine but at the same time, he didn’t understand why he too was at Magnolia.
As Aomine questioned his being here, Kagami’s eye twitched. He raised his voice slightly, now becoming defensive over the male.
"No, I didn’t you asshole! You must have followed me! I’ve been living here for about a few months now! ……. What are you doing here anyways? I haven’t seen you last since our final match back home…"
His voice softened now however, glancing down at the wet concrete beneath their feet, his heart beating ever slightly faster. Did he really miss him that much?

Okay. The look on his face just confirmed his sinking suspicions that it really was that stupid gluttonous redhead he knew too well for his own good.
But seriously, what were the chances? There could be a million other cities in the world that Kagami could’ve been in, but no, he just had to show up in front of Aomine now.

"This place is shit."
That’s what rang through Aomine’s head over and over as he walked briskly to the street ball courts, ball under his arm and bag over his shoulder. Seriously - he hadn’t found any decent basketball players to play against; the last lot he had beat completely ten against one. And the flowers were annoying, seeing as it gave him constant allergies too.
He definitely wasn’t trusting fate again to choose his college again.
Suddenly, he felt something fall on his hair. Raising a hand up experimentally, he realized that it was starting to rain. Not that it was going to stop him from playing, but it was irritating.
Reaching the court finally, he noticed a player already practicing there. Already irritated by everything, he was about to tell at said person and kick them off when he saw them execute an amazing dunk. That was when he realized - and seeing the guy’s face for the first time only exemplified it.
Kagami Taiga, no doubt. He was completely speechless; he couldn’t even make any proper sounds. Instead, his basketball dropped to the ground, having unconsciously slid out of his grip, which snapped him back to reality.
"You."
Dunk.
In went the ball, the chains of the net chiming.
The ball bounced on the floor a few times before rolling away a few yards. The tall Basketball player wandered over towards the ball and picked it up, then began to spin the ball on the tip of his index finger, before beginning to dribble…
