TOO MANY “WTF MOMENTS” THIS WEEK  FOR ONE POST...PT. 1
Tumblr media
There were so many WTF moments that I’m not sure which is the most audaciously nutty and guamblog can’t pick just one “WTF Moment of the Week.” So, I’ll leave it to my astute readers to decide for yourselves which of these stories leaves you mumbling WTF than the rest. Starting with my own “WTF-is-happening-here” moment to remember.
Well, as you all know by now, after my beloved gayu, Carl Gutierrez lost his Primary bid for Adelup in August, many of the GB supporters found themselves disenfranchised  and disrespected – and wide open game for BOTA appeals of support.
Sunshiners who moseyed over to support BOTA, breathing new life into the BOTA campaign. Their support has helped , beleaguered Lt. governor Ray Tenorio and his running mate, former senator Tony Ada enjoy a resurgent campaign this past month.
Tumblr media
Unlike some GB supporters, who had followed Gutierrez to the IN team, I did not disrespect or turn petty and hostile to the Sunshine diehards who joined BOTA, and was asked by them to attend a village meeting in Agat with them, last Sunday.
So, with great trepidation – and lots of Kevlar – I threw caution to the wind, and went. (And of course, almost immediately bumped into practically everyone ever made guamblog famous.) But I needn’t have worried or borrowed the vest from my friends at ATF.
From the start my Sunshiney pals kept telling me how appreciated and respected they were made to feel by the BOTA team at these events. And not just by the candidates; but their supporters, as well. They weren’t kidding.
RAY & ROMEO….
Tumblr media
Nothing prepared me for the hospitality, warmth and respect extended to the GB BOTA crew. But even more astounding, to me personally, was the same treatment with which I was greeted. Person after guamblog famous person.
The most surprising acceptance - and remarkable graciousness - came from none other than Gov. Eddie Calvo and Lt. gov Ray Tenorio.
I couldn’t think of anything more surreal and humbling…until I spied in the crowd the most devoted, diehardest Gutierrez supporter, young adult advocate, former senatorial and mayoral candidate Derrick Baza Hill, of Agat.
It was a WTF moment inside a WTF moment.
Tumblr media
Gb: Derrick, wtf…?
DBH: Education. Free college tuition. It’s gotta start somewhere. Those scholarships mean everything towards the idea of providing the kind of help to our youth that I have always fought for. That’s why I’m here. I want to know more. I’m giving them a chance to convince me, because like you said before, it’s about people, our young people for me. I’m diehard Democrat. You know that. But…free tuition?? You know how much that matters to me.
Gb: >blink, blink<
DBH: I know. I know. WTF. But,my deaar…you know….we have to keep in mind what matters most. Even if it comes from the most unlikely source. Ray got my attention with the free tuition. Because, well dammit…that’s it. That is something that is important to our island and our future. What about you?
Gb: I promised my friends I’d show support for their choice. But being here, well, you see it. WTF! Were you ever treated this well?
DBH: >blink< Uh….
Gb: I know.
Suffice it to say, the ensuing shitstorm was fun to watch. But here it is folks…
When two opposing forces are compelled to put their political differences aside for a far greater concern, one must consider how WTF’s up things are.
More on this later in another post, but for now keep this in mind:
The second-highest elected official on Guam has been charged with a bevvy of misdmeanor criminal charges for a “crime” that does not exist.
No one, not even the LT, thinks his conduct at last July’s BBQ Block Party was appropriate; with many calling his actions illegal and criminal.
However, only this week, as senator Telena Nelson noted when explaining her bill to make the disarming of a police officer a felony, it is not a crime now.
Which begs the question about how is it that Tenorio has been charged with crimes that are not - crimes.
When our justice system has been so egregiously abused and perverted for political agendas, then none of us are safe. And no personal or political differences will keep me from defending the injustice being executed - because the next time it could be me. Or YOU!
ON A FAR MORE DEADLY NOTE….
Tumblr media
Despite the surreal amusement of this year’s election circus, there is a more serious WTF Moment that must be noted…with no jokes.
The Democratic Party of Guam leadership shamelessly announced that the platform of the Lou & Josh campaign is the Party’s official platform - sending shivers down the spine of countless Guam residents who oppose the in-womb murder of babies.
Island media has been conspicuously absent on the hot button social issue of abortion. K57′s fearless Phil Leon Guerrero is the only notable exception, having pointedly asked Lou Leon Guerrero in a phone interview about her views on the topic, warning that the fiery debate over abortion could make this a one-issue election.
The Neo-Cat political darling, dismissed his comments.
That was before former DOE superintendent and senator, and committed Democrat stalwart Nerissa B. Underwood chose to take a bold, personal stand on the matter and wrote the Democratic Executive Committee expressing her disappointment in the decision to embrace legal baby killing.
The wife of former congressman and retired UOG president Dr. Robert Underwood, Nerissa told the party leaders that she could not support their endorsed stnadardbearers, Lou & Josh because of their stance on the issue of abortion and would instead write in Pro-Life supporters senator Frank Aguon Jr. and Alicia Limtiaco.
In the days since, the news of Dr. Underwood’s position has gone viral, with whatsapp chat groups abuzz with talk of admiration and support for the courage shown by this amazing woman.
Tumblr media
Guamblog has long admired Dr. Nerissa B. Underwood, but that admiration soared with her recent outspoken opposition to the slaughter of innocents in the womb. This remarkable woman is set to be one of the leaders in the fight for the protection of the unborn, along with a fierce resistance from the island faithful Catholics.
Sources tell guamblog that Democrat party leader, the rather useless senator Regine Biscuit Lee snapped back at Dr. Underwood’s position by telling her that, “This is not a one issue election!”
These same sources say Dr. Underwood told Biscuit Lee that for her, “This IS a one-issue election!”
An outraged guamblog follower of the Catholic faith told wrote this morning to say, “Rory (Respicio) said last night on KUAM’s D18 that the Democrat party via Regine is grateful for Lou, and supports her gubernatorial campaign and their platform.
“That pretty much confirms the Democrat party is now a pro-abortion party. How do faithful, good Catholics close their eyes to the fact that the Church stated that abortion is non-negotiable and a sin to support, promote by voting for a candidate who is pro-abortion?”
The angry g-blog follower also noted that, “Lou’s press secretary is Therese Matanane who holds a PAID position in the Archdiocese as the KOLG station manager. How is this even possible? How long is the influential arm of Lou and her Neo-Cat support?”
END OF WTF MOMENTS, PT. 1
Tomorrow, Part 2…Fake news about “foreign influence” in Guam elections exposed and the real reason why guamblog was offline for months -

Whatever Happened with this issue?
LATE MAIL
Tumblr media
GB: You put it out there. Now, let’s see if any of our elected officials care to do anything to address your concerns. By the way, the GFD Chief is an unclassified employee who also received a substantial pay hike when Gov. Eddie Calvo and Ray Tenorio ramrodded their illegal pay raise scam through. I noticed the Public Auditor failed to address the issue of illegal pay raises for those outside of Adelup.
