You know, usually in time travel stories, one of the main protagonists goes back in time. Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru, and so on. But what if it was a completely random shinobi? Maybe not even from Konoha?
It would be one of those tens of thousands of shinobi who witnessed Obito and Kakashi's drama in the war. And a couple years after the fourth shinobi war, he was in the past. His first thought was to kill Obito, but the Kannabi mission had already happened. But Minato and Rin are still alive. That's when he gets an idea.
Now imagine Kakashi's face when some dude comes up to him and tells him that his dead teammate is alive. And not only is he alive, but he's even very willing to be rescued. How does the man know that? Madara whispered in his ear.

And one day Kakashi came to the meeting and said: maa, this is awkward, I'm sorry you weren't informed, but Obito and I are getting married this week.
Council, pointing finger at Obito (in the window), who stumbles at that exact moment, hits his nose on a pole and steps on the cat's tail: is he????

Sometimes I think Hiruzen got some kind of weird divine message at the moment of Kakashi's birth. Something like:
Hiruzen, smoking in his office: eh, my life is hard
A voice in his head, sounding suspiciously like Danzo: hey, this is the birth of the one to whom you (and the next few generations) will pass on all the problem children
Hiruzen, interested: and when can I start doing that?
Voice: in six years
Hiruzen, unhappy: eh, that's a long time to wait, but it'll do
Hiruzen, handing Kakashi to Minato at the age of five: I'm giving you a year to make him a good babysitter
Minato, shocked: excuse me?
Hiruzen, disgruntled: damn it, Minato needs a team of students to make him a good hokage, but he's also needed on the battlefield, what to do
Hiruzen, looking at Kakashi: boy, you're 6 years old now, it's time to become a chunin, the clock is ticking, someone needs to watch the kids while Minato is on the battlefield

Hiruzen, three years later: Kakashi, here's your team, these are the two most troubled kids in the village and the girl not from the clan

Sakura: we're going on vacation for the weekend

Kakashi: firstly, I'm a hokage, not a babysitter, and secondly, what kids?
Sakura: firstly, I'm the head of the hospital
Sasuke: secondly, Naruto and Hinata are coming too
Kakashi: you're all crazy
Lol, Kakashi will babysit Boruto and Sarada's kids and no one will be surprised, everyone's used to it.

I can't escape the thought that Obito specifically studied economics and politics to make life in Kiri even worse.
Book: so, to get out of the economic crisis, you need to give subsidies and....

Writing my kakaobi fic and I'm litterally going insane about the fact that Kakashi has Obito's EYE in his SKULL and evil Obito LETS HIM KEEP IT. Like there is no way he doesn't know on some level that this is dangerous for him epsecially since this eye gives them access to the Kamui Dimension TM.
He just loves him so much that he weakens himself like that. I can't.

Honestly, I'm very interested in what Obito said to Madara and Zetsu that they let him keep the eye. That's exactly what they did. I can't imagine how many times Madara and Zetsu told Obito to take Kakashi's eye. They must have had some good arguments. What the hell did Obito say to them in response????
Similar situation with Kakashi and the Uchiha clan. No seriously, under what pretext did both sides let them keep Kakashi eye?????

I need an au where Zetsu puts a seal on Obito that makes him forget Kakashi. At one point they meet up. Obito kills Kakashi and the last words Kakashi says are "Obi-to"(yes, it's ironic that both Kakashi and Rin make their last word the name of their teammate who killed them). It brings back Obito's memories. But not Kakashi.

If Obito were to enter the PureLands, the first thing he would see would not be Rin, but a line of people wanting to beat up Obito. Minato, Kushina, the Uchiha clan, Rin herself, and so on. Because Obito had ruined a lot of people's lives.
He would have gotten away with it in Kakashi's head anyway. Kakashi doesn't mind the neighborhood, and Obito's already used to it. Kakashi's personal space? What's that?
