Kusuo and Kusuke both view themselves as 'above' humanity, but in VASTLY different ways.

Kusuo looks at humans the way a benevolent God would, he helps others when it truly become necessary (either its effecting him badly, or it's someone he refuses to admit he cares for deeply) and view human beings as flawed but worth living.

Kusuke on the other hand would rather Jeff Besos his way through life, would defs put others inside an imploding submarine just to see what happens. He views humans as fragile and worthless, which just adds to his hatred of Kusuo, who he views as some perfect form of humanity that he also should be allowed to be because he's smart and wants it. Like bro was willingly going to make his grandparents insane killing machines 💀

Ultimately they can both be selfish brats, but Kusuo would sacrifice himself again and again and again to save people he claims he doesn't like (he loves them so so much, the more he complains about you the more fond he is really). He has all the power in the world and he can't get over the words of the biggest brat in the world, his brother, that keeps him thinking he is some inhuman weirdo.

Like bro you are a weirdo but you're human all the same, and thats why you have such genuine friends and people falling head-over-heels in love with you. Because you are SO HUMAN that even you, the great Saiki Kusuo, are still a victim of low self-esteem and an inferiority complex. And then characters like Aiura and Aketchi come along, and throw him for a loop, and make him have to actually think and consider outside the bubble he has neatly made for himself. I love it. I love Saiki.
