Dear Mae, the ropework always looks so so clean with your pictures here. do you have any advice for practicing?

The primary thing is do not hesitate to watch tutorials and see how other people do things. The other main factors are making sure your tension is nice and tight (within safety limitations, of course) and your knots are laying flat (no twisting into hitches). Whether your rope placement is symmetrical or not makes a huge difference as well. If you're self-tying, a mirror is your best friend. I never tie without one.

My partner loves your content and is inspired by your aesthetic in the photos. Is there any settings, or choices you make in the creative process that others can learn from?

I think one of the biggest things is figuring out what aesthetic best suits your personality and how to photograph/edit within that framework. Over time I've honed in on what equipment best suits what I'm going for (ex. I only use a 60mm lens because I like the field of range and clarity, even though it's not a practical choice for my form of photog.) and how to set up exactly what I have in mind from background color to pose. All of my photos are based around either a singular item, article of clothing (lingerie, harness, etc), tie or a general idea brought upon by my dynamic. I have also found browsing inspiration when I'm in a creative rut to help build my own ideas. It really is a personal process.
