I. lakes, ponds & rivers make him feel at ease & he has a special connection to water because he was raised by nimue, lady of the lake. not many people know this, but lancelot can manipulate water and while this ability isn’t often helpful in battle, it’s still incredibly relaxing to bend water in different shapes.. and it looks pretty.
II. he’s.. not exactly a bad father, but his duties often kept him away from young galahad for long periods of time. he’s trying to make it up to him now that he’s galahad’s mentor.
III. he knows very little of modern times. be kind to him..
IV. lancelot’s a workaholic. even when he doesn’t receive any orders, he’ll still try to make himself useful to the kingdom by eliminating monsters who have gotten too close to where people live.
V. lancelot used to have a very bad reputation.. ( because he has a son and no wife, what’s that all about..? and those red eyes.. is he a servant of the devil..? ) people thought that being around him was bad luck and there were rumors that he’s cursed. but when galahad grew up to be the most purehearted knight there is, lancelot’s bad rumors eventually died down.
VI. lancelot’s good luck charm is the aqua ring, given to him by nimue. it is said to contain the emotion of joy within it & he often wears it on his left wrist.
VII. he feels ‘normal’ when wearing his armor and hates the vulnerable feeling he gets when he takes it off. lancelot gets very anxious when he can’t hide behind his visor.
VIII. he’s under a lot of stress all the time even though he appears calm & collected. he tends to bottle up everything & then breaks down when there’s no one else around.
IX. lancelot wants to have a good relationship with his son, but he’s awful at expressing his own feelings. he’s a strict mentor & while galahad never received much physical affection or praise from his father, lancelot shows his love by buying him anything he wants & needs ( galahad’s armor definitely cost him a fortune ) the most important thing to lancelot is that his son has good opportunities in life !

✽ ┊ While Lancelot is quite used to people staring at him ( whether it's in admiration or because they've caught a glimpse of his crimson eyes ) he's almost never prepared for these.. situations his king would place him in. Nevertheless, a hand reached to grab Sonic's & he followed him to the center of the ballroom. It had.. been a long time since the black knight had danced with someone ( a lot of bad memories.. but this wasn't the time for him to start remembering. )
A sigh. "Before we begin, I should remind you there are maidens here who would be overjoyed to dance with you." Perhaps it's pointless for him to say that, but.. "You do not have to.." .. Be shy? Hm, then again he's not sure what this was supposed to be. Why him? Does his highness want to practice before finding himself a proper partner? "... My king?" Lancelot lifts his gaze to look at the azure one, his visor still hiding his confusion ( although his voice revealed he's not entirely confident. )
There's a sweet kind of paradox in Sonic — now king, and his actions. Everything he does feels... otherworldly, and that makes sense; he doesn't belong here... and he doesn't try to pretend he does, either. It was apparent the first day of his new title, and it's apparent now, in the way he's asking Lancelot to dance in a room full of proper suitors. They're staring and whispering behind their palms, but he doesn't belong here, so none of that matters.
Sonic offers a hand to his knight, upright, with a smile bright enough to rival the sun. "People are staring. Let's make it worth their while, eh?"

Oh, geez - he was about halfway out the castle before he realized he was being shadowed. Heh. Shaowed. Either way he slows in his retreat as to properly talk.
"Y'know, you can take a break to. I can stick up for myself if where I'm headin isn't your speed."
