Horngacher openly criticising Eisenbichler

Just when I was maybe starting to like him a little bit - I've never warmed to him, don't know why - he goes and openly and publicly talks about one of his athletes like that. I can't...

Horngacher: The fact he doesn't get anything done is incomprehensible to me. I haven't talked with him. He often covers up lots of things. We need to talk about where the journey is supposed to go. It's results that count, that's just how it is. It doesn't matter how many medals you've got at home.

He had a few too many problems in the summer. With his knee, he was being injured, with the job qualification. We advised him against that, that's not absolutely necessary.

I've absolutely no problem with making decisions based on facts and results. But what really gets me is: Horngacher hasn't even spoken directly with Eisei but talks about him like that in public. Also the fact they apparently told him not to get the further training and qualifications in his job (Eisei is with the police and did a course in the summer to get into a higher rank - unfortunately, at least in Germany, winter sport athletes can't really live off their sport and are often (non-working) members of the police force or the armed forces) - I find all of this so unbelievably disrespectful.
