What if Alice some time ago was also one of the Externals? But somehow managed to get herself a simple office job? Lena is unhappy, but she is unable to force Alice to do anything else. And what if Sam knows about Alice's nature and is okay with it?

Okay, okay, I have a new funny idea. What if in the world of Protocol, some abilities that are considered to be manifestations of avatars in the base world are unusual but normal here. You know, someone has two-coloured eyes, someone has grey hair, someone knows every drawer you keep cookies in, someone makes you feel dizzy, someone can disappear into the fog. It's not the 'mascot clown lives with me' level, it's casual level. And then Celia is like: "AREN'T YOU SCARED?", and Sam is like: "Pfft what's there to be scared of? Half of my teachers have spiders in their hairs"

crazy theory about Alice
I was told that the theories that were memes are always the ones that are most accurate. Well. Let's talk about meme or a crazy theory that Needles is Alice's brother. Crack that I treated seriously, okay? Let's say there was a certain boy. Let's say that he either went through the yellow door or met a strange creature, similar and unlike anyone he knew. In an another word, something strange happened. But he was not afraid and said: "Hmm. Hey, will you be my big sister? All my friends have big siblings, but I don't. I would call you Alice. You look like Alice!"So this creature went with him and pretended to be his sister, and everyone believed him, because that's what happens when the human mind is confronted with something that can influence it.
Perhaps because of the creature, perhaps by himself, perhaps because of some other force (let's say related to spiders and addiction, for example), the boy stopped being human. And what he thought was his sister, on the contrary, began to resemble a human being more and more. And so now this person, who was once not a person, says to Sam: "You better not touch things that can change you."

Why we all assume that the third voice, 'Augustus', was the voice of Jonah Magnus? Yes, it's possible, but not necessary. It could be another Archivist, it could be someone from another universe, it could be anyone.

It's time for new crazy theories. The Institute had a program for children. Some were not chose like Sam and Gerry. But there were those who were chosen. What if, for example, a boy named Jon was chosen? And, for example, a boy named Martin was chosen? And someone else. And what if they were influenced by limited horrors? Limited to, say, fourteen? A kind of mental sandbox. A generated world. And someone, let's say the head of the institute, wanted to see what would happen if he succeeded in his plans. It turned out that even the limited horrors destroyed everything. And the Archives project had to be terminated in a most dramatic way possible.

Okay. Another crazy theory
I understand that the idea of rebirths of the main pair of characters is as trivial as it gets and they would hardly go for it. But... But I can't help but feel that Sam is acting like Jon, who has a minimum of traumatic experience (there was no Mr. Spider) and Alice is acting like Martin, who has a little more confidence (something like he did in season five, when he argued and sneered at Jon, for example). So what if they are actually Jon and Martin. More precisely, they were thrown here and shaped the world around them as it could have been (which explains why Gertrude and Gerry are connected, although a repeat of events is unlikely, and why Georgie is back to podcasting) or they remade the world and broke up because, as Martin said in season five, they couldn't be together under different circumstances.

There are two possibilities: either Gertrude worked with Jerry's parents in the same way as she did in the Archives and promised to take care of him, or there is a different story here and they were brought together purely out of the authors' desire to put it in this universe for the sake of the fans. But Johnny and Alex hardly do anything by accident. So I suspect that it was Jerry and Gertrude or one of them who, for example, set fire to Hilltop in the last story. Well, as an option.

I have a crazy theory. What if the events of the Protocol ARE NOT take place in a different world or later than the story of Archives. What if they happen during the Apocalypse? We know that the domains can be large and we know that they change the perception of the victims' reality, and we know that they can contain people who suffer for various reasons. And the time for one cycle in a domain can be long. So it is possible that all the characters of the Protocol are within the domain. And some of them understand this. And someone may be the local domain owner.

I love the moment with Martin's own domain. No one says that it has existed since the beginning of the apocalypse. I have a feeling that it literally appeared after Martin got lost and then managed to get out of another domain. When he actually analysed his fear. He stopped being a prey in this world. But in the apocalypse, if you're not prey, you're a predator. It's interesting from the point of view that even in the apocalypse, people could actually change their position (and not always thanks to Jon entirely) and Basira is another example of this process. According to Jon, in some point she would get her own domain.
