I actually have no idea how my birth name is pronounced. ‘Elaina’ is very similar to ‘Alaina’ (a pretty common name in my area at least) but the only difference of course being an E. My mom says “ee-lay-nah” when speaking to me but my dad says “uh-lay-nah.” So I literally don’t know how to say my own name because nobody can ever agree on how to say it.
Yet another poll on the subject of name errors — because all things come in threes and mostly because the notes on the other polls are very intriguing. I imagine multiple answers will be true for many of us (goodness knows they are for me), but try to choose whatever feels like the most common/prevalent reason!
