A headcanon that @resoyani shared with me for Ireland, where he owned had a wolf as a buddy ever since he was a baby. His wolf buddy is kind of like him - wild, independent and untamed, but loyal and friendly.
Wolf buddy has been with his the majority of his life. However, one day he just disappeared, along with every other wolf who was hunted to extinction in Ireland during the 1700s.

Thiis!!!!
Spain is such a missed opportunity for development. His history is SO rich and convoluted. Sun and blood people!
A golden child of Rome, pagan in the most part until the 4th century. Ummayad conquest and Al-Andalus, Muslim and part of the Islamic Golden Age. North African blood still identifiable today in many Spaniards. So many scientific advancements. Reconquista, Castile and Leon. Translations of the libraries that helped spur the Renaissance but also the bloody expulsion of Muslims and Jews.
The terror of the Inquisition. "Discovery", invasion, and violent Conquesta of the Americas. The first nation on which the Sun Never Set before the abrupt loss to Britain. The Hapsburg empire. The dramatic decline of one of the greatest empires in history.
"Neutrality" during the War but really only due to a vicious Civil War . Fascism and dictatorship until 1975. Basque nationalism, the ETA, attempt at secession by Catalonia. Financial crisis.
The second most-spoken (and widespread) language in the world. Second most visited country in the world. "State of Autonomies", decentralized country. Rich and vibrant culture venerating food and dance, among other things. Achieved so much and such greatness, lost so much and such greatness.
Antonio, from a son of Rome to a student of the Caliphate, to a violent and conflicted attempt to declare for his own identity. Appears lazy perhaps, but prone to furious and deadly rage, as likely directed at his own and others. A faithful Catholic nation but unable to escape his own roots in first Paganism, then Islam.
So much traumatic fic opportunity!

England has guardianship of baby America for like max 2 months before he sends a letter to his sibling that is so casually worrisome that they practically swim across their ocean to make sure their dumbass little brother doesn't (permanently) kill their only nephew/niece
or better (worse?) yet,
A human finds baby America wondering around and sends a letter through the governor to Arthur (who has fucked off to god knows where and can't seem to be found) but his siblings intercept it and have to travel all the way to Virginia to make sure little America isn't sleeping in a bear den because their father forgot about them again

Controversial fandom take, but I don’t understand all the Scotland hate concerning his relationship with England, nor do I agree that England is in any way a victim between the two. If Scotland is bitchy towards England, let him be, he has very right to be angry and hurt. In fact, if Northern Ireland, Ireland, and Wales are bitchy towards him, good for them. I think more countries need to be angry towards England.
England was definitely a victim of his circumstances at times, but he was also a bully too.

The UK brothers have so much potential, and I really like their cultures, so it'd be great to explore that. Yet every time they appear in Hetalia I want to groan because it's always the same thing: their weird relationship with England. I feel like England himself always acts really off around them, too.
Now that they suddenly live in his house, it seems like anything with one will always forever involve the others, and I don't like that. I want them to be individuals, not a permanent package deal.
