if your response to seeing posts of Jewish people celebrating Hanukkah today is to spam those posts harassing them and calling that harassment âadvocating for Palestine,â youâre antisemitic. spitting on our holidays and faith and culture and traditions and history while hiding behind a shield of âiâm just anti-zionistâ is vile.
or, since antisemitism on its own apparently isnât a problem for some of you, maybe this will work: harassing random Jews in the name of Palestine is actively harming Palestinians by giving the Israeli government genuine antisemitism they can use to try and justify their actions.

best way I have found to comfort people who are endlessly apologetic of things outside their control (often as a result of shitty relationships) is the jokingly hyperbolic accusation of [gasp] "so you're behind it all!"
like someone giving me directions who starts apologizing profusely when I miss a light as if it's their fault--[gasp] "it was you who petitioned city council to build this intersection in 1893!!" because it snaps them out of it and they laugh like. oh yeah. that's a ridiculous thing to blame someone for. I'm not that guy. you're not that guy. it works.

warning for discord users
If you're on the app, immediately go to your dms and then "add friends". After the latest update they allow your contacts to find you and have that option turned on by default, so make sure it's unchecked!
This is very obviously not great for a multitude of reasons, but especially for people in vulnerable positions who do not want people in their contacts to see who they are on discord and/or know they have discord in the first place. I've also tried finding out if this is a thing on desktop but haven't been able to find any mention of it, so either it's not a "feature" (yet) or they've hidden it. Either way, stay safe, and turn off finding friends via contacts!
