I can be a player too, not just a forever DM!
This is Ash my sweet baby gorgeous, he's a shadar-kai phantom rogue. Honestly with his design, I really just wanted to push his racial features into a more fey-esque appearance since he does come from the Shadowfell. So! Feathers, sharp teeth, and pitch-black eyes!
As always I'm not quite certain what I want his armor to be, but I know I want him to have a cloak, rather than the collar being lined with fur it is lined with black feathers. I also wasn't able to give him all of his facial piercings but let's just say he could be taken out by a big magnet.

Creative Writing and D&D
I've found myself using more and more of my creative writing techniques for drabbles that introduce plot points for my players. Narrative storytelling is honestly what keeps them engaged in my lore.
Our Summary channel in our Discord has quickly become a spot where I type up little segments to introduce them to the situation/setting/you name it.
As proud as I am of some of these I think I'll honestly share them on my writer blog @mellowdemons as drabbles at some point because genuinely combining my passions is a great tool. It is also exceptionally helpful if you're like me and struggle with improv (that feels almost sinful to say as both a theatre major and a forever DM). Being able to end a session and then using my creative freedom in the time between sessions to perfect a word picture is a saving grace and I wish I had started doing it years ago lmao
