"Cheza ..."

His voice was shallow, raspy. Proof of a species so unused to speaking, especially for him. But her- he'd say a thousand words for this flower- his paradise- even if it only conveyed through her name.

The night was brisk where they sat, alone in the mountains, with the full, bright moon shinning down on them. He rested, sat in front of her, with his back reclining into her arms. His head resting in her lap, weighing down like led after the days they spent traveling. He was a coarse individual, wildly unkempt and so set on bearing the world's weight on his own hide, and yet... those delicate fingers of hers brushing through his hair made him feel light. As if he were floating in her presence, in the sea of stars above them. His eyes were heavy, but they couldn't wander from her. He stared at her smile, watched the moonlight dance in her eyes. He was mesmerized, completely enslaved by the flower he lived for.

Hours could have passed, and he'd be none the wiser. Her words melting into him over time as he soaked it all in. As every muscle in the warrior's body relaxed. A mirage of a hand lifted up, his own fingers just barely dragging down along her cheek. To his content, she nuzzled into it, which twitched a smile into the corner of his never-moving lips.

This could be his paradise.

"Nothing will ever happen to you- not on my life. I swear."
