Honestly be pretentious as fuck about the stuff you create. Do a press release for your fanfic updates. Do a Q&A about your webcomic. Make fake merch designs for your OCs. Commission "official" book covers. Very few of us will ever get to a stage where something we've created Makes It Big but even if you have an audience of 5 people plus a shoelace fucking indulge yourself and pretend!! It's the only way to live!!

coming out of my cave to share you guys recent news: i like merula now
i feel like i havenβt given paula (and merula) the best treatment, so i decided to work on them, and i realised what a marvelously toxic gay no homo relationship they have.
i can't really work with merula and candy because she wouldn't really speak to her. she's afraid of merula so she tends to avoid her at all cost, but paula doesnβt so there could be something in there that can work!
they'd start as enemies, slowly warming up to the other after rakepick chooses them as appretices in year 5, until they become not best friends but something else, like really close partners. something good for the other, i hope π
i'm working on some drawings (for weeks), and they're still not done, but they're on their way!
in the meantime i'm going to class because i'm running late-

Barnaby sat in his grandmother's huge house, overwhelmed by grief and sadness from the loss of a loved one. Who cared and loved in his own way, even if that woman was not sentimental. Keira knew and did not want to leave him alone in difficult moments, he came to her when she was hard and in pain, now it was her turn.
Barnaby heard the knock of the front door, opening it, he saw her. He wanted to smile, but he didnβt want to and it was wrong at the moment. He just made a gesture to her that he was pleased that she was here now.
-Hello...I wasn't expecting you, but I'm glad you're here...
Seeing the state he was in, Keira squeezed him in her arms, expressing support and affection. Barnaby remained confused for several seconds, and then hugged her back, burying his nose in her ashen braid, tears flowing treacherously from his eyes.
-I'm sorry for your loss...You're not alone, Barnaby.
After these words, Barnaby's fingers squeezed her body tighter, and his breathing became noticeably faster. He was grateful that she was with him now, for supporting him... She became his close person over the past years, he is mentally grateful to fate for this witch.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard
Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.
Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.
Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.
Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.
SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.
SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.
Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.
Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.
Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.
Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.
Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.
