Today is his birthday, even if unofficially so. He is the best man, and I still adore him to this day. I am glad to draw traditionally and in colour once again.

I should have reblogged this earlier, because this idea is so good! I don't think I have seen such an AU Elemental concept before. It is a great mix in a way, and something that greatly convinces me. Sadly, I do not know if I could write a good in-depth story about this, but I may try someday.

We’ve seen AUs where Wade and Ember had swapped elements and personalities. There are some where their relationship doesn’t work out, they meet each other differently, or—in a darker sense—one of them doesn’t come back.

So how about this? An Elemental AU where Wade and Ember had…swapped parents

In other words, they’re adopted.

Think about it! Water being raised by Fire and Fire being raised by Water. The dynamics had changed and certain scenarios are played out differently, but they still get together in the end. But more importantly, there’s no hidden twist where their adoption is a coincidence, meaning that the Lumens aren’t related to Ember and the Ripples aren’t related to Wade in this AU.

What do you think? I’d like to see some writers out there who can tackle this idea.

I just found this post now... and I am glad I did. Your many reasons for loving Wade are agreeable and appreciative. Every little bit of support he has shown Ember only expresses his great character. How much patience and perseverance he has for someone he loves to succeed and truly live.

Thank you for such a heart-warming list of reasons to love Wade.

things i wanted to add to the "things i noticed in elemental after watching it too many times" list but they didn't really fit bc they're just hot things wade does

"You must have been so scared..." oh my GOd I know this is a lovely scene and Ember's backstory and poor cute little baby Ember and dang it those water people for not allowing her in the garden to see the tree but holy HELL my man did not need to say that in this tone of voice with empathy so pure that it came through the screen to give me a warm hug and a kiss on my forehead ughhshshhskfodj

The fricking LOOK that he gives Ember for 1/2 second before the camera cuts back to her, after asking her out. The puppy dog eyes. The dorky fricking bashful smile. He knows what hes doing. He needs to stop.

The crying game. "Sounds like a challenge >:3"

"But I got you a hat :D"

The entire underwater vivisteria scene pretty much.

Also when Ember is in his family's house and he very closely watches her to make sure no water touches her in the water filled house??

Omg how can I forget the meeting scene, fhsidjdjsjlookadababy hes trying his best and awwwmsjfjdk

Not quite hot but when he shakes himself back into a watery blob when he rises out of the water and then he looks up and goes "that's better" his expression is frickinv hilarious and idk why

When they burst out of the water after the vivisteria scene and Wade starts to apologize profusely for accidentally putting Ember in danger

When he hypes up Ember when she's all humble about her glass molding skill

When he hands her the glass flower and tells her that it's special

The confused and/or intrigued look after Ember asks about the [game]"passes? Plural?"

"Toot toot!"

That one part where he accidentally calls Ember hot and smoking and is desperately trying to explain what he actually meant and then Ember's just like "are you done yet?" and he just whimpers, "yes please" lmfaooo

The part where he makes a rainbow

Oh god I almost forgot the part where he helps Ember hold the door for a minute in the flood scene and he's standing over her and they're all happy to see each other and hes happy that hes there to help keep her safe

I love your many drafts and how you draw the Elemental AU. And that caption of Wade being happy for once... it is too cute and sad. I wish to make him happier. They also look so fun to look at and possibly draw. I hope to draw them myself someday.

Under the cut has eye gore!! Be careful when viewing! It's what's under Wade's eye bandages <3 (and what happened to his eye)

Long story short, there was an attack, and the arrow got his eye (yikes) and this arrow actually exploded and freezes over whatever it touches! (Double yikes)
