My studio is in the corner of my living room in my tiny apartment. I work standing at an easel. Space is limited. Recently, I began taping my "palette paper" (what I clean my brush on before I give it a bath) directly to my palette, which I leave propped on my easel. (This varies depending on the size of my work and if I'm filming for my online workshops.)
I eventually turn these papers into books that I draw, paint and collage on. I love having these playful, visual reminders of my palette.

Working artists...gotta work!
I know things are tough out there for a lot of folks (myself included.) I greatly appreciate any and all support.

Thinking about finding the beauty in the every day.

This is a sample for next Friday's painting session in the Art Life Workshop. I held off on drawing and painting fabric because I didn't have the confidence. Well, things don't get done if you don't try. This is what happens when you try and fail and try and fail and try again.
As Beckett once said, “Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.”
