I scared a bunny today.
I tried to offer a pretty petal, but my heavy footsteps scared it more.
It made me feel like a monster, a beast, but,
If I were the bunny,
If I were that small,
I'd be scared of me too.
A trodden on bird nest lay in the middle of the culdesac road
I look down at it with my feelings mixing together like hazy watercolors.
I hope it is no longer of use
I hope it protected who it was supposed to.
The nest seems to pretty to throw away.
Maybe it's keepers will want it back someday.
