Mind: blown. I just learned that exactly ZERO old paper maps featured the phrase "Here be Dragons". No, not even in Latin. On top of that, the phrase is only known to have existed on ONE way-finding artifact: the Hunt-Lenox Globe (built in 1510). More at The Atlantic’s article.

Everything about this. (How *labor intensive* this must have been to make!) Also: obviously made for 1969 attention spans.
