Karma just shrugs at Ellis' remark. Threats have always worked for her. Threats got her respect in her tribe after coming late in and being judged by being raised by her father who never had any connection to the tribe. "But, what about their sister?" Karma remarked. The whole you can't save everyone wasn't a mindset she had. "She's stuck out there somewhere..."
"Or they won't be intimidated by the threat and we end up in some deep unnecessary shit." Ellis remarked. "No shit they won't last, but they're on their own. We have other things to worry about that don't include running after hags who mind you sold us some very helpful items back at the grove."

Karma laughed, but the laugh hurt. In her quest to become a famous hero, starting to fall for someone wasn't on her to do list. Not like this, not this hard. Gale was like the moon to her. He calmed the heat inside of her. He was beautiful, calming, mysterious. Yet there were some nights that Gale was hidden from her. Like a crescent moon. With that, Karma took it as hiding from her. Feelings change, right? Even a feeling that she never felt so strong before had to fade like the moon. But it always came back.
Karma stopped with a casual look as he calls her name. Then her face turned into stone, trying not to crack under the pressure of her moon. "...Then what do you welcome?"
Oh that smile nearly knocked the wizard over. She was like the sun; burning bright and passionate and bringing warmth to those she was near. At least, she warmed him with her presence. Gale was shamed to admit that it had taken her showing him her desires through the Weave to address what had been swelling in his chest. His feelings for her. He was a brilliant man, or he liked to think so, he tried to be rational. They had a very pressing matter in front of them - they could do with emotions after. But emotions didn't wait. They did not care they were in chaos; they were here. All of the emotions he'd been keeping at bay even before the nautiloid. Her change in expression left an ache in his chest worse than the orb.
"Karma-" Gale frowned. That laugh - that was not real. She had laughed genuinely a moment before, this was her brushing it off. "We're not just allies." He shook his head. "I said it was not unwelcome."

Even though he smirks back at her, his smirk pulled at her heart strings. Karma had seen a smirk like that many times. It was the smirk of someone who'd gone through the hells. Her green and blue eyes meet his orange. She breathed out and frowned a bit. Losing all those people like that. Karma couldn't imagine it. The barbarian wished things were different. She really wished that they could've accompany them here. Maybe things would've been different. But, luck wasn't in their favor. "I wish so too," Karma said in an honest tone, "I'm really sorry. For all your loss. It's unfair."
"I don't know what I know anymore." Ikaron admitted, but her smirk was met with a non-hostile expression. It was all he had in him. She was not the desired target for his ire; truthfully he had found himself in the moment of the massacre wishing her and her misfit band of saviors had been there. They could've saved them where he failed, and others abandoned. "Has it?" Time seemed to stand paralyzingly still here. Finally orange eyes turned towards her. "Likewise... wish it had been sooner."

listen... i do love how confident karma is. karma doesn't really get jealous easily, is very confident in her looks and her abilities to contribute to the party. that being said, this is no way of me trying to brag about how confidence she is. b
ecause... sometimes home girl can think she's the bees knees and all that when it's like 'karma.....please be quiet and let someone else handle this.' and this is what has gotten her and the party in trouble before.
she DEF gets humbled in act one some of the battles in a way that's needed for her to remind her that she can't run into everything confidently.

all the characters have positive character development throughout the game. karma is very high strung on anger and violence, obsessed with being a hero, and can be extremely combative throughout the acts. by the end of bg3, there is a whole different side of karma. she is still her barbarian self but karma embraces her feminine side, can be sweet and has learned how to be gentle. the party taught her what it means to be gentle and the satisfaction in that.

in my playthrough, karma had astarion in her party when she meets araj in moonrise towers. through out their time together, astarion and karma form a very sarcastic friendship where they are constantly bickering. they refuse to acknowledge how much they like one another (only as friends). astarion kind of is intimidated and knows how scary karma can get. karma can get annoyed with his perspective on certain things through out the game. but meeting araj, karma did not hesitate to get extremely threatening with her. you can see in that moment, astarion really did express how he needed her.
also found that fanart and was dying considering it looks like karma.
