Rock In Rio 2022

It has been a year since documenting any tangible project. I took an amount of years to travel light with a backpack that I gave up on some of my camera equipment around the globe. A tri-pod in India, a lense and a flash in Berlin and my original body in Toronto. I had so much fun documenting Jazzy Battle at Rock in Rio. I have a deep admiration for the dancing community. Most of them are self taught artists with the discipline of an athlete and the spirit of a hustler. Hope this photographs honours their community and the talent each of them carries within. thank you to all the break dancers, instructors at Jazzy @breakinglx @rockinrioportugal @whothefuckisruben for the amazing opportunity. 

Once upon a Surrogate -

I met with Nile and Edward, this beautiful couple was expecting their first child via Surrogacy. On a sunday morning, We met a BrickWorks, a beautiful heritage space in Toronto. During the photo session I got the opportunity to learn of their love and sacrifices. this was their second time trying to conceive a baby via surrogacy. They wanted to create a photo session to commemorate the wonderful baby news. During this photo session, I was able to see how difficult not only for the couples but also for the surrogate mothers. It was a wonderful growing experience doing  this photo session.   

KRISTA MADISON - Wild series

When Krista spoke to me about her vision. Making a video with pictures. I immediately welcome the challenge and I also knew that working with Krista would be a delightful experience. She is an actress from Canada, an incredible positive women. We had a great time shooting this photo session. JAKE MICHAELS - into the Woods

I met Jake Michaels through a collaboration I did with another actor. Jake is a Canadian actor and writer. It is always wonderful when drama and photography meets. I like how actors are very open to express emotions during a photo session. thank you Jake Michaels!

Ryerson University - Julia Hanigsberg 

Social Media Strategist Lina Duque invited me to be part as a photographer on an interview for the Globe and Mail with administraiton and finance at Ryerson University, Julia Hanigsberg. As someone looking to always collaborate with career business women. Miguel Jacob - Why not?

The enormous respect and admiration I have for Miguel Jacob, as a Photographer. Brought me to this photo essay. I invited Miguel to meet with me for a small candid photo session. At that time, I was starting with my own photography studio. I knew I wanted to photograph the community of artist in Toronto. For many years I saw the work of Miguel Jacob either through exhibits, or through magazines. I admire his professionalism, he has created a photography work with its own signature. One of the most important lessons I learned from Mr. Jacob that day is not to be afraid. in his words “Why not” you gotta always follow your passion. I thank you Mr. Jacob for meeting with me and giving me a moment of true inspiration. 

LILIA & WILLIAM No gifts just LOVE

A wedding is a ceremony day where a couple is united in marriage. The greatness of a wedding is not valued in the extravagance of a white dress, neither the expensiveness of a hall. Documenting Lilia and William’s wedding was a true romantic experience. They celebrated their wedding where their Love began. Lilia and William, both academics and incredible loving people, met while attending University of Toronto. The University halls where their civil ceremony and dinner took place have been private historical spaces. It was an honour Lilia and William. Thank you!      

BRIO - Marketing Campaign

Canadian Designer Amanda Kali Bent who at that time was working on an advertising project with Brio Canada invited me to create an advertising photo shoot that communicates the history and richness of Brio’s Italian soft drink products. 

Family Stories - 1+1=2

It is always a privilege to photograph the story of a family as they continue growing and getting older. As a photographer I feel always compel to tell the story as honest as possible. I am very fortunate the people that commissions my photography services that allows me to get inside their homes and souls.  

Just Married! 

Dan & MJ’s wedding have been probably one of the most fun weddings I had ever done as a photographer. When MJ and Dan hired me to be their photographer. I was excited because I enjoy to the max shooting outdoors. Although, I have never advertise myself as a wedding photographer, neither I have packages and all that. I really knew this could be a Love celebration photo story I could portrait. 130 guests, a ceremony divided in two parts, a rainy day. After all, it was a destination wedding, surrounded by a forest. In the beautiful Muskoka. I swear. I did experience the LOVE energy and at night I spotted one of the most beautiful Nights full of shooting stars. Thank You MJ and Dan. 

T. DOT BATU

"T.Dot Batu" Batucada band from Toronto, Canada. It is impossible you have never seen them playing in Toronto. Pato Irie, Canadian-chilean musician is the leader of the band, he and his band agreed to collaborate together on a photo essay. We met during a cold day on spring. regardless we did manage to capture the essence of the group which is the love for playing the drums and having Fun. I enjoy and love to support the community with my photography work. I wish them all the best.  

ATELIER - Liisa Morton

Liisa Morton, carries all her vintage cameras on her as you see her on this photo essay. She is an amazing Photographer who I had the pleasure to meet during an art show. Her style is pure black and white vintage. Thank you Liisa for opening the doors of your creative working space. You are an inspiration.

My first Year

Yulia and Evgueni invited me to their home once again to commemorate with my photography their first year son birthday. It is nice to create stories where I can portrait candid moments. it is nice to capture real moments of happiness. Thank you Yulia and Evgueni. 

Para toda la Vida

I met Julyanna, when I was 4 years old. Although, I left Lima at a very young age. We are still Amigas. On one of my trips to Lima, Julyanna mentioned to me that she is getting married and this is when we decided to put this photo essay together. I always wanted to shoot in another country and I finally got my chance to do it. With this photo essay. I honour my friend’s Love and our friendship. Muchas gracias amiga bella!

Vienna, wonderful woman, and a very talented Toronto actress and model. She wanted to work together on a photo session that portraits her and brings the audience closer to the actor’s heart. Thank you Vienna. It was wonderful collaborating together. 

BREATHE - Juliana Semenova

Juliana, Is a Yoga instructor and an Animal Protector. While doing this photo essay I was sad to learn that even in a beautiful city like Toronto, animal cruelty still exist. With this photo essay, Juliana and I, want to remember everyone to take one day at a time. Connect with yourself and Breathe!.
