The rifle was him, and he was the rifle.
Bladedancers ravaged the Fallen ranks as blades of blinding, brilliant Arclight severed limb from body.
Voidwalkers deconstructed reality, twisted it, turned it into something deadly and set it upon their foes with warbling wrath.
Strikers struck the snow-covered ground like human artillery, leaving Captains broken and walkers torn asunder.
And Eli? He watched and he waited.
A Ward of Dawn shattered under scorch cannon fire, its Defender fell to electrified steel. A Devil’s Baron raised his blade sky high and bellowed a war cry. An attempt to capitalize on the momentum and force a push towards the City, perhaps.
The rifle was him, and he was the rifle. Its body was his arm, its scope was his eyes. He inhaled life, and exhaled death.
The frigid air filled his lungs, and the Light within him surged. His rifle ignited, and when he fired the sun itself laid waste to his foes.
