this is so amazing op i love this and i didn't even realize that the panopticon is in the prisoners verdicts,, wowgh.. the audience being only the anonymous profile picture for most socmeds... they're directly looking at them to,, the chromatic aberration being in the innocent and guilty colors,, smart.

wait, they become a little bit more saturated when they're facing the audience,,, you're so smart op what the hell.

the contrast between the whole piece and the text really makes it stand out.. i love it. and also their over all body movement feels so limited and robotic.

My brain is still in Es-Amane situationship mode (es quest my darling wait for me I’ll finish you soon…) and my brain is going Es Timekeeper and then Amane as the assistant ala Sonneto. But unlike Vertin and Sonneto where Sonneto is the good doggo and Vertin is the rule-breaker curious of the outside. It’s Amane who’s the rule-breaker curious of the outside, and Es is the super proper best student.

So Amane does the all the funky rebellion stuff while Es looks over like “*sighs* I wish I had an identity and sense of personhood but no I must Follow the Rules and be a Attachmentless Soldier” but at the end of it all Es saves Amane from getting Reversed, and it fucks the both of them up for ages.

Sidenote: I suppose in this situation Jackalope would be Constantine? I wonder if in this situation Jackalope wanted to see if Es would follow orders fully (let them all die) or if they would do something. Making saving Amane the proof that Es isn’t the perfect attack dog they want them to be.

the silliest kids go to school (kamiyama high)

i remember trying to think of a story about them together with another person helping.. basically, they go to school and an greets them in the front gates, amane responds with saying her name and es leaves without saying a single word. they go to their class and amane tries to preach about her teachings and es stopped her. amane got angry and poured gasoline all over the class and takes a match from her bag. she makes a little summoning ritual thing and puts es as the sacrifice, they dont gaf. amane takes matches from her bag, turns them on, and put them around each corner of the ritual circle. one of the matches became imbalanced and fell to the gasoline pool, causing the class and the whole school to burn down. all the students rush to go outside meanwhile amane is still preaching about her teachings and es got up just to sit beside her and drink apple juice. one of the students called the police and they went to juvenile jail. wow. what were we think wth.

SO MUCH TO ANALYSE??!!!!! I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START... i'll start with es first.

es

they're sitting inside the overflowing bath tub with their face half in. their nose is under water which is one of the many ways to kill yourself (drowning). they have little hair pins on their hair. there's two in the shape of stars, or 4-pointed stars to be more specific. 4-pointed stars are meant to be a symbol of truth, hope, and spirit, it could also mean good luck in someones career/job. since the stars are black, they mean the opposite. it'll mean distrust, confussion, and death. moving on to the next pin. there's a double diamond pin, double diamonds usually symbolize reconciliation. since its black it means the opposite, which is estrangement. last one, there's a triple pin with an X and double lines. this sort of looks like a roman numeral, which is 12. technically, if you count jackalope as part of the panopticon clock, he will be the 12th. considering the xii is the largest pin, it references jackalope being more in control of their life more than anything. moving on (god that was just pins..). they are holding the extraction boxes from undercover, presumably their own. its one of the objects that are not drowning in the abyssal water. im not sure if im looking at it wrong but do i see a jackalope doll beside them? that jackalope doll is the only object that is completely drowned in the abyssal water, implying they want to forget about him < although the pins imply he is still roaming in their mind.

outfit (including the past and present)

the past outfit is a middle school outfit, the male school outfit. what made me highlight this is because the middle school outfit is the males outfit, a masculine outfit. meanwhile their present outfit is a dress and a sleeved top, a feminine outfit. i think this highlights about their loss of identity, especially their gender identity. their whole entire past has been ripped away from them making them not know what their previous and biological gender is. this makes them have huge issues and confussion on what they're supposed to identify, so they identify as none. alot of people with no gender often face judgement from the crowd, that's probably the reason we have a high camera view on them (more specifically a birds eye view). have the camera angle above the subject makes them look more inferior and weak compared to the viewer. this is referencing the majority of people overlooking and even looking down on nbs. even if they still wanted to identify as a biological male but still wear more feminine or androgynous clothing, they'll still get heavily judged by people. thats why the present clothing is getting swallowed by the abyssal water.

objects soaked in water

the objects under water are heavily connected to their warden duty. there's an interrogation paper that is ripped apart, referencing how they hate their job and refuse to continue. there's a stack of papers that are connected to each other (?). i might be over thinking but i think the reason they are connected is because its referencing how their work is literally physically impossible to endure. im just assuming that the papers are glued together. when paper is glued, they are really hard to rip apart without ruining any papers. if they force it, it'll rip and get ruined, that'll equal for them to get punished. if they leave it be, they're ignoring their work, that'll equal for them to get punished. no matter what they do, they'll always become the black sheep and be blamed for it (that explains the over all black and dark color scheme). there's their warden hat, although its barely touching the surface of the water. this references the fact they are still clinging to their only confirmed sense of identity, being a warden. their hat is under the shelf and getting blocked by shadow, referencing how their work is overlooked on and under appreciated. their warden sash is halfway drenched in the abyssal water. the runes are untranslatable because its literally soaking wet. this could reference how they have a unique way of expressing their pain (lashing out to themselves and/or others) making others not understand them or even to the point of demonizing them.

oh, my, god. theres a photo stand that has 3 people in it. there's 2 tall figures on each side with a short one in the middle. im guessing it's es' family. es is obviously the child in the middle, their photo is not stained at all, it is pure. their parents on the other hand.. their parents have their face scribbled out with white markers or ripped off. i think its referencing the fact that they have lost all memories of their past so they wont remember their parents name, age, and even face. or it could be a different reason which is also logical. it might be implying that they hated their parents before and forced themselves to forget about them for good (forced amnesia). IS THAT A RED GERBERA OR IS THAT A ROSE. if it's a red gerbera then, red gerberas symbolize unconscious love or to be fully immersed and surrounded by love. because the flower is getting covered by the shadow, it means they are NOT surrounded by love at all. if it's a red rose then, red roses symbolize passion and communicates love. because the flower is covered by the shadow, it means they CANNOT comunicate their love correctly because of their warped perception of love (< caused by milgram or even mahiru's crime). the fact that there's only 1 really shows how almost no one in the world truly cares about them, most of the prisoners see them as someone scary or just water them down as some warden. even though most of them are like that, there are some prisoners that understand them and try to treat them like a real human being (ex: muu). that's why there's only 1 flower in the glass.
