some tips for people willing to leave the “don’t reblog from bad blogs >:(” crowd and actually have fun on this stupid site:

1) go hard at first. like, find a blocklist and reblog 20 posts you like from those users in a row. tell people straight up that you no longer give a shit. this helps to weed out followers fast. you want the easily offended people to think you’re a lost cause and leave.

2) do not defend yourself or give serious answers to any accusations. you’re dealing with people who cannot be reasoned with so don’t try to explain yourself to them. either ignore or mock anyone who comes complaining. be unapologetic and act like it’s no big deal (because it really isn’t a big deal).

3) if you want the drama to be absolutely minimal, turn off your askbox and messages for a while, and block people. if you’re the anxious type, the easiest path is to just remake.

4) make new friends. you can bond with people over this experience. don’t be too trusting though, there are plenty of assholes in the other camp too.
