Hello Hazel! How about Kaeya with someone who finds out they're actually lonely (because all of their friends have partners and they are the only ones who dont) and they are not handling the realization well.
-❄
You knew, funny that you always knew but never really allowed yourself to admit it. The knowledge settled in the back of your mind, it lingered in the deep breaths you took to still yourself, it buzzed in your heart no matter how much you tried to drown out the noise. What you tried so hard to ignore, what you smiled away with reassuring words of, “no, it’s okay. I’ll be fine,” couldn’t stop your eyes from seeing what your heart didn’t want to feel.
It was debilitating, the observations that you made and how they, little by little, became far to difficult to ignore. Friends who you cherished, laughs that you had from inside jokes so deep it was hard to find the root of them anymore. Interactions that made you feel warm and listened to started to feel like sheets of papers left to compost in the garden. Several relationships dwindled; fewer and fewer until one day, it was only you.
A single lonely flower that no one wanted to claim.
“Well, well. Isn’t this an unexpected surprise.” A lush voice drifted down to you. Lifting your attention from the beckoning ground, you noticed the black boots and form fitting pants which directed you upward until you saw who was standing before you. Kaeya, with his hand on his hip, gave you a curious expression but you didn’t have the energy to give him one back. Instead, you let your eyes fall to your hands and pushed your nail into the pad of your finger. “No response today, that’s unusual.”
“I’m not in the best of moods right now, Kaeya.” You felt his energy shift and soon he was sitting next to you. The large windmill in the small garden continued to move even if, for a time, the conversation didn’t. The heat from the sun warmed your shoulders, pushed against your back until it became to uncomfortable you had to adjust and, when you looked up the path of vines stretching toward the sky, you sighed. “Kaeya …”
“Mmm?”
“Do you … do you get lonely?”
He chuckled, shifting his position to look at you but keeping his ankle locked onto his knee. “Not as often as you might think. I have plenty of people to bother me.” He spoke the last bit almost like an annoyance but it didn’t seem directed at you.
“Makes sense. I’m sure someone like you couldn’t possibly feel lonely …”
“Now, I wouldn’t say that.” He acted like he was going to continue, but you cut him off before he could. Your head moving to glance at him while your mouth turned into a frown.
“Am I unlikeable?” The way his eyebrows furrowed made your stomach unsettled and caused the words in your throat to spill out like a defensive shield. “There must be something about me that’s off-putting, right? Is it the way that I am or who I am? Is it … the way that I look?” Your jaw quivered, forcing you to turn away and bite your lip.
“Now hold on, what’s with this line of questioning?”
“Am I so unloveable that I’m destined to be alone?” A frustrating tear spilled from the corner of your eye and you pushed it away in the hopes that Kaeya didn’t see. It was unlikely since he was always able to see things even with half his ability taken by an eyepatch.
“Hey, wait a second.” He moved and so did you. The sound of his foot settling back onto the ground and shifting material under him as he adjusted caused you to slide away from him, but there was only so far to go on a bench of this size.
“Kaeya please, leave me alone … everyone else already has …” The sturdiness of your voice cracked and your hand moved to hold it together, fingers pushing against your throat and jaw as if to stop any shards from falling free. In an effort to hide, you turned away from him hoping that he would drift away into the wind but praying to Barbados that he wouldn’t.
“Y/N,” His normally playful tone turned soft and sincere. It wasn’t what you expected but desperately what you needed. “Something has taken your smile, tell me what it was.”
“I’m … I’m all alone, everyone has moved on to someone and here I am … still here like I’m stuck in place.” Turning your head sharply to him you gazed into his face and huffed at the expression he held. “What about me, Kaeya?” Your shoulders rose as you shook your head, a warm tear drifting down your cheek. “Why am I still alone?” You sputtered.
“You aren’t alone.”
“I’m am. I’m unbelievably lonely …”
“Well then,” He began, sliding closer to you so his arm could rest against the back of the bench and his thumb could push away your tears. “Come be lonely with me.”
You broke. Somehow the acknowledgment, the breakthrough and the confirmation that you were lonely made your weak composure shatter. Still, you felt lighter somehow as you cried onto Kaeya’s outstretched arm. As you gripped onto his clothes and felt his hand run over your hair. As you adjusted and felt the proximity of his knees bumping into yours. Yes, you were lonely, but so was he and, together, you managed to find company.
A single lonely flower finally picked by hands who knew it’s name.

ayayayya i wanna see how flustered kaeya gets when i just randomly blurt out that i love him
catch him off guard, make him flustered.....i adore flustered kaeya
You lifted your head off of the table and huffed to no one in particular. Work felt like a trap. No matter how often you checked the clock, time moved far too slowly for you.
“I wanna go home.” You sighed, dropping your head into your hands until the sound of the bell told you someone was there to pull you away from your wish to not be here. You’re only making it worse, you groaned before smiling and asking them how you could help.
When you finished cleaning up, the sound of the door locking behind you made you smile but when you took in the fresh air of Mondstadt you had a mission to accomplish and no time to waste. Quickly, you made your way through the streets as if there was nothing else in your brain but seeing the one man who could recharge your empty reserves.
Smiling and waving to the people, the guards, and even the animals that wandered around Mond, you turned and began your final stretch toward the knights headquarters. If you got lucky, you would be able to alleviate any boredom gained throughout the day. The two of you were far more similar than you expected.
The entrance hall was always uncomfortably empty, even with the standing guards in almost every corner. You half expected to find the whole building void of people, like it was abandoned, but you knew that most knights were out on patrol, going through recruitment training or dealing with things the citizens didn’t need to know about.
Luckily for you, it didn’t take long to see a familiar face.
“Y/N!” Cried a lovely, spirited voice from behind you. When you turned you threw on a grand smile just in time to scoop up the young girl into your arms.
“Hiya, Klee.” You beamed, hoisting her into the air and accepting her welcoming hug.
“What are you doing here?” She asked, her tiny hands resting on your shoulder as she waited for your answer.
“Oh, well I’m looking for Kaeya, have you seen him?”
“KAEYA!” The pitch and joy in her voice skyrocketed at his name. The brightness in her eyes flashed like tiny bombs and you couldn’t help but laugh. “Big brother Kaeya said he’d be back later to play with Klee.” She explained.
“Really, well then where has he gone and why is he making you wait so long?”
“I don’t know, but Klee would like to see him soon.”
“Why don’t you tell me when he left and I’ll try and drag him back.”
She thought for a moment, her little finger tapping her lip. It seemed like a familiar behavior, something a quiet alchemist might do. “He left a bit ago, but Klee doesn’t really remember.”
“That’s okay.” You smiled to reassure her before letting her slide back to the ground. “I’ve got some special ways to get his attention.” You stuck out your pinky finger toward her, “I promise I’ll bring him back.”
“Okay!” She shouted, her little gloved finger curling around your own. You watched her run down the hall and toward the stairs before turning yourself to leave. Kaeya couldn’t have gotten too far.
You made your way up to one of the best vantage points in the city, eyes scanning the streets and alleyways until finally you caught sight of something. The deep blue like a precious sapphire flashed in the light and you, in your high energy state, shouted to get his attention.
“KAEYA!” The strength of your lungs vibrated at the calling of his name. You felt your vocal chords stretch and strain but when your eyes opened and you noticed Kaeya looking toward you, you knew his attention was captured. You waited for a bit, until he got close, and the two of you began to shout back and forth not carrying about the annoyance to others.
“And just what, exactly, are you doing up there!” He asked, his hand cupping his lips to project his voice better.
“Waiting for you!” You laughed at his ‘well of course’ gesture and watched him climb the stairs. The lovely way that he moved, the intensity of your feelings for him bottled up inside your chest until it was near bursting. Dipping behind the stone barrier, you tried to steady yourself but it seemed Klee had done more than give you insight as to where Kaeya had gone, she also placed a simmering bomb in your chest.
With a deep inhale, you lifted yourself onto the stones, hands pushing and feet stretching to their toes to help you shout the words you’d always wanted to tell him.
“KAEYA! I LOVE YOU!” A gust of wind pushed past you, flower petals and other bits of the garden whirled their way across the city. You grinned and found Kaeya standing frozen in a sea of giggling and embarrassed faces.
He looked up at you but you couldn’t make out his expression. It didn’t matter because the one on your face was for the both of you now.
“DON’T YOU DARE MOVE!” He shouted before taking off into a wild dash toward the fastest path to your side.
Giddiness radiated through you as you watched him run up the steps, nervousness shook your legs and fingers as he drew near, and love, love from the arms of your one and only lifted you into the air so you could soar.

kaeya comforting his s/o as they break down in his arms?
The heavy bag that dug into your shoulder fell with a rumbling thump onto the floor of your apartment. Your shoes which had been digging into the back of your ankle all day finally found a home wherever you tossed them. You were far to exhausted to give them more than a passing wave as you made your way to your bedroom and to the bed which never abandoned you. The sheets smacked into your face, blanket flopping partially over your legs as you came down with great force against them.
“Uuuuugh.” You groaned, sliding your hands under your face so you could breathe but somehow still avoid the pressures of taunting walls and unfinished tasks. A heavy sigh coated your palms, the heat warming your hands, cheeks, strands of your hair.
“I’m ba- .. Y/N?” A voice called out to you and it seemed in your exhaustion you’d forgotten you’d promised to spend time with Kaeya. If you had any strength left you would have dashed down the hall to see him, but how could you show him a face riddled with shame. “What is this?” That sweet, inquisitive tone called from the doorway. What face was he making, a pitiful one you were sure. “Did you forget about me, how cruel.”
Adjusting, you rolled slightly onto your side and curled into yourself, eyes drifting to Kaeya just enough to really take in the fact that he was here. “I’m sorry …” There was nothing in your tone, no positive or negative inflection, it was a statement of fact and nothing more.
“Ahah, no worries, I’ll help you remember.” He disappeared from your sight like an apparition or a mirage fades when you get to close, and, somehow, you felt worse than before. Lifeless and tired, you lifted yourself into a seated position, legs crossed and hands resting against your ankle bones as you stared at the door. Maybe Kaeya wasn’t actually here, that would be best - you were in no position to be social anyway.
When he reappeared again you were already lost in thought. The outcomes of the day playing over and over again, the failures you made, the interactions that you thought were okay actually turned out to be poison and it all left a bitter taste in your mouth. Where did it go wrong, where did you fail first, perhaps if you worked through the steps you’d …
“Hey now, what’s with this face?” Kaeya’s fingers lifted your chin so you could see him sitting in front of you. When they connected and you caught sight of the expression he held, you felt the stinging sensation push against the bridge of your nose.
“I failed today.” You admitted, and the first tear fell with the truth.
“Failed how?” His thumb pushed away the wet liquid but he didn’t have enough time to stop the others that fell beside them.
“I let myself get worked up … I was too focused on getting the task done and I pushed my stress onto others.” You stared at him, the same expression he held felt different in your warped sense of perspective and you pushed his hand away because of it. “I was … unkind today, impatient. I failed.” Dropping your head into your hands you let yourself wallow in the errors you made; a cocoon of self-loathing, that’s what you wished you could create from the endless phrases that played in your mind.
The room fell silent. It was easy to believe that Kaeya would walk out the door right then and there, now that he saw you for what you really were, he’d never be able to accept you. A metallic ring sounded in front of you. He needed someone better, not a failure or worse… another ring in the air … a worthless slacker. A sharp and reverberating ring sounded in your ears and pulled your eyes from their hiding place.
“Did this catch your attention?” Kaeya asked, catching the golden coin before flicking it again. When it landed in his deft hands, he rolled it over his fingers before presenting it before you. “What do you see?”
“Mora ….”
“Well yes, but look closer.” You did as he suggested, eyes gazing at the coin more carefully. “Do you see the scratches and marks?” You nodded your head, eyes following a rather large scuff that marred the surface of the gold. “Do you think this holds any less value?”
“No …” You answered, glancing at his face and watching the corner of his mouth tug up into a smile.
“Of course not! Nothing is measured by it’s perfection, not even me.” He smiled, “This coin holds value blemishes and all, and, you my dear, are worth far more than a single coin.” You brushed the back of your hand over your forehead, eyes squeezing to avoid shedding anymore tears, even if they were ones of relief. “Take this.” He took your hand and placed the coin in your palm, the metal you thought would be cold felt so warm, so comforting. “Consider this a good luck charm.” You watched him curl your fingers around it before his covered yours and soon your forehead found the pair.
“I’ll cherish this.” You whispered, lips finding his fingers so you could kiss them.
“To cherish something means you’ll keep it close, or so they say.” Kaeya’s tone made you interested, so you lifted your head to look up at him.
“What do you cherish?”
“Now here I thought it was obvious.” His fingers found your cheek and whatever regrets you held from the day dissolved at the feeling of his lips.

Sharing a glass of wine with Kaeya at Diluc's bar
It’s lively, but it usually is. If Kaeya is there, then it’s even more lively - a ruckus one might call it. He’s already so extroverted that he seems to thrive in these environments.
You watch as his arm extends to call for another round and when it arrives he slides the glass toward you. Resting his head in his hand, elbow propped up on the bar and starting at you intently.
“Give it a try, I’m dying to know what you think.” He’s been doing this all night, ordering for you and seeing how you react to the flavor. It’s been ... interesting to say the least. You wondered why people drank because most of the alcohol you tasted was terrible, nothing to be excited about. Though, you liked the ciders and wished he’d just let you get another one.
“Fine, this is the last one.” You grab the goblet and take a sip. It’s thick and, as the dark liquid fills your mouth, you feel a tingle in the back of your throat. It sets your chest on fire, but in a comforting, good way. You look at him and see his eyebrow is raised, he’s curious and waiting for your feedback.
“This one isn’t that bad, actually.” You explain, placing the glass back on the bar.
“I am surprised, I thought for sure you’d have an aversion to this.”
“Well, what is it.”
“Death after noon”
“Ha, why is it called that?”
“Oh dear, you’ll know come tomorrow.” He raises his hand for another round.

Kaeya: Resting his head against your shoulders
-⛸
The two of you are sitting on the couch in Jean’s office. Piles of documents are stacked all over the place and even though he’s supposed to be taking care of these, he’s called on you for assistance.
You grab a stack and plop it onto your lap, the heavy sound is satisfying if nothing else. That’s when you feel something heavy on your shoulder. Blue hair falls into your peripherals and when you turn your head toward it, the smell of spearmint and sweet flowers fill your nose.
“Kaeya?”
“A quick moment, if you will.” He asks, his arms crossed, body leaning against you, the pressure makes it hard to work but it feels reassuring somehow. You run your fingers through his hair and rest your forehead against him, closing your eyes for a second to just take in the moment.
“It must be hard, filling Jeans shoes.”
“They are not my size, and I’ve tried many times.” He slides his foot across the floor and wiggles it back and forth to prove his point.
“Take a minute, I’ll still be here.” Shifting your attention back to the documents. You settle against the couch and start flipping through the pages. Kaeya becomes heavier by the second and after a short while, you hear the sound of his breathing and the looseness of his arms as they slip closer to you.
