Yummy Foods That Make You Healthy!
Do you like tasty snacks and meals? I sure do! But did you know that some foods can make you feel really good and keep you healthy? It's really true!  Eating the right foods gives you energy to play and helps your body grow strong.

Why Are Healthy Foods So Good? 
Healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins have so many great benefits:
• They give you vitamins and minerals that are like a battery for your body and brain.
• They provide energy to jump, run, and have fun all day long.
• They help you grow and build strong muscles and bones.
• They can even put you in a better mood!
My Favorite Healthy Munchies 
There are so many yummy healthy foods to try. 
Here some of my favorites:
Apples - These fruits are sweet and have Vitamin C to keep you from getting sick. You can dip apple slices in little honey for some sweetness
Carrots - Carrots are the orange veggie full of Vitamin A for healthy eyes. This is my favorite vegetable, especially in salad!
Whole Grain Crackers - Look for crackers made with whole wheat or other whole grains. They have more fiber to keep your tummy happy.
Yogurt - This creamy yogurt has lots of protein and calcium for strong bones. I love mixing this with fresh fruits.
Water - Drinking a lot of water is so important too. It keeps you hydrated and you're working well.

I challenge you to try one new healthy food this week! Ask your parents to buy something yummy and nutritious you've never had before at the market or grocery store. It's very fun to explore different tasty foods.
