Can we talk about how amazing of an actor Dylan O’Brien is for just a minute?
Like yes… 90% of the actors of Teen Wolf were simply awesome actors, no argument.
But the same guy who played goofy, ADD, loud-mouth, handles-fear-with-obnoxiously-bad-jokes Stiles also played the absolutely terrifying, true Chaotic Neutral Nogitsune.
And it was totally freaking believable. Never once, while O’Brien was portraying the Nogitsune did I see Stiles. Never once did I doubt that the Nogitsune would kill everyone in Beacon Hills, including Scott and Lydia, if he could get a morbid kick out of it. Hell, Nogitsune Stiles was more believable than creepy Aviator Nogistune (not saying Aviator actor was bad, just that O’Brien was way better).
For an actor to step that far away from his character, and have it be that believable, that intense… It was simply put, some of the best acting I’ve seen in a long time. 10/10, hands down one of the most amazing portrayals of a possessed character I’ve ever seen.

Scott: Well, why not? They’re a lot freaking nicer than you are. Derek: I can show you exactly how nice they are. // What is missing in this transcript is the absolutely *devastating* look Derek gives Scott before he takes Scott to Peter. Hoechlin played it like hurt and anger. (I also wonder what Stiles comment would've been, he was in the room before Derek and Scott left for Peter, if he thought the Argents were nice too?)
Yep! Derek has an obvious negative reaction to Scott’s words–and the audience sure as hell picked up on it, and yet Scott.. doesn’t. More of that Grade A empathy again, I guess?
And if Scott is thinking the Argents are “a lot freaking nicer” than Derek, then wow, that must have been an amazing fucking dinner he had at their place. I’m not sure I’d rate it above the fact they were trying to kill me, but each to their own!
We talk a lot about how Scott is as dumb as a box of rocks, but this scene just covers so many facets of that. With a bonus implied “Stop thinking with your dick” re Allison at the end!

Honestly, that scene where Scott says to Derek’s face and in front of a burned, catatonic Peter that maybe their family deserved to burn just because they are werewolves is the worst scene in all six seasons.
