Hello, US of A!
It’s been a week now since I arrived in SC with two others Filipinos. I met them at the airport in NY. They’re a married couple. A fellow nurse and her husband.

The first few days were really hectic. Our arrival coordinator had this to-do list with her that we need to accomplish in one day. We’re supposed to just take our time and have enough rest the night we landed, but because we’d wasted our precious 5 hours in the runway at NY airport, our schedules became even tighter. We hurriedly ordered dinner from Wendy’s, checked-in the hotel and set up our phones. I think we finished at midnight.
The next day, the coordinator discussed with us our new hire paperwork and then we went straight to the bank to open a checking account.
After that, we had our medical examination, visited our facilities where we will be working and lastly, we picked up my rental car. It’s around five in the afternoon when we ticked all these off the to-do list and we just had our lunch that time.

It was really exhausting. I didn’t know how I was able to drive to my home after that long day. My friends stayed longer in the hotel.
Another appointment was up following that day. I met with my arrival ambassador who is also a Filipino. It’s part of the program of my agency, I just had to do it.
So, yeah. I’d be posting different blogs about my first Sabbath here, my driving experiences, gym workouts and other stuff.
