The thing about The X-Files is that there’s like 200 episodes and two movies, and none of it makes any sense. And half of that is some of the worst crap you’ve ever seen. But then Mulder gazes at Scully or Scully raises an eyebrow or a psychic who can only predict the specific way a person is going to die shows up for an episode, and you’re like this is the best thing TV has ever had to offer.

I know I harp about this line… a lot. A lot a lot. But. For me…every pairing..Mulder and Scully, Jamie and Brienne, Dany and Jorah… those that have seized my heart. This is Them. Duty is an obligation, devotion is a choice. It’s choosing someone over and over, time and again. It’s the endmost expression of love defined in so few words and yet my heart feels like it’s collapsing under the weight of them.
