Unpopular opinion: i want the nicassia book I NEED IT. Why would the book be from jurdan’s pov if it’s going to be about the undersea…. It doesn’t make sense. And if you hate nicassia… she deserves a development guys. Some of you need to lay back on jurdan. WE LOVE THEM YES but there are so many amazing characters besides them.

For people who are annoyed that there was a lot of jurdan and that wrens story fell off it’s because everyone wanted jurdan. They wanted jurdan to be the villains, they wanted Jude and wren to fight. Like who said Jude was going to be the villain? Absolutely no one. Y’all asked for more jurdan well you got it.

I loved the prisoners throne it was a perfect story for oak. I actually liked it more than the stolen heir because for me it was fast paced. But wrens character was so wrong 🧍🏻‍♀️after they came to elfhame she got left out.

But of course everything holly black writes I’ll always love it. This book for me was a 5/5

Honestly If nicassia’s story is in the pov of jurdan I’ll be annoyed to. Maybe hb doesn’t wanna do it focused on nicassia and her pov because a lot of people hate her (I don’t I think she’s such a complex character and I think it will be good to also explore de undersea) but fans want to read more jurdan everyone wanted jurdan they begged hb for more jurdan and we can see how the prisoners throne was centered a lot of them.

My theory of why tpt is such a letdown is because HB had others ideas but the editor probably didnt like it and she had to change the book in the last moment,in a interview shes asked if some caracters from others series will apear and she says yes but they dont,EVERYONE WAS PUSHING THE WHOLE JURDAN VILLAINS and they used for marketing.They were to many gramatical mistakes and the book was to short,also im sorry to give you the news but holly told in one interviews that she plans to write a jurdan focused story again so probably we dont get Nicasia saphic story:(I loved the whole idea of to feel love is to feel known but i whised more from oak and wren interaction(i admit oak pining after wren was so funny and cute)Im going to be honest if the undersea story is from jurdan pov im not going to read it i love them but they story was already told,they already have they caracter arcs,The undersea book should be in the pov of somoane who has tides with that place(i will prefer to be in the pov of nicasia love intrest fighting for her hand and to be a woman)WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO NARATE????

Bro that's why I am leaving place for speculation bc it really DID feel like it took a sudden left turn into "what the people want" in a way that wasn't originally intended. Maybe by that HB meant we get to see Roiben and Kaye in the Lake of Masks, but I doubt it... And the whole villain thing? Jude wasn't even that horrible to Wren, she was very judgemental but ultimately listened to Oak right up until the final 50 pages. I too thought that it was a very nice that the point of the story was that you can't be loved without being known, I just wish we got more time with them and some kind of a breakthrough moment where Wren understands it, too.

And bro... in my Goodreads review I literally said I was terrified that she'd make the Undersea story about Jurdan... I mean. If that happens I am still gonna read it bc it's Jurdan. But I will be very annoyed. Like fr, why would I care what JUDE AND CARDAN have to say about a contest where the winner gets to marry Nicasia!!!!!!!! C'mon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be serious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna know how Nicasia feels about the fact that people keep going out of their way to avoid marrying her and then the only ones interested are in it for the title bc she is that much of an unbearably annoying bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep thinking about how Jude let oak decide if he wanted to be the heir (which of course he said no) because she loves him so much and his happiness always comes first. Now I know a lot of people don’t want jurdan to have children but they might have children now. At their time which is perfect for me. Jude being a mother will be scary af if she did all of that for her little brother imagine what she would do for her child. Also we saw Cardan handling his nephew in the sweetest way.

I wanna talk about the ghost real quick because I know people think him getting turned into a tree was so random and weird. I disagree to some extent because if the next books are going to be about the undersea and nicassia… the ghost would have been a huge problem.

Now that we know Cardan and Jude are siding the undersea without the ghost in the story it will be easier. Since the ghost attack the queen of the undersea in the queen of nothing. So I feel like this was holly tossing his character aside. It made sense because this was oak’s book and like we know the ghost almost killed oak in the womb maybe if oak killed the ghost it would have been more troublesome for the family.
