You ever play a game and you just...you get so disappointed in the end result? Bc that's me with Saya no Uta.

Like...going into it, I *wanted* to like it, despite the...frankly giant elephant in the room, purely bc of the Lovecraftian cosmic horror elements, but after finishing it, it MEGA disappointed me because not only was it So Goddamn Horny (especially when it didn't need to be tbh), but it was really fuckin' misogynistic??? What the fuck honestly.

TL;DR: Saya no Uta is a 4/10 at best and it could have been a lot better if it was less focused on the lolicon shit/general horniness (and throwing in rape scenes that didn't need to be in there at all) and being extremely misogynistic with how it wrote the female characters and if it focused more on the already really well-done cosmic Lovecraftian horror elements. Good soundtrack + VA cast though but not worth it.
