“I’m just trying to find a religion that dovetails with my pre-existing prejudices and moral suppositions, I’m fine with lighting a couple candles and getting a new tattoo or necklace or book or something but I’m not actually looking to change anything substantive about myself”

After fertilization the child has its own unique genetic code from the mother and father, containing everything it needs to know how to develop, an organism exists after fertilization that did not exist before. This is a scientific fact. This is a unique human life. An abortion ends this life.

Fight against sin with all your might. You have only one life to be a saint. If you have even a suspicion that something is a near occasion of sin for you, avoid it, get rid of it, do whatever you have to do. Pray at all times. You don’t get another chance if you die in a state of mortal sin.

God I hate shaving so much
ladies, do you want to be traditional?
grow your hair out.
all of it.
throw away your razors.
have body hair.
women shaving is an incredibly recent development, just barely over a century old. so if you want to live femininity like our foremothers did, exist in your natural hairy state.
bonus points? Certain Wacky Trads might even think you’re one of those filthy feminists for doing it.

My sister is going through some of this now, her husband is Catholic but she is not so they got permission from his bishop to get married and they are having a small Catholic ceremony shortly before their “real” big party and public vows ceremony that’s gonna be pretty secular. This is partly because (as I understand it) the Catholic vows and blessings for a marriage are specific and particular and you need to have them or at least be pretty close to them in a Protestant ceremony to have a sacramental marriage. Hope that helps!
Would you marry someone who wasn't Catholic?
I don’t wish to offer a definite “No”, not because I’m a weak-willed fool (which is true), but because not enough information has been provided.
Now, here’s the weird part: I’ve been under the impression, incorrect or not, that, as a catechumen, I’m not allowed to date Catholics (at this point); and, so, if I were to be married between now and Easter Sunday, well, it is my understanding that I would have to marry a non-Catholic? I think. (Please, please, please correct me if I’m wrong!)
Anyway, setting that aside, of course, the general cautions against disparity of cult and mixed marriages should, naturally, be heeded: now, I’m neither a canon lawyer nor a priest, but CCC 1633-1637 are particularly of note here, I think. Likewise, St. Paul’s words, in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (”Do not be mismatched with unbelievers.”), are true.
Let’s not even get into the cultural aspects of the faith; the beliefs of such a spouse on matters of reproduction, sexuality, child-rearing, etc., etc.; or my (selfish) desire to abandon the city and have a quiet, bucolic life, for that matter. All of which must also come into play.
On balance, then, in the general case: no, barring specific circumstances.

They said whAT WHERE
Folks, even I am pretty traditional. I wanna be a SAHM when we have kids - but you can pry my pants from my cold dead hands
Yeah I mean that post about trad women burning their pants...I mean...that is exactly what I'm talking about...I can't not wear pants to my job and I thought our whole schtick was that what you wear is not necessarily an expression of your gender. You can wear pants and be a good, faithful Catholic woman okay come ON people
