Clindamycin by Dermstrata
Application: PM
Again, another product for my face which did not come from Dermacon nor Surgilight. I’ve purchased this product from Dermstrata. Dermstrata is a Beauty, Wellness Center here in the Philippines. It is one of (I can say) famous beauty centers in the Philippines but not that really expensive. Why did I say that? Because their model is Bianca King (lol).
Going back to being serious about this product, the reason I opted to use this than using Dermacon Clindamycin is that it’s not producing zits on my whiteheads. What I’ve noticed with Clindamycin from Dermacon is that every time I’ll wake up, I’ll have new best friend on my face. I’ve asked my Dermatologist about that and she said it’s normal. I don’t find it normal, honestly. That’s the reason I stopped using Tretinoin and Clindamycin at the same time. I do believe that the best way to cure the problem with my face is to find the best product that really works for you. I’ve read about some reviews on this product and most of it are positive reviews, so I’ve decided to try this. So far, it works well with the other products I am currently using. Hopefully, Zits will not comeback. I’ll continue using this for a week until I go back to my Dermatologist for cleaning.
I know that Clindamycin is a form of antibiotic that stops the production of bacteria. It is a common treatment to pimple/acne issues. I am hoping that all of my current beauty products will help me achieve that clear face!

Gluta Capsules by Surgilight
Applicaton: Once or Twice a Day
Price: 2,500 Php for 30 capsules
I purchased this product from Surgilight because of the belief that Glutathione can improve my skin condition. I was actually planning to have my first gluta-injection but aside from it is too expensive, I would have to have (they say...) 5 sessions to see the improvement.
I first checked with Surgilight how much it would cost for me to have gluta-injection, how long would it last for the procedure and how long would it take before you’ll see the effect. All questions were answered. The receptionist said that 3 grams of glute-injection with Vit C content is 2,500 per session while 5 grams is 5,500. You have to be back every week to complete each session until you finish the 5 sessions. You will also need to maintain it by taking Glutathione Capsules (Of course, offered by Surgilight too!). They asked me why I want to take glutathione cause my skin’s already white. I told them that I want to improve the skin condition on my face and I’ve read about the help of taking glutathione in improving your facial skin condition. See this post http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20524875.
They recommended me to take Surgi White by Surgilight. It is in the form of gel capsule and you can take it once or twice a day. I was also told by the Aesthetician that it helps in losing weight and extra fats.
So far, I am taking it once a day, every morning to be exact. I am satisfied with my fair skin but there’s nothing wrong with improving it. I will try this for a month and let’s hope for the best!

Pore Minimizing Toner by Surgilight
Application: Recommended after Bath
You’re may be wondering why I am using a toner with a different brand and not by Dermacon. The reason for that is simply because my Dermatologist did not prescribe any toner. When she actually checked my face, she said I have infections on my nose area only. The other areas on my face looks okay. My only problem now are the small, rashes-like whiteheads on my face that “MAY” become pimples in the future but I don’t really have major breakout on my face now except for the nose area.
My Dermatologist also refused to clean up my face yesterday. She said I need to apply continue using Clindamycin, Bendac and Vit Lift Cream for a week then she will do the procedure of cleaning up my face next Friday, May 12, 2017.
I am very stubborn to follow that as I’ve been dealing with this rough texture on my face for more than a month already, so I have decided to go to Surgilight Center in SM San Mateo (A Mall in the San Mateo, Rizal Philippines) to have my face cleaned up. The Aesthetician offered to do Facial with Seaweed Mask which she said is good for minor breakouts. I asked for Diamond Peel but she refused to do that because of some small redness on my nose-cheek area. She said it may worsen the case. She also cleared to me that she is only after the blackheads and whiteheads but she will not touch the pimples on my nose.
While doing the procedure, she said that my skin is beautiful and that I need to take care of it more. She asked me what my Dermatologist advised me to use. She never questioned or criticized why my Dermatologist gave me those products (I don’t think she has the right, too.). She only gave recommendations or additional techniques to avoid whiteheads or blackheads that may result to pimples.
She also told me to wipe a cube of ice on my face every morning to help tighten the pores aside from applying a toner. Since I don’t have a toner from Dermacon, I opted to buy Surgilight toner. So far, I have applied it twice. I have applied it last night before using Bendac and Vit Lift. I also used the toner this morning after taking a bath before applying Bendac and my Tinted Sunblock from Dermacon.
Before taking a bath, I’ve used an ice cube and wiped it on my whole face. There’s no harm in trying anyway. :)
I’ve also purchased Surgilight Gluta Capsules. Please see the review on my next post!

Glycerin Soap by Dermacon
Application: (AM and PM) Before application of other beauty products.
This soap does not contain any harmful or harsh ingredients that could irritate my skin. My skin is very sensitive to redness and this is a great product to use if you want to avoid that itchy, stingy feeling on your face. Glycerin is made up of vegetable oil that provides moisture to your face when applied.
This is not just good for acne prone skin, it can also be used by people who have allergies. I’ve had problems too with skin asthma and when my skin asthma attacks especially during the summer time, I use this soap all over my body. I remember when I was in College, my dermatologist prohibited me from using whitening soaps and whitening lotions/creams.

First Product: Bendac Cream
Given by: Dr. Ruby Edwina Santos of Derma Concepcion
Address: 785 J. P. Rizal St, Marikina, 1807 Metro Manila
Phone: (632) 941 4126
Application: Twice a day (AM and PM)
She was first giving me a Tretinoin Product but I refused to take that since she has first given that product to me back in November, 2016. Whenever I apply the Tretinoin Cream, I’m producing more pimples and acne. Instead of continuing with the product, I stopped using it and pimples faded away. That’s the reason I stopped going back to the dermatologist. For a while, my face looks great until a month ago that I started developing this small, rashes-like whiteheads on my face.
I went back to her yesterday (May 5, 2017) and told her to give me an alternative product other than Tretinoin. She gave me Bendac Cream which is her brand name for Benzoyl Peroxide.
Back in 2013, when I was still living in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, I developed the same problem on my face. Since I’m hesitant to go to an Arab Dermatologist because I don’t really know if they understand Asian Skin, I have searched online and found good reviews about Benzoyl Peroxide. A lot of users said that It has helped them dry up their pimples fast but it has caused dryness to their face.
I’ve tried 10% Benzoyl Peroxide of GlaxoSmithKline and it has worked wonders to my face. Yes, it has caused a bit of dryness but it’s tolerable because my main goal at that time was just to remove my pimples. The bottom line is that it has worked and I love the product.
At the same time, I have used a facial wash with Salicylic Acid content. I have used Neutrogena while using  10% Benzoyl Peroxide of GlaxoSmithKline. They’re one of the best products that I have used.
Here in the Philippines, I can’t find a Benzoyl Peroxide made by GlaxoSmithKline so I have tried the one from Galderma which has 5% content only. It failed to give me a satisfying result so I have never used that again. I use Pond’s here with Salicylic Acid but now I am using the soap given by my dermatologist. It is a Glycerin Soap exclusive from Dermacon.

Dermacon Vit Lift Cream
Application: (PM)
The way to apply this is after applying Bendac Cream at night. It is not a pimple fighting product though. My main pimple fighting product here is the Bendac Cream. The use of this product is to revitalize my skin since I’m going to rest at night. It helps my skin to become firm and moisturized the whole night.
Before, I’m not used to applying any moisturizing cream though I’ve read a lot of good things about applying moisturizer. The main reason as to why I’m not into moisturizers is because of my oily skin. I feel like my face produces more oil and it feels irritating. I don’t want to wipe it anyway cause I’ll be wiping out the cream off of my face. lol!
I’m also not into sunblock but I know how important it is most especially that my skin is white and prone to freckles and pimples. My Dermatologist gave me a tinted Sunblock that I can use before applying hypoallergenic powder. She has prohibited me from using heavy make ups. (Good thing, I’m not using make up!)
I will be putting up a review about the Tinted Sunblock which works well too and what makes it unique from other Sunblock in the market.

Yesterday, I started going back to my dermatologist to have may face checked. I am having issues with rashes-like, whiteheads that started to grow on my face. It all started 2 months ago and it’s getting worst.
Since I was a teenager, I’ve had issues with my face. It was all my fault cause I used to have a smooth skin on my face and people used to notice that. It was summer time when I was in 3rd year high school when I started using Maxi-Peel (an exfoliating brand). My face became red as days passed by. People has noticed the big difference. I stopped using it since it doesn’t look good anymore. After a few weeks, pimples start growing and became acne. My face was the worst of all faces I’ve seen. I cried a lot about that but sooner, after trying external medication, the acne has faded but scars and small pimples, blackheads and whiteheads has been my best friend.
I have an oily skin and very sensitive to redness. People don’t notice the scar that much because I’m white and they think of it as freckles. There were times that the texture of my skin would look good and there were times that a lot of issues are going on with it.
Now, I am 28 years old and will be married this December, 2017. I would like to start my journey to a clearer, fairer, smooth texture of my skin. That has started yesterday and I would like to share with everyone my Journey to Impeccable Beauty.
I hope girls/teens/women will learn from this mini blog. Feel free to ask questions as I will be posting products that I am currently using whether it is prescribed or not by my dermatologist.
Feel free to shoot me an email at [email protected].
