Questionnaire:
I choose these questions because i want people to tell me what they think and what they want. These helped me understand what to do in the future so i can make a better game. The results were very helpful because many people wanted my freeze power up to be for less time so i found this fair and it is now set at 1 second. Also people said my audio was quiet so i changed all off it and now it is all clear too hear..

My game is a 4 player game and i wanted it too be on one screen so that is why i set up this camera so we can play on 1 screen. The reason for this is because i used too play Mario a lot and i never needed to have a split-screen on this and that’s what made it so much fun. In the camera i had a kill box as seen in the picture ( The spike) and this was because people would not be too slow and there is also a box at the end of the screen so no one can get past it so they need to be fast and also wait for the power ups and the other levels that they are getting too.

Many people would prefer the fact that it is on one screen because if there was 4 screens then it would be too small considering you all see the same thing anyway. This is because they are all in the same area and so they can see everything the same and they can do everything the same. so that is why it is on 1 screen.

I was using https://freesound.org/ to upload death, jump, background, collect and loud sounds for my game. This was so people could know what happening. If you hear a loud noise then that’s when you know everything has sped up. The reason i used this site to get my sounds was because they are all completely free. And they were good for my game.

The sounds i used are shown above and there was more but i seemed to loose them in my files somewhere. All of them have been used in my game. Each character has a different noise for their jump. This is so the same noise doesn't always get repeated.

Audio evaluation:
In my game i have added audio. This is because like most games they have audio so that they can help tell you an event that is happening. For example if someone dies they can make an ‘oof’ sound. I have added many sounds in my game. They are jump, die, collect a power up, Loud explosion and music. The reason i have a jump is so that it can implement  that you have jumped. I have 4 characters and each of them have a different jump noise. They are all the same but there is all different pitches to them so that you wont get bored of the one jump noise. My death sound is just like a normal arcade death sound. It is not human because i don’t want it to be too realistic. So when you hit a certain barrier in my game you will die. When doing this the code that I had made in the game eill make you stop in the spot and make a death noise whilst the game carries on without the dead players. In my game I had created a power up. The power up was a freeze effect. When you have the power up and press B or 1 then all the players besides you will freeze. When frozen a noise will come out of the code as a crackling effect. This was too implement that someone was frozen. I created a loud explosion for my game as well because my game speeds up every 50 seconds. So every 50 seconds you will know that the game gets faster. The reason for the explosion was so everyone knows when it gets faster. Finally I created my music for my game and my start screen. Unwanted different sounds for both of these because I diddnt want the sound too be repeated too much. All of these sounds were found off freesound.org but for my FMP I will try too create my own sounds.
Game Evaluation :
My game has turned out to be very fun, frustrating and just different. It was fun because many people enjoyed it and we all laughed whilst playing it. And it diddnt really get boring. The reason it was frustrating was because when someone got the power up it lasted 2 seconds so they normally got the win. Because of this i changed the power up to last 1 second. And the reason for it being different was because it was a very bright game. It was hard and good. And I listened to what people wanted and I ended up adding what was needed. My game started off how I wanted it and ended how I wanted it. At the beginning I just started making out the whole level and this went well. I did this so that then I could be ahead of some people. After making all this I moved onto creating 4 players. This was done in the input settings and done by code. The reason I wanted 4 players was because I really liked the concept of 4 players in Mario bros wii. So that's where I got 4 players from and that's also where I got the 1 screen from. I did not want too divide the screen into 4 because here was no point. You were only allowed where your teammates were allowed. This was because I made a camera that moved too the right at a medium speed and every 50 seconds it moves faster. This was done because someone wanted it like this so I wanted what the other people wanted. For people to know when the camera sped up I created a sound that looped every 50 seconds. The sound was loud so people could understand what's happening. Also done in the camera i added death spikes so that if the wall on the left toucjed them they would die. This was so people was not sitting back and so they could have fun. After sorting all of that out I wanted to add colour too my game and so I went onto a website and got that tile pallet and put it into Photoshop so my game could have have a nice colour theme to it. I imported different colours into the game for characters and the level itself. After this i sped my character in the characters blueprint. I turned the speed up so it can match the tittle 'speedrun'. After all of this i added all my sounds to the game. Such as jump, die, collect a power up, Loud explosion and music. This is all seen in the evaluation for sound above. After all of this was completed I added so much more to the level and finally added death barriers. This was done by creating an actor blueprint. Then add a cube and give this a box collision. Then in the code you needed to (forgot the code). Then I got people to playtest my game and everyone enjoyed it. Someone suggested a power up and that's when I added in a freeze power up. This took a while to do and I had too create a power up block and this was done using Photoshop. I made it an ice cube. This was beca8se it's simple and I don't want to do to much because it's an arcade game. That is the reason I only added 1 power up. This is because on an arcade controller you have the move buttons and 2 extra buttons. Jump and something else so in my case it's freeze. After all this was done we playtested it once more and I got feedback as seen on another post. But here was a comment on making it so you can't go out of the screen on the right side so I created an invisible barrier there too make it more fair on all the players. This was easily done by going into he camera and creating a block that blocks the end of the screen. Then change the collision to blocks all and turn visibility off. After this i saw another comment and it said 2 seconds is too long for the power up so I changed it to 1 second and more people prefer this.

We found a mood board on a site called sprite resources so that we could use a character to create an animation for. I however did not use this in my game at all because i didn’t really like the look of it.

We were adding sprite sheets so we can practice making our games. We made it so that they were animated and so we could use the character. We used a spreadsheet page to bring the sprite sheets into the game just by dragging it in.

Part to my game so far:
I have added many sounds to the characters now and I have almost come to finishing. All I need to do is add more to the level and maybe make a random level generator. I have also added a freeze ability and it has made the game more tactical and fun.

Power ups: 
In my game i have been inspired too add a power up. This was because someone said it would be a great idea too try adding a power up so i took  their word and it turned out great. My game is so much funner now and it is very more competitive because everyone is racing towards that power up.

Here is what my power up looks like in game and once you pick it up it will make a sound. This is too show that someone has picked up. The reason for the design is because it is a freeze power up and so you can freeze people for a second and that will give them a huge disadvantage.

My game is partly based off Mario so that is why i decided to add the power up and so i really enjoyed it. I wanted to make the power up different to other games so that why i decided too create an ice cube.

I chose to use an adapter for my project because we had 4 players in it. This was to make it helpful for me. So that i did not need to hunt through the PC to find USB ports. having an adapter is so much better as well because in my FMP game i could have around 6 players.

Freeze power up:
I have used all the code seen above for my freeze power up and now im adding a sound so you know that you are frozen. The reason for this is so players will understand that they can move.

Sound: Sound is very important in my game. I need menu sounds, actual game sound, death sound, when it gets faster sound, jump sound, ability sound (when pick up and when frozen). These are to show what is going on so it will sort of help the player knowing what's going on. Also it's to make the game more fun.

Summary so far:
My game is am arcade game based off 3 games. Mario, sonic and run sack-boy run. The reason for this is because I wanted too create a 2D side scroller map. My game has a screen that constantly moves and is up too 4 players. The reason for this is because I want people too be able too enjoy a competition. My characters were all different and unusual colours. This was because I didn't want them too match the surroundings. All you need to do in my game is avoid the moving wall and the death barriers in the game. Parkour your way through the map and try too get to the end... If there is one. More coding is going too be added to my game so it will make iflt more fun and also more playable.

 Aim of the game:
The aim of the game is too make it as far as you can without dying to the obstacles or the moving wall.  This game is based off of Mario, sonic and run sack boy run. In these games they can use a lot of  speed and in run sack boy run if you are too slow something will catch up too you and kill you. These games have inspired me too make my game because its very competitive and very fun too play with your friends.

Main menu set up:
We are using a new level too create our menu so then its a separate thing to our actual game. This is so it isn't attached to the screen forever and so we can click too play our game.
