I imagine it would be very much like when a human is unexpectedly pregnant.
It would vary from Troll to Troll. Ranging from "We're doomed ☠️" to "Oh my guh, what a blessing 💕!"
If we're going off my previous headcanon that a two parent egg is formed when two Trolls are in love + they do the do + their hair connects at some point.
An unexpected egg could happen. 🤔
Sometimes a hairpin slips out of place, their hair interlocks without them noticing or even maybe, maybe, maybe, rarely... a Troll falls in love before the other Troll does, and an egg appears before they're both ready.
I mean they're Trolls, so that feeling of doom would last 2 seconds before rainbows shoot out of their ears and they're like "Ohh my guhhh I'm having a babbbyyyyy!" 🎉🌈🥚🌈🎉
Buuuuuut if an eggo did happen and the Troll(s) decided 'no, really, they don't want a kid?'
Ultimately it would the decision would mean Eggdoption.
