When you stepped into Heungmin's private karaoke room, the warm glow of the neon lights welcomed you, casting a soft ambiance over the space. After a few songs, a few drinks, and a lot of kisses, Heungmin made his way to the karaoke machine to look for something else, scrolling through the extensive song list. As the sun dipped low, casting a warm glow on the lively streets of London, you made your way to Sonny's house, ready to surprise him on his birthday.

Arriving at Sonny's doorstep, you took a deep breath and knocked eagerly. The door swung open, revealing Sonny in his pajamas, a mix of confusion and surprise on his face. Without missing a beat, you shouted, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" at the top of your lungs, making him jump a little.

He blinked in shock, then broke into a grin. "Wow, you scared the life out of me!"

You chuckled. "Well, get ready, birthday boy! We're not spending your special day indoors. Throw on something decent; I've got a surprise for you!"

Sonny, still a bit disoriented, nodded and went to get ready while you waited for him in the living room. A short while later, he came back, dressed and ready for whatever adventure you had in store.

"So, where are we going?" he asked, curiosity lighting up his eyes.

You just winked, keeping the mystery alive. "It's a surprise. Trust me, you're gonna love it."

Leading him through the lively streets of London, you finally arrived at the Korean restaurant you booked for the occasion. The amazing scent of sizzling meat and aromatic spices hit you both as you stepped inside. The place was decked out in beautiful Korean decor, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance.

With a sneaky grin on your face, you nodded.

"But... how do you know those words? And your pronunciation was... so good!"

"Thank you!" you replied in Korean. He started to laugh, amazed by the situation, and seeing his reaction made you so happy.

"Do you know more?" he asked in English, then switched to Korean, "Do you understand me?"

"Yes!" you immediately replied in Korean.

"What!" He laughed so much, and you could see in his eyes that he was getting a bit emotional. To make sure you really understood Korean, he asked one more thing in his native language, "What are we here for tonight?"

"We're here to celebrate your birthday!" you answered in Korean. He was stunned. You then explained in English, "I've been secretly studying Korean for a few months for you, Sonny. I wanted to chat in your language and to make you feel more at home here. So, happy birthday!"

His disbelief turned into pure joy, a big smile on his face. "This means the world to me," he admitted. "I've always tried to learn bits of everyone's language and culture, but no one's done it for me. Also, it feels lonely sometimes when I have no one to speak my language with, except my parents. Thank you so much! Wow, this is amazing!"

"Well, now you got someone who did," you told him, being real. "Hope this small thing brings a bit of home to you, even when you're miles away."

As the night rolled on, you and Sonny shared tons of stories, laughs, and memories. Your Korean skills made the connection even deeper, breezing through language and culture stuff. Sonny's eyes sparkled with gratitude and happiness, and the lonely feeling he had when he was alone at home on his birthday completely faded away.
