β€œAfter our return from Germany, we persevered to conquer the world with our music. That is why, on March 21, 1961, we performed for the first time at the Cavern Club, at 10 Mattew Street. The atmosphere was different in Germany, we didn't have as much to captivate the public, the girls screamed, jumped and so on. However, they were not as easy to access as the little Germans.
Our living conditions were much more acceptable, we had enough to feed ourselves properly, although we only drank beer, we had our homes to sleep, and then we were at home, simply.
We grew up in Hamburg, all our musical experiences were built over there. I always keep incredible memories, despite our failures, our difficult moments, tensions..
We paid tribute to Stu' while continuing to believe in our success.
On November 9, 1961, a man named Brian Epstein wanted to meet us to propose to be our manager. Such a great opportunity presented itself to us, we seized this opportunity and we were right.
He said that our performances at Cavern Club were incredible, that we had power over the crowd, which was very consistent.
Most of our fans were young girls, who wanted to spend the evening with all of us. We were acclaimed as real stars.
Things started to get out of hand when Brian Epstein asked us to find another drummer because George Martin thought Pete Best was not classy enough. We all looked at each other and we all had the same idea: Ringo Starr.
We had met Ringo Starr and he was playing with his band, The Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. We then contacted him to play with us, and he has definitely become a Beatle. However, the fans were not really of the same opinion as us, they all shouted: 'Pete is Best!', 'Ringo never, Pete forever!'. In the middle of the concert, George shouted at them, which calmed them down, except for some peoples who kept shouting.
When George returned to the foretop, he was hit by a guy who was a fan of Pete, which plunged Ringo into deep discomfort. At that time, we were still not aware of what our music could be causing, the club was filling up more and more, we were starting to become well known in Liverpool. We were like Elvis Presley of Liverpool.
So we kept playing until we took out our first MP, 'Please, Please me' who managed to get us out of the Cavern Club. We always keep a very good memory of this club that forged the musicians we are today.”

John Winston Lennon. Born on October 9, 1940 in Liverpool, son of Julia and Alfred Lennon, but I lived with my aunt and uncle. I grew up there and spent part of my life there. I was not an easy kid, from my youngest age, I wanted to control everything around me. I used to fight and be considered the thug of my school. Nobody dared to tell me anything, I was terrorizing and I loved it.
At school, my teachers nicknamed me "the disruptive element", which was quite true, since I spent my time bothering the class and doing anything.
When I entered to high school, I immediately made others understand that I was the leader, the head of high school, few people liked me, everyone feared me.
Despite this confidence in me, I had a great injury inside me. The lack of a mother and the loss of my uncle. I was really upset by this sudden disappearance, he was like my father. I knew how to keep my sadness deep in me by taking refuge in music.
When the Rock'n'Roll appeared, and Elvis made himself known, I was convinced that I had to become like him, even bigger than him.
I started the banjo with my mother, thanks to that I was able to reconnect with her. I then created my own Skiffle band, The Quarrymen. We were classmates and we just played for fun.
I met a kid who changed everything, Paul, Paul McCartney. He was really good, and that made me almost jealous.
However, the moment of happiness was only short-lived. Death took my mother far too soon. I was completely devastated, but it brought me closer to Paul, who had also lost his mother.
We formed The Beatles when George Harrison and Stuart Sutcliffe arrived. We have become good musicians, very good musicians.
As if the death of my mother was not enough, Stuart died in his turn, the world began to collapse for me. I felt like everyone was leaving me. But thanks to the help of George, Paul and Pete, I kept my feet on the ground.
When Ringo Starr arrived, we became the largest group in the world, loved by millions of people and became bigger than Elvis.
