Morning meal contrast
We both have shakes in the morning but that's where the similarity between our breakfasts ends.
My shake has frozen fruit, nut milk, yogurt and protein powder, maybe some nut butter or avocado if I'm looking for extra protein.
Yours is all about the calories. Weight gain powder, heavy cream, nut butter and sweetener. It has at least triple the calories that are in mine.
By the time I'm done with the blender, you're usually out of bed and making your way into the kitchen. I hand you your shake and smile as you make a kitchen chair groan by sitting down. Your belly seems to inch closer to your knees day by day.
While you're sucking down the shake, I'm putting together your second course. A trio of fried egg sandwiches or a stack of pancakes with sausage. Maybe a big bowl of oatmeal with cream, candied nuts and chocolate sauce, or a cheesy omelet.
The goal is always to get you most of the way to the daily calorie requirement for a normal adult before you leave the table. Some days, you pack away more than a day's worth of calories in your very first meal.
You're such a big eater and you're getting so fat. Just goes to show breakfast is the most important meal of the day 😉
