ive thought about genderbent versions of them before but jo is always especially hard because her whole character kind of relies on her being a woman. idk if she were a guy i think thatd just make her the embodiment of toxic masculinity,, joes appearance doesnt change much, i guess skinnier and lankier w neck length hair so lightning mistakes him for a girl.
i couldnt decide on bricks name. ive seen brie and brooke as other options and i rlly like brooke but thats also what i go by lmao so it feels weird
brie is incredibly buff and stronger than joe. joe is mad about that. im not very good at drawing muscles sry
personally if jo were a guy i think id hate him lol. she goes from tomboy w internalized misogyny to lowkey a misogynistic dickhead and i dont think i like that, but its interesting to think about how different his story would be.

Yes yes he and Alejandro have 0% interactions, BUT recall in the last post i also mentioned fanon and also if y’all have seen an earlier post of mine I did say that I headcanon the two as buds if they were to meet hypothetically….

Just adding the individual boyos dont mind me
#MerMay came early this year besties 😤😤 I present to y’all PART ONE of the 7 Sons of Triton in my TD little mermaid au with Alejandro as Ariel. Also I went with inspo from the live action’s designs, but with each character’s own flavour. It made sense given the diversity of the new sisters and the diversity of TD’s characters. Also to choose his “brothers,” I went with characters Al has the most positive interaction with (take that with a grain of salt…) either canon or in the fandom (this is more obvious in part two). Anybody to wants to dabble in adding to this au are very much welcome to, show these mermen some love 💗
So as consistent with lore of the live action little mermaid, we have:
Prince Alejandro of the Carinae Sea
Prince Duncan of the Chaine Sea
Prince Scott of the Saithe Sea
And Prince Lightning of the Fracus Sea
