sure 90% of the cql cast went in auditioning for xue yang but my favorite casting story is how zhu zanjin went for lan sizhui like “it’ll go great my dimples make me look nice and youthful and innocent” and the casting director said “yes exactly that’s why they’re Evil Dimples and you’re a villain now”
