Monet-Mitchell at the Louis Vuitton Fondation, a dialogue of two painters crossing time. How fascinating it is to see how each of them chose colors, scale, and their singular approach of landscape. Bonjour Paris ! Until 31/12🇫🇷 Good to be home /too A little about this work: That French touch, wall sculpture colors are important in my practice, related to light, to location, to culture and experience.
It's been now six years that I Left France to live in Israel.
the difference between countries is wide and wild on many levels as you can imagine.
I Have accepted now to be always assimilated as "that french" with all it can mean.
Being a stranger, being different, having to deal with both countries stigma and appreciation without minding. 
I played with the french flag original design and original colors, and added some vector pieces to give it a new dynamic, a new meaning, as a translation in my own hard edge language.

If you want to see the light, you need to drown in the darkness. So I went there. Dimension was first an idea that i developed in drawings and on paper with color pencils.
sometimes you need to reduce the medium to see if the project is worth painting.

in dark days, you need to find an escape, or more a mindscape where you can hold on and find harmony.
All this serie is minimal in the concept to let colors stand for light and space.

wether you look closer, you will see the gradients going from light to darkness and if you look from afar you will see the different shapes involved questioning the space you live in.

Commission Light Torus, for someone special in Paris. With the absence of direct light, I worked with mirrors, dichroic cubes and artificial light sources. The main idea was to capture light at different times of day and interpret these moments with gestures of varying intensity and a dialogue between colors.
